Please can you put me down for £280 Mrs M - this is £20 less than the last 3 months but I finally think I'm getting the hang of this even though I'm a newbie money saver! I only wish I had another freezer (I batch cook so many things now
)
I will declare March's total on Tuesday when my final shop gets delivered. I'm now using Mr A via My Supermarket and it looks like I'm saving money as I always used Mr T before. Just wish I could get as many whoopsies as some folk on here seem to. My local Tesco (only a Waitrose here other than Mr T) only ever seems to have ready meals or pre-packed veggies reduced, and as far as I'm concerned thats not real OS. Maybe I'll have to try going there at about 10pm, just to see if thats the time the real bargains come out.
Also aim to have quite a few NSD's this month, though I did have a LOT in March as I hurt my knee a month ago and was laid up for 3 weeks, and try as I might I just couldn't spend anything when I was confined to the house :rotfl:
Good luck everyone0 -
Hi, can I join in for the first time please? I intended to start doing this last year - saved all my receipts in November, then did nothing with them! I found them the other day and added them up - gulp! Thought I was spending about £450 a month, but they came to £550. That's for 2 adults, 2 teens, 2 kids and 4 cats - for all food, toiletries, cleaning stuff.
Could you put me down for £450 for April please? My month starts on 31st and I will be saving those receipts again. Thank you!0 -

To be frugal, you need to spend money wisely, simply spending less is not enough.If you can't handle me at my worst then you don't deserve me at my best...Courage doesn't always roar. Sometimes courage is the little voice at the end of the day that says I will try again tomorrow.0 -
Hi
Please could you put me down for £80 again.
Went a little bit over last month but took advantage of some bargains and storecupboard ingredient offers which should save me money in the long run.
Thanks to everyone for the fab thread and great posts."A bargain is something you can't use at a price you can't resist." Franklin Jones0 -
First weeks shops of April included Mr M, Mr S and Costc0. DH has had a Costc0 card for years but this is the first time we have used it to do a shop. Got some good deals on baby wipes, soap powder, face wipes, squash and stocked up on 18 months worth of razors for DH, 5kg of granulated and 5kg of caster sugar which should last me into next year. Also got some meat, scones and crumpets to 'test'. All were great so will be buying these again in future. My scones never come out very well.:o
Also stocked up on toilet roll and kitchen towel at Mr S and got the 30p fruit and more squash on offer in Mr M.
Good job I run an annual budget or I would have blown my month in the first weekend!
A total of £150.47 spent.:eek: My aim is to eat the contents of the freezer over the next three weeks so I can restock ready for when the baby arrives and I wont have time to cook.Save £10,500 - £2673.77 - 25.5%
Pay off £7000 - £1743 - 19.4%

Our school has formed a partnership with Able & C0le to supply veg and fruit boxes which the Yrs 5&6 pupils will sell. Looks like a good deal and means that I can collect from school on a set day rather than having to wait in for a delivery.
That sounds like a good idea - do you know if it's something they offer everywhere, or just something your school has been able to arrange. Our PTA is always looking for new ideas - they already have a scheme where you can buy Sainsburys giftcards via the school and they get a commission, so this would fit in nicely.DFW Nerd no. 884 - Proud to [strike]be dealing with[/strike] have dealt with my debts0 -
