Hi all,
Hope you all had good weekends, back at work but feeling brighter than over the last two days.
Aussielass, what are maggot bags? They don't sound very appetising
Ageandjo, Kiwichick and Tra, thanks for the smiles (daren't laugh out loud at work).
Snowy et al, I'm going to join the fly lady challenge, but only for one room - DD's bedroom. Since she left home it's become a bit of a dumping ground  . Not only that but the wardrobe is full of clothes she doesn't want in London and the rest of the room has other stuff she doesn't want "cluttering her flat". Got MIL and SIL coming down in a couple of weeks so I want to make it presentable for then.0 -
Morning all,
A slow start in the moggins household this morning due to XDH coming round with a crate of beers for DH's birthday. They both sat and watched Jackass the movie, got slowly drunk and laughed like drains. So I polished off the wine I had bought to go with tea instead.
A quick tidy up on the horizon today, DD1 is coming round and I have to sort out the schedule for tomorrow and Birmingham
Thanks for the laugh all of you, all my postie normally gets is a kiss on my birthdayOrganised people are just too lazy to look for things

I was wondering about the maggot bags, too! Just didn't like to ask!
Snoozer: your DD sounds like our DS1. I finally managed to get some space in his room a couple of weeks ago. Every time I had asked him if he wanted the stuff he had left behind - including loads of clothes he had hardly worn, if at all - he said he wanted all of it kept. I got him to sort through it once, & he turfed out a couple of bits, but said he wanted to keep most of it, including an elderly portable TV. Anyway, a couple of weeks ago I was trying to clear space for DD & family to stay, so I asked him again. This time he said "get rid of the lot!!!!!!" Wow! I now have a spare room, and DS2 has loads & loads of almost brand new clothes! And that TV has gone altogether! (You can guess that I didn't leave him enough time to change his mind before sorting it all out!) He will probably have a shock when he finds his brother wearing an almost new denim jacket, I suspect he forgot what he had left in there! But he did have the opportunity to check what he was giving away!0 -

Oh dear
Just read through the rest of yesterdays thread and it looks like I put my foot in it again
I am sorry if I made it appear cliquey (that was the last thing I intended) I just felt that people should be allowed to post about the weather and not be told to look at the glass half full! I certainly don't feel that it's cliquey here, all new comers are just friends in the making. Everyone brings something with them and I still learn something new everyday.
And Nelski - who on earth could manage to ignore you??Organised people are just too lazy to look for things

I have been trying very hard to post the pic but tinypic seems to be down.
will try shortly. It's not a house yet PenPen. I wish. It's the foundations of our house. We are building it ourselves. Very resourceful lot us Aussies.
Aussie Slang Lesson No 2 # Maggot bags = Meat Pies
It's a really cold night here again. I just read yesterday's thread before. Sorry to hear some of you are feeling a bit unwelcome.Hang in there and keep posting. I usually talk to myself most times
Usually I'm nearly heading off to bed or everyone else is zzzzzzzzz. Anyway will try this piccy again.
Don't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia.0
