Feeling quite excitable today.... Got offered (and accepted) a different job in the place I work at on Thursday during the interview. Walked out feeling oddly unexcited but as the time has gone on I'm getting more unbearable about it! No idea if I get a raise or not but I know I won't drop salary. Even so thje experience will be invalable so I see any salary increase as bonus. Should know on Monday-ish about any pay increase as they needed to check for me with someone who was on holiday last week.
Today I've been shopping. Got some really good bargains:
Soft leather, tann handbag and a shimmery sari type shawl - £4 from charity shop
Various huge amounts of fruit and veg - £7-ish - bonus is that DS has already munched 2 peaches and 2 plums. Without me even trying to persuade him!
2 Lavender plants to replace the two of OH's that I killed -opps - £2 the pair
Half Shoulder of lamb and some (I think) lamb ribs - £3
Do feel like I've had some bargains today. There's a lot to be said for your local market :T :TApril 2021 Grocery Challenge 34.29 / 2500 -
Afternoon everyone:j :j
Its going to be well quiet round here without Ticklemouse and Penny Pincher - hope you both have a well deserved break (and TM I expect you to return with a least 6 new business contacts:D )
purpleprincess - those hours sound awfully long hun hope you are taking care of yourself with all this extra work
Ajax - have a lovely honeymoon although i think that goes without saying (:rotfl: :rotfl: @moggins and her cranberry tablet suggestion , whatever can she mean:D )
Welcome to sophiesmum:hello:
Kaz - your DS2 seems very young for some many late nights could you not limit it to weekends and maybe one weekday?
Mrs MH - Hope you get the job - is it PA to a certain beloved pop star by any chance?
Aril and taplady - sorry to hear about your OHs sounds like you are both needed for some tlc this weekend
Shortie -well done on the new job hope its a really big pay rise for you!!
Well this weekend is w**k for me but at least its from home. I have 150 workbooks to produce for courses starting next week with a new client. I was really pleased to get the content passed particularly as I had left the logo of their major competitor who I worked with last year on the front page:eek:   - Imust get better at proof reading (or as I just accidently typed !!!!!! reading:rotfl: )
I did do some w**k avoidance techniques this morning by deciding to walk to my local M+S (bout half an hour walk) to take back a top I had only worn once, had cost 29.50 and was coming apart at the seam:mad: Must admit all credit to M+S I had no reciept so she quesioned me intently about when I had bought it (which I knew exactly because I bought it for my Turkey holiday in June) and gave me the full amount despite the fact that it had gone down to £9 in the sale:eek: So I am back to being disciplined with receipts now with a little A5 zip wallet especially for the job!
Bought a couple of new blouses with my credit note (and a bit extra:o) but tbh they are needed as I have been on a nice long work break and have been slobbin in shorts and cut offs for 2 months now:D Back to the grind stone proper now with 3 weeks work in Scotland with only 2 days off which will probably be office days too.
Right best go - have made a gorgeous feta cheese salad for tea (well threw all the bits in a bowl with some balsamic vinegar dressing:rotfl: ) so wil have that with a seafood pizza and some vino no doubt:j
God that was a long waffle - sorry:o
Have a great weekend all

Hi,
Catowen, Yes the poodle is ours (a she not a he by the way). officially she belongs to dd but lives with us while dd is in London.
Real OS story as to how we got her - we wanted anew puppy, dh and ds wanted a cocker spaniel, dd wanted a poodle, I was impartial and said that we would get the first we spotted (thinking it would be the spaniel) two days later dd anounces that she had put an ad on a dog website and had a reply from someone who had a 9month old apricot poodle their mother could no longer cope with and dd could have it for free. We took them up on the offer and she is a real darling, both ds and dh dote on her as well.
Shortie, well done on the new post.
Taplady, sorry about OH's back.
Well I started my list this morning and was getting on well but then got a migraine and had to go to bed for a few hours, still feel fragile and dh is making dinner (pak choi stir fry beef).

Goodness, its quiet around here at the moment!!!!
Well, after a busy day yesterday (unfortunatly spending lots of money:eek: ) we are going to have a quieter one today. Ive just got to get dressed, and then we are going to a car boot sale, then i thought i would take my two to the big park in Plymouth for a few hours, mind you, it does look like its going to rain, so plans might change!!!
Yesterday i bought myself a lovely new computer chair, a desk for DS and new bedding for DD, so we are all happy at the moment!!!
Right, will be back later,
Hope everyone has a lovely day
Take care xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx0 -
Morning Cat Owen, Morning Twink:hello:
I've been hanging around on here, but didn't want to start in case I cross posted with someone.
I got up at 7:30 and have cleaned the lounge, done the washing up, and am waiting til boyf gets up to vac up.
Our house is up for sale at ther moment, so we're keeping it really tidy for viewings - surprising how much easier it is to tidy/clean when most of it's already done :rolleyes:Comping Challenge
