    Good morning all!!
Shortest of posts from me, I'm like foreverskint for typing!!!

Just half a ton of assorted veggies to prepare for my old ladies, all 36 of them!! Roast tatties, carrot batons, cauliflower and mashed swede today!! Should knock that off in no time:rotfl: :rotfl:

It's a beautiful day today, shame I could have processed loads of laundry and even tidied the garden a bit!! I'll have to content myself with one load before and one after the lunchclub!!:D

Well must make tracks, hope you have good days!!

    CMxx

  • Hello, again!

At w*** now. Had to go and check the minutes of last week's staff meeting (which I missed) and guess what - they're in a Pukka Pad. An "easy riter"; yes that's how it's spelt. Don't think I can hold out as Pukka Pad-less much longer. As soon as DD sees them, that will be it! She's more into stationery than me.

The lemon curd was scrummy! Will post recipe later.

Anyone seen broken wings recently? She's usually another lark.

Queenie, as you ask I now have a lovely big pile of clean, comfy M&S knickers, and the lacy ones are back where they belong, at the back of my drawers!

Now, how many for a cup of tea? Kettle's on.

    Penny. x

Have just got some butter out of the fridge for a spell of afternoon baking, I feel a banana bread coming on, and have just put the BM on for lunchtime bread.

Someone kick my backside now please, I have a room to do.......:o

Hello, I've dropped in on a few threads but never done a post on this one, hope you don't mind me joining in?

At w*** all today but the boss is away so it's going to be a nice day.

HM cakes and sandwiches for lunch with HM bread.

Ageandjo I can completely sympathise, livery yards can be a nightmare can't they.

Oh and I'm holding you all responsible for the fact that I now own microfibre clothes and a bottle of stardrops and a bottle of starclene. I can't stop cleaning either which is most odd as my house is normally what could be described as freshly burgled. OH thinks I'm cracking up.....

Had a very productive day yesterday and feel rather proud of my achievements.
Despite a bit of rain first thing, I went ahead with 3 washloads and successfully line dried them all before the deluge at teatime.
I'd left the slow cooker on during the night making a chicken stock, so while one wash load was on, I reduced it all down for manageable portions for the freezer.
While that was reducing, put a loaf into the BM and while that was doing it's own thing, hoovered and polished downstairs. Stopping half way through to cool the stock.
One wash load hung out, another in.
Decanted stock into containers; one for fridge, 2 for freezer.
Had a break and flicked through a magazine, saw a recipe for icecream which would use up the double cream I'd bought on the reduced aisle. Adapted it for the ingredients I had, and whizzed up a batch of Summer Fruits Ice Cream in the FP then made a batch of HM yogurt.
Second wash load hung out, third and final load in.
Took all the outstanding paperwork off my desk, sat down with a coffee and the shredder and whizz, whizz, whizz.
Booted up the computer, ran virusscan and defrag. Put all the shredded paper, hoover contents into the composter, gave it a stir. Third and final wash load out. Cleaned and relocated the quails into the new shed. Then did some online banking and bill paying.
Put on a bolognaise sauce to cook slowly on the hob.
    Second loaf into BM.
    Took a break.
    Made some jam crumblies.
Made a couple of phone calls
Made 2nd batch of jam crumblies, this time using up a jar of mincemeat.
Brought in, folded and sorted laundry for ironing later today.
    Remade bed with fresh linen.
Had a quick shower, wiped over bathroom.
Everyone home and time to sit down to pasta with bolognaise sauce, hm bread to mop it all up, and crumblies to finish.
It's great when a day all fits together like that

Today's plans are less busy, busy.
Going through all the uniforms for both lads, checking labels/nametags, packing their gym bags, double checking final forms/paperwork.
    Plenty of ironing to do.

I've got some butter wrappers in the fridge that I'd saved for greasing baking tins, they need using and as they are the perfect size for lining the BM when making cakes, I want to get a couple of cakes done while we get on with the other stuff.

Once again Queenie is an insparation :A ! Thanks Hun you've made me get off my back-sided :D

    Mornig peeps *sniff*

I knew I shouldn't have read all those posts yesterday - I've caught someone's cold!! Most unlike me but I started sneezing yesterday afternoon which I put down to dust due to the industriall amounts of laundry done, but by last night, I collapsed into bed having had some hot choccy (Green and Blacks with added Cointreau ..... medicinal, of course) with runny nose, streaming eyes, headache and a major sneezing attack. So, I'm resorting to ibuprofen with my porridge and tea cos I have too much to do today to be slowed down with a cold.

It's a sort of grey day with bits if blue trying to sneak in. Want to change the boys beds but I have spare bedding for them so I don't need to rush round and wash/dry it. Will be puttng their thicker duvets back on. Put ours on last night and it was lovely.

Have no idea what's for tea. Have some chicken which needs usng up so may put a chicken casserole in the SC. Will also be doing the weekly major clean of mum's house later (I try to do it on 1 day a week so the rest of the time I can just be there for her/visit/take her out etc) I'll take the boys so they can see her.

Talking of the boys, there's no fighting (yet :D) They are playing nicely together on DS1's scalectrix - whoopee :D:D Mr TM is still in the land of nod - hard work all that cobweb removing from yesterday. :rotfl:

Ok, I'm off for a surf then shower, dressed and out (after putting SC on of course)

I'd hug everyone but i don't want to pass on my cold:p

    See ya later

Can I just squeeze in here to say Good Morning all?

Welcome to the daily thread Dumpy :hello:

Hugs to those of you having stressful times and hugs to those of you having a good time just now (It might rub off onto me icon7.gif)

Well so far this morning I've been for my power walk, fed the water critters. re-homed the spiders  and have a 2nd wash load on, the first is on the dryer.

Next I want to head for the garden centre to pick up a rubber bucket pot thing to house the new water plants I got at the weekend market. Also need to head for Lidls as my local one has 1/2 price fruit and veg at the moment. Have a hairdressers appointment too so can sit back and relax for a few hours. Have you guessed yet that I'm enjoying a few days off w**k? Bliss :D

Breakfast: Musli and soya milk - that new low suger one is lovely!
    Lunch, oatcakes and something
Dinner: Steamed veg and grilled chicken

    Bye for now :A
My first reply was witty and intellectual but I lost it so you got this one instead :D
