my dress is not what i thought i would get either but when i tried it on i knew it was the one! its an ellis bridals dress its A-line and strapless i thought i would have picked a bigger princess type one but they just didn't look as nice on me. bms dresses are strapless as well in blue and quite fitted. OH has to organise suits soon too but hes so laid back its unreal while i'm flapping about worrying about everything lol

  • Hey cheeky! lol how come i'm doing most the planning for our wedding? i must be doing something wrong if i'm meant to be the one chilling out.
My w2b managed to get her bm dresses in the sale at debenhams satin gold, strapless, look really nice got 3 for less than £150 although they will need altering a little. she also managed to get matching shoes and bags for grand total of £180! which i thought was good for her cos she has expensive taste

Congrats on 12 week scan being all ok, how exciting!

cazmanian_minx - any luck with the dress?

Nope :( Even worse, I've seen a dress in Elie Saab's 2011 Pronovia collection I love as well and I daren't even think about what that might cost. Fortunately the nearest stockist is about 650 miles away in London, so I think I'm safe :D

I've also discovered that according to the Alfred Angelo sizing chart I'm a 10-12 on top and a 16-18 around the waist  - good thing I'm ramping up my running in preparation for starting half marathon training in December!! Lost an inch off the waist so far, another 3 or 4 need to vanish if I'm going to get into a size 12. (I'm a size 10-12 in jeans on the high street - who says vanity sizing doesn't exist??!)

Booked the disco for the reception last night so that is another thing to cross off the list. There still seems so much more to do! Just had confirmation that the save the date postcards I ordered have been posted to me and so will feel better when I have delivered them to our day guests.
How is everyone else getting on?
