  • Morning Guys!

Had a bad night and didnt get much sleep.

Nearly everything packed for our holiday today and will be leaving about 10am:D Im hoping it will all fit in the car, but have taken our own quilts and pillows as I hate the ones they normally give you. Its only 2hrs away, so wont need to make a full packed lunch, just a roll each will suffice.

Am taking the DLA forms with me as OH still needs to fill in a certain section. I have got all stuff printed from the web, vouchers and directions for local things, so hopefully I havent forgotten anything:confused: ...probably have though:rolleyes:

Also taking my course to do some reading for my last essay due August as I cant have an extension on this one:eek:

Anyway, I have to go and make sure I have done this and that whilst the other 2 are still in their pits....might just make a cup of tea!

Gonna miss you guys this weeks and will try to connect if I can, but no promises!

Luv Ya and hugs to all.

    PP

Purple princess - how on earth do you find the energy to do so many shifts? I hope you managed to get some good quality kip before ging to your next shift.
hello Sophiesmum - hope the decluttering goes well for you. Wish I could swop with your daughter for the day. Nothing makes me happier than working around horses - I'd sooner muck out a straw stable than hoover my house any day, lol
Penny pincher - hope you have a fantastic holiday. You are amazingly organised, my mind boggles when I read just how much you sort every day!
Kelinik - hope your sisters move goes well today and that you have a good housewarming session to celebrate ;)
Tra - hopefully your little man will need a nap in the afternoon so you can get a bit of rest.

Well, we finally got the ton of sand onto the lawn last night. Unfortunately it couldn't be delivered very close to the area needed so we had to transport it in buckets, lugging it up and down steps :rotfl: It was such a good workout that by the end I didn't need to water my plants - just stood over them and dripped - IYKWIM :o
I'm getting a bit worried about DS2 and this band thing. Firstly it's the late nights involved that concern me. Last night for example he wasn't home until gone 12, and they've told him that they've another gig tonight - so that is going to mean another late night. It's not so bad at the moment because they're on school hols - but it's much the same in term time.
The other option of course is for me to take him to the gig and bring him home as soon as they've played - but in all honesty I can't afford to go. I simply can't afford the cost of drinks in these places let alone tidy clothes for 'going out'. What do you think? Am I overreacting about the late nights? I don't want to be overprotective, but I'm sure it's not good. I'd be gratefull for any feedback and opinions on this....
    Hugs to all

Crossed with you Kaz, and I bet I began typing long before!

Know what you mean about DS2, you want to encourage but the late nights do build up. How old is he? And will they only be Fri/Sat nights? I never worried too much about them, it was late nights midweek or Sunday that worried me. Having said that would he be in bed asleep any earlier without the gigs? Does his schoolwork suffer? It's your job as mum to worry and be overprotective:D No it's hard and I'm not helping, but there will be wise words from others I'm sure!! Have a good day!
