  • Thanks ive never heard about PDA card before. ill have a look at them tonight. Ive never even made a proper card before so wedding invites are going to be a challenge.
Well with uni i have gone back half way through the year as i stopped last year to have my daughter, so i now have twice as much as everyone else to do and assignments an exams coming out of my ears, so much so that one has said if i do it all it will be a miracle. So atm im creating that miracle, planning wedding and bringing up my kids.

Foam roses turned up this morning and there very nice so ill have a play with them soon.

If you aren't used to car making use pre-cut card because the hardest part is cutting things straight. Also use double-sided tape not glue it is easier and much less messy so you won't risk having gluey fingerprints everywhere.

Hi all, how is everyone getting on? I sent the invites out this week! Just waiting for the RSVP's now, altho my OH is more excited than I am about getting replies. He keeps asking whether the post has been...

Had a weeks holiday so haven't been able to do much, to be honest it was a nice break from it all but am back planning again now. And getting stressed. Meeting a girl this morning to talk wedding flowers and table decs. I want some church flowers, my bouquet and a posy for my niece, button holes for the 4 men and I guess corsages for the 2 mums. Then a centrepiece for the top table and maybe 8 table decorations for the reception. I'm hoping it won't cost too much as we have a fairly small budget, but I don't want to do it myself as I'm not crafty and I work shifts so I don't have the time.

I've spoken to a girl at work who is also going to quote me in a week or so. there's also a chap at work whose wife works in a florist, she's done a few work weddings. The last one I heard about cost £700 for flowers but there were 10 bridesmaids and the church was filled, with displays on the window sills and all sorts. Bit out of my price range tho!

Anyway, hope everyone is doing ok and the planning is going well.

    Bless him :)

Ah did you have good holiday? I need a holiday! I just keep thinking about the 3 weeks I will get in August.

If real flowers are over your budget do you think you would like alternatives?

The holiday was lovely, a week in Wales with the in laws. Am getting to know them now.

I'm waiting to get the quote back for real flowers, if it is too much I'll look at alternatives. I like the idea of someone doing all the flowers and setting everything up for me, I won't have time on the day and don't really have anyone to help.

Still no replies back yet - damn these bank holidays!

But, have bought some suntan lotion for the honeymoon, which is very exciting!

We asked for all our RSVP's by no later than end of May and we have had all except one respond so pleased with that and only one couple can't make it.

Haven't sent evening invites out yet, I have ordered them and am just waiting for them to arrive.

Have given the hotel a list of the guests who need a room on the Friday and Saturday night and have the menu choices in from the guests and so I now need to prepare a spreadsheet for the hotel of who is having what.

Glad you picked your wedding song MrOrganised - we are still struggling with ours!

Think most things are organised now. Having my first hair trial tomorrow and feeling nervous about that as don't really know what I want and so I hope they have some ideas.

How is everyone else getting on?

    Hi All,
Don't know if I told you all, but after I'd managed to get another venue for my DD's reception, the Grooms parents, (Who are paying for the reception) have decided that they don't like my choice:mad:
They have booked another with a marquee now:eek: I have had enough! I told my DD that as long as I get my £400 back that I laid out for another venue I don't want to know any more. I've paid out enough, and there is NO money left!:o

I have decided that the stress is too much for me (I have MS and stress isn't good, it causes relapses of my condition) and am leaving it up to them now.
    I'm not wrong am I?
    I Believe in saving money!!!:T
