    Back again

When I had low iron I started eating black pudding regularly - I know not everyone can stomach it but luckily I love it. Also some guiness or stout everynow and then. Apparantly balti curries are good also as they absorb some of the iron from the pot!

Oh bought me some Guiness and I am enjoying a tipple of that most evenings, I wonder how much good it actually does?

    Black Pudding - smashing!

We must not, in trying to think about how we can make a big difference, ignore the small daily differences we can make which, over time, add up to big differences that we often cannot foresee.

    Hi all,

Slightly late for work this morning as I ran round the house making sure everything was spick and span for MIL arriving this afternoon.

Just haven't had time to iron OH's shirts though _ I hope she doesn't do them because it makes me feel guilty (I'm sure that's why she does it)

Queenie, I wish I had your energy, I thought i was busy on Monday and I was exhausted yesterday but you put me to shame.

Smashing Blouse, glad your results were OK.

Elona - some years seem to be like that don't they, you'll be glad to see the back of 2006 at New Years.

Moggins and family have a great day at Cadburys.

Miss London, good to hear from you, I hope you'll keep popping up from time to time to let us know how you are.

Cats I think the shop you are referring to is Trago Mills.....wonderful place, I spent a fortune in there last time we were in Cornwall......

:T Thank you tootles! that's the place and yes it is easy to spend a fortune, I loved the cross stitch kits, so cheap and I bought some lovely fabric remnants last time I was there.

Catowen - dd is much better now thank you, still having a bit of trouble sleeping but has found rescue remedy and a large mug of hot choc helps!
The building work is a patio and driveway (lived here over 20 years and only just getting around to doing it) is coming along and hopefully it and the bathroom renovations will all be finished by the time we get back from Cornwall.

Thinking of visiting the Eden project next week if it isn't too expensive and would also love to see the lost gardens of Heligan.

Morning :D ... Good news is that the mortgage offer is in ... Other good news is that I'm £171.06 richer, having just closed my ISA so as to make the funds available for my deposit and moving costs, and therefore having had my closing interest payment ... Bad news is that the HA's solicitor might as well be asleep, for all the effort she's making ... I'm becoming quite good at making up euphemisms for the phrase "Is there anything I can do to give them a kick up the jacksie" so the wording is appropriate to be emailed to my solicitor :D ... I was in the office until gone 6:30 yesterday evening getting a report finished ... I have fallen off the OS wagon big time ... I've had takeaway lunches two days in a row ... I haven't done any laundry for over a week :o ... This CANNOT continue as I'm now reduced to wearing the clothes that I don't even like and am intending to send to a charity shop :o ... Anyway, am rambling ... ((((HUGS)))) to anybody in need of them ... I've got to get on with my work, and will try to write something coherent later! :o ... Rzl xx

Haven't been able to catch up with everyone as my modem keeps going off and it is driving me:mad: and also making me unreasonably snappy with my lovely children:D . I'm having to write long replies in Word first:rolleyes:

Have spent this week soaking and cooking my large collection of dried beans. They are nearly all bagged up in portions in the freezer now. Am planning a big soup with beans, dried peas, barley and veg in for tonight and tomorrow night as we will be all eating at different times. I don't usually serve the same meal 2 nights running but I thought 'why not?' - it's good and cheap, we'll eat it !

scuzz - the "Love in a Box" sounds wonderful!! Is that the fill a shoe box idea? Aside from the stationery, what will you put in it? Hope you get the nap you want/need. :):):)

Yes it's one where you pack a shoe box with presents. Leaving it open for everyone to contribute what they want. Hoping everyone will take part. There's around 10 in the office so if we all chip in, it will be really cost effective
