It becomes 'natural' to those undergoing chemo.

Would never have known you could replace a lost one! Mine, at the moment because it's all new and shiny, lives in its drawstring bag between uses. Maybe OTT but it's the only one I have and I'm determined to keep it nice!!:D :o

I have had one or two expensive bags before, but nothing this recognisable. DH keeps saying "shouldn't you take that little dog off. Isn't it a bit childish, superfluous?" Yeah in your dreams matey!:rotfl:

:D:D Well I am back and survived to tell the tale.................one of OH's bowling pals introduced me to various people, but once they started to play they all wandered off onto the green. I started to sew, was studiously ingored until one of the tea ladies came out and asked me what I was doing, I showed her and explained, she disappeared and then another couple of ladies came out, we talked for a while about quilting, sewing etc........I mentioned that I was on the lookout for smallish buttons and one lady offered to go through her button box for me..............:T :T

After tea the bowls resumed I had finished my CC so watched the games for a while, a bit like watching paint dry.......read a bit......once the games were over there was a presentation and then the raffle, I won a box of Thorntons choccys............scrummy........and then we came home.....OH informed me that I would have to present the bouquets to the presidents lady and the County presidents lady next year....then it would be my turn to get the bouquet...:j :j :j

So not too bad a day really, went much as I expected, but I guess if I went more I would get to know a few more people....but then I would loose 'my time' when oh is playing and I play with my sewing machines!!!!!!! To be honest it bores me to tears but DH loves playing so I just shut up and put up.

Queenie; I am after some sort of shinyish fabric for embroidered Christmas cards, I might see if I can find a source of satin acetate and use the back to embroider on, either cream or white. If I can find it I will PM you with an attachement photo of the card I did for my daughters silver wedding, it was done on some fabric I had left from her dress, would put it on here for you all too see but do not know how to do it. Cannot claim to be a computer virgin!!!! but some things need to be explained in words of one syllbul or I just do not get it. Told you it was the blind leading the blind, me trying to teach someone to use the comuter, you thought I was joking didn't you, well I wasn't...................

Thanks for all the good wishes, I appreciate them very much. Now off to mark out another cushion cover. 3 down 7 to go!!!!!
