Re:the Lancs/Yorks debate, I'm a Lancashire lass through and through and my OH is a Yorkshireman. We go through this debate regularly, with me giving him all the 'short arms, deep pockets' stuff! As he is originally from Hull he usually responds with "Shurrup or al brae yer ed in!" (Roughly translates as "Please desist or I may become aggressive!") All good fun!
:rotfl::rotfl: ... Does he give you roses on Valentine's Day, and if so, are they red or white? ;):D

    Happy Birthday Tootles!

Morning SnowyOwl, Amanda666, Catowen, Chipps, PenelopePenguin, kyle, Churchmouse, Chickadee, catzine, Nelski, jan59, pink-winged, kiwichick, sweet-pea, troo, Lucie, joannasmum, Dobie, tootles, pancakequeen,
**purpleprincess** and anyone who posts later :D :hello:

Icemaiden : I heard something about that ... thanks for reminding me to go have a look at the BBC website. Actually a bit worrying as IL's are away in Spain ATM and SIL is flying out to Crete on Friday. I know it's not the USA but I don't think terrorists who want to cause problems for the UK will stick to just USA flights _pale_

Twink : My 5-year old daughter announced to me the other day that at 27 I'm ancient :eek: Still haven't managed to get out of her what she think her 50 year old grandparents are :rotfl:

    moggins : enjoy the farm.

Lillbet : :grouphug: Let it all out. Have a cup of tea, and do NOTHING unless you really really have to. Let your OH take care of spud when he's about and take some time for you. ;)

bargainrzl: I'm only worried about the terrorists as I live right under numerous flightpaths to Liverpool airport plus I have close family either away or going away this week otherwise it's a case of "well there's not much I can do about it  "

Well I came down this morning to find OH has used up the milk, almost all the bread (and whats left is going off) and the spread is nearly gone so I need to go shopping. Already made the decision, based on the black clouds and howling wind, that we're only going to pop to the co-op. It may be more expensive but its a lot quicker and I won't end up browsing ;) Other plans for today include teaching DD how to menu plan and do a grocery stock-up :rotfl: I said to OH that since I've been doing the storecupboard challenge this past couple of weeks and with the fridgefreezer breaking, my next shop with him is going to be like our first shop minus a couple of bits  As my mind is completely blank when it comes to shopping lists (although I was dreaming about writing them last night  ) I'm working through the threads in the mega index. I'll get there eventually.

Should really get a move on as I have a couple of more things to do online before I run out to the shops. Later

Just lost my post  doesn't it make you mad.

Happy Birthday Tootles:smileyhea Enjoy your day,

(((((hugs)))))) to Lillibet. Don't beat yourself up, we all fall off the wagon now and again. Just pick yourself up and take baby steps again. It's hard juggling it all. I think your doing a great job.

I'ts going to be freezing again tonight. Hot water bottle again me thinks. I had a salmon (can) & potato pie for tea tonight. It was really yummy. Haven't made it before. It had mashed potato on the bottom.

Hope you all have a lovely day. A few weeks ago I made a montage. Here it is for my kindred spirits (steaky beaks) :D

Don't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia. ;)

    :grouphug: :grouphug: for Lillbet

Can I just say that you are doing a wonderful job, Spud is a delight and in the last 12 months your life has changed so much. If you are feeling tired all the time then maybe a quick visit to the doc just to be on the safe side.

Just remember that Rome wasn't built in a day and more importantly Monica was a made up person!! :D:D:D

I don't know if I need a stiff talking too, tea & sympathy or an almighty shock. I think I just needed to get it all out. Sorry:o

    Aw Lils,

From one knackered, increasingly insomniac, stressed out mum to another, 36_3_11.gif. Dont beat yourself up over it all chook. If that georgeous boy of yours is happy and healthy then thats all the REALLY matters in the big scheme of things. Anything you feel you need to sort out or get back on track with can be tackled slowly, one day at a time until you feel confident about it again.

I fell off the OS wagon with an enormous thud with the house move and having been here for nearly 3 months now I'm still nowhere near where I was pre-move. The food budget is still shot, I am trying to get back into online food shopping as I tend to spend less. The kids are eating more shop bought than home made and are now refusing to eat my cooking. The BM is still in the cupboard :o. I did make a very organised budget for august which has gone out the window cause at the moment I have the energy to get through the day and not much else.

Give yourself a hug, give Spud a big kiss and remember that you are a great mum. You WILL get back on track with the OS when you are ready to.

    Love and Hugs,
    Al.

    Morning!!!

I am so glad our flying is over and done with for the summer!! What chaos but better safe than sorry.

Was very good last night, started my Household Notebook, mopped floors, finished washing, planned an early night but BB tempted me :o .

This morning DW emptied, stripped our bed and in WM, DH will hang out and put the next load on. Weather looks dubious though.

Breakfast - Muesli with dried fruit.
Lunch - Left over Spag Bol
    Dinner - Prawn Stir Fry

Tonight - need to sort our bedroom out, lots of clean clothes to put away.

I'm a bit peeved as the airline texted me Tuesday to say they would be delivering our lost suitcase (with all our holiday booze in amongst other things), DH stayed in all day with DD and DS and it never turned up. With every thing thats going on, it's hardly likely to get to me today so think I'm going to have to contact my insurance company. Have a big night out tommorrow, up in Mayfair and really need to do my nails and all my manicure/pedicure stuff is in there too. Look like a dogs dinner today!!
    HAPPY BIRTHDAY TOOTLES!!!!!
Lilibet: Don't be too hard on yourself, we all fall off the wagon every now and again. You're aware of it and you know you'll clamber back on when you're good and ready, take your time and take it easy. :grouphug:

Right better get on with some work.

    Have a lovely day all!!
