Hi everyone, and hope you all have a good day.

:T Congratulations Ruby on passing your exam :T I have OU exams in October and need to get in revision mode soon:eek:.

Plans for the day, finish decluttering which I started yesterday, do some filing and shredding and a bit of correspondence. Later i need to work out a menu plan for the week and do a little top up shop at asda. Hopefully won't need much.
OH is working tonight and sleeping today so need to keep quiet until he gets up around 2pm.We live in a flat and our bedroom joins the kitchen and has paperthin walls so mixer, blender, BM etc off limits this morning:mad: Its really frustrating when there is stuff i could be doing.

    Good morning all

Yes, I know it's afternoon. Its so heavy and stick y up here, I just don't feel like doing anything! It's actually cooler in the house.

Must put the washing machine on today. OH was complaining yesterday that all his jeans were in the washing pile....he does know how to work the WM, just doesn't like to admit it!

I've just come in from doing all my rounds and all my old dears are fine, just a few wilting in the heat.

twink - wish I had a plum tree, I love plums!!

cat - hope you have a good time at the car boot sale.

starlona - hope all goes well with selling your house

moggins - HAPPY BIRTHDAY Mr Moggins.... and congrats to your DD.

tootles - Good luck this afternoon. I am very shy as well so I know how hard it is making small talk. With this job, I've got a lot of elderly people to talk to and it was hard at first, but if you can think of one thing to talk about, tangents usually happen!

snoozer - Do what YOU feel like doing and stuff everyone else!

Ruby Pudding - WELL DONE on passing your exam!!!! OOh, I love carrot cake, can I have some?? :)

    scuzz
    - elderberry jelly? Sounds lovely. You'll have to post how it went and how it tasted!

Michelle - Have fun with the new car!

elona - hope you enjoyed your little picnic. Impromtu things are a lot more fun!

    Pen-Pen - welcome back

Queenie - Eggcited??? Oh dear! :rotfl: heres to many more eggies!

    breakfast - yoghurt
lunch - weetabix and soya milk (which is not as yucky as I thought it would be)
dinner - salsa prawns in tortillas.... yummmmm
DFW Nerd no 239.....Last Personal Debt paid off Nov 2012!
Donated 50 pints so far.... gold badge got 17/11/13! Blood Group O+

Right, I have girded my loins, jsut had lunch, salmon, salad and our own new spuds and a couple of glasses of rose...........packed my bag with camera, book and an unfinished quilted cushion to tackle. A lot of the problem is that people seem to think I am very outgoing, which really is a mask for chronic shyness, it takes me ages to form a 'relationship' with people, I try hard ........ may be too hard?????I find that the quilting can help to break down the barriers, but then on the other hand people who see me quilting can steer clear.......not easy................perhaps I should have been an actress???????????????? I only have one real friend.............the rest are shifting acquaintenances or friends of my husbands not real friends............it worries me slightly as to what will happen when my OH shiufles off this mortal coil, he is 10 years older than me.... but i will meet that when it happens.

    Right, see you all later..............

Just go with an open mind - don't expect the worst to happen, in fact don't have any expectations at all about the afternoon. That way, even if you only strike up a conversation with just one person it will be a bonus and something to build on for next time.

Heheheh - while the pun may be hackneyed ... my reactions were spontaneous and my poor neighbours must have thought I'd finally cracked when I was soooooo delighted I was straight onto the phone to my friend repeatedly stating "I've got an egg! I've got an EGG! :j :j :j OMG! I've got two - TWO!!!!" :j :j

Nice to see the thread so jovial today.

Welcome back pen pen - hope you aren't too jet lagged. :o (11 1/2 weeks to go for me)

Nice to see you back jo - must have been a month or more since you last posted.

Queenie - thanks for the giggle. DH is banned from going anywhere near my ironing- one thing is his constant mucky finger nails, but he also has the astonishing ability to crease things when he looks at them. Sounds like your quails are growing up well. Hopefully you'll see a lot more eggs now.

Tootles - also sending hugs your way.

Finished my packing for the hols for me. I just need to know what bits DH needs, which he can get out for me when he gets back from work. Then i am going to sort out a couple of books to read, and continue to relax.

It's warm but dull here, so i am just going to go with the flow for the rest of the day.

    Michelle,xx
