Quick update: I spent £5.16 yesterday, leaving the amount in the the April pot to £120.12.
Have a good day everyone!!!0 -
A week in and I have spent a huge amount out of my £180 target,
I had my shopping delivered from Sainsburys yesterday so hoping with a bit of strict menu planning I can get it all to stretch to 4 weeks obviously will have to buy Milk, Fruit and veg but even then I would have managed to half the amount I usually spend on my monthly grocery shop so I will be so chuffed if I do manage to do it.
Normally I don't do monthly shops just tend to do a huge shop every 2 weeks and then fill up every other week with bits and bobs that I think I need... Not sure how my new way of doing the grocery shop will go down with DH and DS as I have not bought any of the usual snack type things that fill my fridge (Pork pies, scotch eggs etc.) nor have I bought the usual multi packs of crisps ..So if they are hungry in-between meals they can just eat some fruit or go withoutOctober grocery Challenge

No spending for a couple of days. :j
I may have to do a bit tomorrow, not much food though (I hope!). have reached £116.24/£400, which isn't too bad as I have enough food for the next couple of weeks meals. Just things like milk and F&V to top up with...oh and eggs...DS2 is having 5-egg omelettes every other day the the mo!
Have a great day everyone.

Been to Aldi, Asda and Morrisons this morning with toddler and baby in tow!
Aldi - £4.13
Asda - £8.14
Morrisons - £11.61
Aldi have lovely-looking Maris Pipers for 99p for 2.5 kg which I got. ANd the 12 Muller Lights for £2 in Morrisons of course! Plus a few other bits ad pieces, but the fridge, freezer and cupboards are rammd full so I am hoping the rest ofthe month will be cheap, with only bread and milk and fruit and veg etc

Just popping in, dont think I've forgotten all of you.
I'm so proud, I haven't been shopping since I did my "big shops" over a week ago - lots of NSD's!! I'm now getting to the stage where I need to get some fresh veg and salad stuff, but not going to Mr A's until Saturday. Keep your fingers crossed for me, hoping I can keep to my list.0 -
Hi all well i massively over spent already arghhh, darn bank holiday weekend and OH going mad all the time.
Anyway back on topic.
got some supplies in yesterday for the week, made a massive tub of liver pate and tangy bean pate. so need to sort that into tubs for the freezer. Also have lots of apple curd, nut butter, potatoes and rice in. Fingers crossed won't need to buy so much for the rest of the month. Will have to buy some onions and carrots though. Just used up about 10 manky ones making carrot cake. hmmm carrot cake.
Just making another of buns for pack lunches tomorrow.Back on in a bit.0 -
Just done an online shop at Ocado as they sent me a voucher for free delivery and 20% off and free shop on demand for two weeks.
Orderered £90 odd worth but this included £26.50 on wine which isn't included so I've taken that off.
Then thought I'd go to Farmfoods in town and see if I could get any of it cheaper.
Got Hovis large loafs at two for £1.00 and two lots of four litres of milk for £1.50 and stocked up on some frozen stuff mainly for DS.
Anyway spent £32.00 in Farmfoods (£35 with a £2.50 voucher off) and then came back and took stuff off my Ocado order so the food part of that has gone down to £36.00.
So spend today are £68.00 and spend up to today was £23 so total for month to date £91.00.
Should have enough in now though until next weekend (10 days).
If I divide my monthly total of £200 into the 30 days this month that would make £6.67 per day so I should have only spent £51 but given I'm not going to need anything for ages I'm still on track.GC Jan £318/£350, Feb £221.84/£300, Mar £200.00/£250 Apr £201.05/£200 May £199.61/£200 June £17.25/£200

Despite being super hungry on drive home managed to avoid Mr W where I would have been tempted to spend ££££ and have now had quick bacon sandwich. Good news is that mother gave me 4 pints of milkshe didn't need so fingers crossed for NSDs for the next few days. Have a couple of apples to use so will be stewed apples and custard for desert tonight.MFW 91 op 2014 £410/1000
