Just wanted to say a big thank you to all those who wished me congratulations on passing the exam - it was really appreciated and you've all made me feel a little bit special :A
I still have a few years to go to become qualified and I'm finding the subject a lot, lot, lot harder than I ever expected so every little exam I pass is so important to me.
Also, the carrot cake and coconut biscuits went down a storm which I'm thrilled to bits about as it's the first time I've successfully made either!!! :T0 -
Hi livinginhope,
Glad you're feeling better. Yes Radley bags are the ones with the scotty dogs. I have one from when I left a job a few years ago but as it's a briefcase thing I very rarely get to use it.0 -
catowen wrote:Ive just had to google Radley bags, as i didnt know what they were - very expensive, but i would LOVE one!!! The dog tag is great, i thought it was going to be a cuddly one or something (i know, i dont get out much!!!)
catowen, have to confess it's only in the last year or two that I've known Radley, only 'cos a friend raved about them!!
DIL usually has cheap bags, but spent her birthday money from her Dad on one, and was pleased as punch when I recognised the tag! Only a few days later they turned up with mine!! She's a lovely girl, I'm so lucky, I still say I (and my son!!) couldn't have done better if I'd handpicked her myself!:D
Maybe I don't get out enough too!!:rotfl:
Oh and I keep forgetting until I've posted, WELL DONE to Ruby Pudding, we're all proud of you!!:T :T
PS If I may bask in reflected glory I have a friend who has a *gasp* MULBERRY bag, yeah only a couple or so hundred pounds!!!! ( Her daughter lives near the factory outlet or something!!)You never get a second chance to make a first impression.0 -

Woo hoo!!! ta Queenie!!! Was talking to boyf earlier and this year has been such an achievement for me so far. Made a decision that this year was going to be different and it has, sooooooo different. Everything is so much more positive!:D
Lasagne was lovely, but the sauce ended up really quite thick, almost spongy(kinda)and what I was really expecting was a thinner saucier (:p) sauce. Any ideas anyone?????

Personally I just keep adding milk till I get the consitency (sp) that I want, we also like the white sauce a little on the runny side. We havent had Lasagne for ages - will make one this week I think.
Back from holidays so havnt caught up on the thread yet, got back late last night and today been busy doing washing (only halfway thro) tidying up garden and popping out to pick up some food as had nothing in the house. Had a nice relaxing holiday so am raring to go now. Kids I think will be happy doing nothing for the next couple days so hopefully will catch up with the housework and paperwork and get all the washing done. Then will start thinking about days out. Definately want to go to Paradise Park in the very near future. Also want to see the new Jack Black film.
Hope everthing is going OK for everyone and that you are surviving the summer holidays ok. I understand the weather hasnt been great recently but it was over 40 where we were and it was nice to come back to a bit of freshness but saying that it was quite muggy today.
Well best be off now as want to get up early in the morning. Take care and enjoy the last little bit of the weekend.0 -
I couldn't post earlier as the pc was playing up again! Bit late now, so I'll just say a quick "hello and goodnight" to you all and "Welcome" to the newbies!
I've got a Radley bag too - I try to keep it for best!0 -

Hope you all have a great day. When I have more time will post a piccy of the footings. (yawn)
By the time we'll be finished you'll all be bored to tears. Talk later. Byeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
