Sky or Virgin media???

I've been thinking about changing over too but my sister was not happy with VM when she swapped.
With Sky+ if I record something (Corrie for instance) I then watch it the same night but at around 11pm or similar. My sister said this wasn't possible and I would have to wait till Virgin chose to show it at a later date.
Is this true? I too would miss the Sky+ capabilities with series linking etc.
Your getting mixed up with catchup tv and v+. Catchup tv is bbciplayer etc and v+ is like sky+ but even better, you can record 2 programs and watch a 3rd.0 -
I'm happy with Virgin TBH. But I've never had any experience of any others so I've got no point of comparison.
I love having catch up tv and the on demand service you get free with the XL pack is quite good as well - we're watching the first series of True Blood at the moment from it. I don't know if Sky have anything similar?
We don't have a V+ box but I've heard from a couple of my friends that it's better than the Sky+ recorder.Trev. Having an out-of-money experience!
C'MON! Let's get this debt sorted!!0 -
Picture quality on Virgin is dire around here, HD is a joke, very poor.0

Really, cant see how thats possible considering its a digital signal unless there is a fault on your line causing the picture to break up0 -
We swopped to Sky from Virgin (thankfully retaining our Virgin broadband) Sky is a very inferior service both in terms of performance, customer service and hardware. V+ is a far superior product, and more user friendly imo. We cannot wait till our contract is up and we can change back.0

Thanks for the replies everyone, think I am going to give them a go. I'll save enough to make it worth trying and can keep my Sky+ box in case I want to change back after the 12 month contract is up...0
