Gamer2006, assuming you did not intend that post to be spam, it is still in breach of the site rules as you are not allowed to post codes etc. except on the codes and vouchers board. Perhaps if you posted it here in good faith, you should try it over on the codes board instead (and be a bit more specific about what sort of site it is, otherwise everybody over there will assume it's spam as well) :)HTH

Hello everybody,
Sounds like a mixed bag for most of you. I've had a tiring day. DH interview instead of being 1 hr took 2 1/2 hrs. My bottom was getting quite numb sitting it the car. I would have got out but it was raining. Lucky I had my new cook book to read.Didn't get as much done as we planned. Went for groceries afterwards at Aldi's. Plans tonight to have an early night and do half as much as Queenie tomorrow.
Bgn Rzl My washing pile isn't quite as bad as yours but it's up there. Hopefully it will be sunny tomorrow. Hope you get on top of things in the OS dept.
MS London I forgot you were over here atm. $25 an hr for temp is good. I hope you are enjoying yourself. How long are you here for?
Dumpy Welcome to OS.
Snowy My TWG should turn up in the next day or so. Two of DDs books arrived today. Hope it gets here by the weekend. We can read it together.
Jocketuk Congratulations on your pukka pad.I suppose it's the pretty pink one too.
Moggins How was the Cadbury outing? That would be DH dream. Whereabouts is it?
Well I'm off for a shower and zzzzzzzzzzzzzzz. Have a great day and hope your day isn't too sad Elona. This thread is getting big isn't it. I have a shocking memory. (((((hugs))))) to those I missed.Don't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia.0 -
Morning All!!!
Only ten minutes to go until it isn't morning actually. Glanced at the PC this morning before I left home and considered jumping on to say hello so that it wouldn't be 3 pages but decided against it.
Well, in-laws are here, have had the last few days off which was nice but exhausting. We had a bbq for DS's birthday on Monday, was amusing to see DH barbecuing under the brolly in the hailstones!!!
Was weird this year DS got mainly adult pressies, he only really got one toy, the rest was MP3, 360 games and gadgets, watch and books. my little boy is definitely growing up.
Work today but quiet as boss is off.
Dinner tonight is chicken & mushroom casserole. Will need to spend rest of evening doing load of Lightspeed surveys I have and the house needs a bit of a swish.
Right must go to look for plum and apple recipes, kids have picked loads from mums garden. Apple and cinamon muffins definitely!!
Welcome to Dumpy!! Hugs to all others in need.
Have a lovely day!!

Afternoon everyone:hello:
Had a bit of a disasterous day yesterday, couldn't go out as couldn't find my house keys:rolleyes: Looked absoutly everywhere, gave up in the end, where did they turn up? In Hubbys car:doh:
So having a catch up day today, been out to butchers (24 organic chicken legs for £2:D) & other local shops, Spud spent ages in the pet shop staring at the fish, think they thought we were squatters:rotfl:Got a HUGE chicken chasseur going in the slow cooker for tonight;)
Got the new neighbours comming round for drinks tonight, been racking my brains for what nibbles to serve:think:, finally hit on it : savoury versions of the fab Everyday biscuits:D I made them last year for Fathers day (my dad is allergic to sugar & they were a big hit) so have the dough chilling in the fridge at the mo. If anyone is interested, use wholemeal flour instead of plain & replace the sugar with grated chedder, give a good grind of pepper instead of vanilla. To tart them up you can use blue cheese, chopped red peppers or a slice of a olive in the middle & sprinkle dried herbs on top:D New neighbours are city career types so probably unlikely to be impressed but between the freshly made bsicuits, chicken chasseur smell wafting through & a HM loaf in the BM maybe I can convert them;) Must hide my knitting though, I am kinitting a 5 colour stripey scarf for my dad's birthday & it is starting to take on Dr Who proportions...they might think I am a bit strange!:rotfl:
Must go & have a flylady hour around the house, by then hopefully the sloes will have defrosted for me to make some Sloe Gin:snow_laug
Have a good day everyone:wave:Post Natal Depression is the worst part of giving birth:p
In England we have Mothering Sunday & Father Christmas, Mothers day & Santa Clause are American merchandising tricks:mad: Demonstrate pride in your heirtage by getting it right please people!0 -
Just to let you know that I have emerged safe and sound from the kids bedroom:eek:
The room has had a thorough top to bottom back to front:p .
Now the rest of the house looks awful, so methinks a little go at another room thoroughly tomorrow and so on till all rooms are done:o . That should keep me out of mischief till around Sunday lunchtime:rotfl:
Those savoury versions of the everyday biscuits sound lovely lillibet:drool: , might give that a go myself later today.
Right onwards and upwards.:j  A:coffee: first though............0 -
Hi All
Well I had planned to do so much whilst I was off on hol but my motivation seems to have disappeared.
I have just posted a thread on the insurance board for advice for my Dad. His car was damaged 12 weeks ago on a pub car park, the person admitted liability and it has been going through their insurance company. The damage was to the bonnet and my Dad has been driving it around but getting more and more stressed as his car is his pride and joy and as pensioners it is their lifeline. The insurance company have now finally got back to my Dad and have said in their letter that the car has been classed as class A scrap and therefor must be crushed. This has come completely out of the blue and my parents are very upset. I don't know how to help them. They are so upset as all this was caused by the carelessness of one person.
