lillibet, dont kick yourself too much, when you can manage it, just take a deep breath and jump back on! Sure everyone here will grab a bit and make sure you don't fall off again. LIke everyone else, I think you're doing a wonderful job as it is so massive ((((hugs)))) from me too!
snoozer, it's your anniversary! Don't let it slide! Drop a hint....as big as an anvil....on his toes....!

To anyone I forgot, (((hugs))) .

I got my very first wasp sting yesterday so I'm milking it for all it's worth! Blooming sore! Right on a joint on my little finger which is still tingling. *grumble grumble*

Anyway. Horrible weather outside, all cold and windy. Got some gardening I must to this afternoon, including having a good scrub at the moss that I've been trying to get rid of. Boiling water and bleach worked pretty well, just a bit more elbow grease needed. And I'm off for four days from tomorrow morning :j so I'm looking forward to that.

    Breakfast was weetabix again
lunch is going to be beef broth
dinner will be something from the freezer again (doing a big sainsbury's shop tomorrow)

    have a good day all.

You lot have corrupted me  I've just been to Asda to pick up a few bits (was trying to get some squared paper for DD but couldn't. Will take her out tomorrow to town to a proper stationary shop instead ;) ) and I spotted a Pukka Pad. An Academic Planner Puka Pad. Guess what's sitting infront of me :o Only £1.44 as it's a 2005-2006 Academic year one, but it's still cheaper than the ones I saw in Stationary box so I don't feel to bad:rotfl:Plus I can use it for getting my self organised with money without using the computer all the time. I can always remove the the bits I don't need from it ;)

Also braved the self-scan till  DD loved it so I let her scan everything except the milk and pad while I packed the bags. Then she just had to phone OH and tell him on the way home :rotfl: She's worn out the poor thing so I'm going to let her curl up on the sofa under her quilt and watch Razzledazzle then Sharks tale instead of "school work". Which will give me a chance to have a go at my Pukka pad  Later

what does the holistic therapy course entail? sounds interesting, something i would like to do.
The one I'm planning on doing this year covers Swedish Massage; Aromatherapy; Reflexology; Holistic Counselling; Nutrition; First Aid; Health & Safety and Level 3 Diploma in Anatomy & Physiology.
I'm a bit undecided because the following year I'm planning on doing the HND which recovers a lot of this, but also includes Therapeutic Body Work; Massage; Reiki; Indian Head Massage& Ayurvedic Therapy; Personal & Professional Development; Independent Research; Employment Experience Certificate and Key Skills.
I'd prefer to do that course this year - but it's too awkward with the children.

The NFSH also do courses in Spiritual healing - I've chosen not to do that because ultimately I want to be a midwife - and healers aren't allowed at births by law!!!
    January '06 Grocery Challenge (4th - 31st) £320.
    Week 1 - £73.99 Week 2 £5.10 (so far :p )
Someone burst my bubble and I lost the plot so no idea what I spent now... :(I will try to work it out.
    Other Jan :- Petrol £20.41, Clothes £8.50, House £3.

Aww, Poppy cracker - that's a right pig! If it happens again (hopefully not) I hear that vinegar can ease the sting. Last year we had a wasp nest right outside the bathroom window. Every morning I had to do an 'inspection' as there were at least 10 dead/almost dead wasps between there and the hallway every day!
Nicki - how could you mention the bloomin puka pads again - just as I was starting to overcome the urge.....
Shez - sorry to hear that you and DH are having problems. I'm not much good in this area - as I say mine is now an ex, lol. Hope things pick up for the two of you soon. By the way, I remember hearing that men apparently have 'monthly cycles' too - theirs apparently are mapped out by the moon.....

Ok I've got a dilemma - it's our wedding anniversary tomorrow (27years) and I think DH has forgotten, should I give him a hint tonight or should I just tell him tomorrow and let him grovel? TBH we usually go out for a meal to celebrate but we can't really afford it this month so maybe I should just let it slide.

    Sue

Hi, Snoozer! We share a wedding anniversary - only 16 for me, though.:D

I'd advocate the hint route. We're off camping with a group of friends tomorrow, so I'll be reminding DH to pack the champagne I bought yesterday - he'll remember then.

BTW, I was browsing the abbreviations thread. I'd always thought DH was "Dear Heart", as Ermintrude from Magic Roundabout called everyone :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: Showing my age there!

Shez, I'm about to PM you!

thats sounds really good - but like you said have two young kids so dont think it possible? although they say you shouldnt be negative about things - so maybe i could do it?

if you want to be a midwife - why dont you just do midwifery, why holistic stuff etc - or will that be a sideline, work from home type thing?

why anyone would want to spend all day listening to grown women screaming (where does that extraordinary sound come from during birth??? )
    I'll never know!!:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

but they are worth their weight in gold;) bless em.

Goodnight everybody, I'm off to bed

Thankyou for all your lovely comments about my montage. You should try to do one, they are really quite easy and fun to do. I love him dearly, he is Granny's little boy. :D

Softstuff I don't think it will affect your flights to Aus. On our news it just seems to be the flights between Uk & USA. I could be wrong though.

Snoozer Your'e slipping girl. You should of been dropping hints months ago. Don't get hung up about it. We've been married 27 years this year too in a couple of weeks. Time to get my dress out for a try on. Ne

Nelski Can;t wait to meet you as well, I've never met anyone with blue hair before. :D

Shez (((((hugs))))) Hang in there. There's lots of highs and lows in marriage. Just ride the waves. Some years are better than others. ;)

Well I'll be off. Hope you all have a happy day and hugs to those who need them. Byeeeeeeeeeee
Don't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia. ;)

Not going down the midwife route as being a single mum means I can't do the night shifts - another thing that has to wait until they're grown!
As for doing the course with two children - go for it Shez. Full time is only 3 days - and there are often part time options. There's loads of financial help out there too for some people, including help with childcare costs. Look up your local college and go see the student services people. Even if you don't go ahead this year, you can be armed with all the info ready for next year - and it'll give you something to look forward to!
