Shez - I had looked for the one that went with the 'change your life in 7 days' (or something like that) but couldn't find it, so listened to the 'overcome emotional eating'. They all tend to make you feel quite good about yourself - and that's what I was needing. He's worth his weight in gold that one. I wish I could afford to have sessions with him - between him and Martin I'm sure they could set me straight!January '06 Grocery Challenge (4th - 31st) £320.Week 1 - £73.99 Week 2 £5.10 (so far)
Someone burst my bubble and I lost the plot so no idea what I spent now...Other Jan :- Petrol £20.41, Clothes £8.50, House £3.I will try to work it out.

When we got to the hospice they had baked him a cake with candles and the staff had all signed a birthday card for him.
We gave him his presents and cards and I think he enjoyed the visit but he is getting very tired and frail. he is also getting a bit confused because the medication is getting stronger so may need to think of stopping younger DDs running ahead of us when we visit so that we can assess his condition first.
Having a quiet morning - sold a book to Sweden and need to go and post it. May go to outlet centre later and look for bag and shoes for wedding."This site is addictive!"

I used to try and use the comp notepad - but the sore wrist has put an end to that.
Softstuff - love the avatar, tis very cute
Bargain Rzl - I hope it all goes to plan for you. I admire how practical you're being - I'm far too impulsive and allways want everything yesterday.
Well, best get back to making these quiches - not sure whether to bake blind or not as the thread I found advocated both. I'm making wholemeal shortcrust with butter as I've no lard. Any tips/suggestions? Who would bake blind and who would just bung it all in?

Lol, you've got a point there! I have the slimming cd (tip to anyone considering buying - I believe the cd in the book is the same as that which you buy seperate, so just buy the book) and made the mistake of buying the 'set' from QVC. I had meant to send it back, but never got 'round to it
Back to these bloomin quiches (who is it that keeps making them and therefore planted the bright idea in my brain) I don't even know how much cheese/egg/milk to put in!!!!January '06 Grocery Challenge (4th - 31st) £320.Week 1 - £73.99 Week 2 £5.10 (so far)

Hi, Kaz. I vote for blind. When I put the pastry in the case, I let it droop over the sides (don't cut it off). When it's cooked, this extra pastry breaks off easily, and the pastry doen't slump in the tin. The bits are nice dipped in jam! I then brush the bottom with egg yolk to reduce the sogginess of my bottom. My bottom needs all the help it can get! :rotfl: :rotfl:
BTW Kaz, I've noticed that if you "quote" to reply, you get all the recent replies below your reply window. You can, of course, delete all the "quote" stuff, if you don't actually want it.
Hello and welcome, Softstuff and Queen Bess!
Goodnight, Aussie!

Zed, hope your daughter's ear is better soon.

I was going to use rice to bake blind shez - but I think any dried beans does the trick?
Sorry - also meant to say earlier ...
