    Good morning everyone:hello:

I wish I could write individual hellos to all, but I would be here all day, my typing is a bit tongueinthecornerofmouthonefinger if you know what I mean:rotfl:

I am planning to gut the childrens room today, as it looks as if it hasn't been tidied in weeks :o and to get to the wardrobe is akin to an assault course.

It's chicken with cheese and bacon tonight for dinner.

Hopefully I might even get around to some ironing later.

    Hugs

    Morning all

We're back from our weekend jaunt which was lovely. Longleat was great, got a go on everything and saw all the animals - didn't help that some muppet reversed into us whilst we were in the lion enclosure though - no serious damage done though thank god. Yesterday we went to legoland - got drenched on all the rides and with all the showers but it was a great day and DD's were so well behaved it was a pleasure to take them out. Got stuck on the M25 for 3 hours on the way home which wasn't so much fun but hey ho.

Need to unpack the car and get the washing sorted in a bit, the fridge is bare so need to do a shop and I must get the lawns cut, front and back before the builder starts our extension on Monday!!!!! DH is going to clean the car inside and out (he doesn't know it yet).

m-i-l gave me some lakeland mould spray, said it should work on the silcon sealant round the bath - anyone used it before????

Hope you all have a great day.

  • Morning all :D

FrugalJo - Put down the cloth and back away from the stardrops did you not read my horror story that I'm still cleaning now 4 days later!

I was due to go home last night and carry on with the cleaning but decided sitting down with a glass of wine would be far more productive

Anyway - nothing planned for today really, but after w**k going start again on the cleaning (i just want it all stardroped and then i'll be happy!)

Take or leave the :grouphug: as needed

Morning Pen-Pen, FrugalJo, scuzz, IceMaiden, catowen, Chipps, catznine, tiredmum, foreverskint, Pooky and Peem!
And anyone else I cross with.

Phew! Takes me all my time just to read and reply to this thread in the morning! I'm back at work at 9 this morning, got one of my old dears leaving for a home tomorrow, not looking forward to it as she is one of my favourites....still, that the nature of the job. Finished the stitching on my round robin piece, just the backstitching to do, which is the most boring bit. Got to do some housework today, the kitchen floor is a disgrace! Chefs really don't know how to keep a kitchen tidy do they!

Well, no time for any more, so hope everyone has a good day and hugs to anyone who needs one

    Morning All

No work horay. Thought I'd be able to do some individual hellos this morning but I can here DD stiring so have to be quick again.

Had a terrible night sleep as the rug rat ended up in with us at 3am think it was nightmares as she was hysterical, she went back to sleep next to her daddy but kept kicking me.

    Plan for the day.
    1. Clear garage shelf in preperation for the great paper brick making session when my new brick maker arrives.
    2. 3 loads of washing
    3. Large basket of ironing
    4. Fill in CTC form (I know I should have before but it went out of my head)
    5. Nip to town to see old friend whos in Southport for the day.

    Have a good day everyone

:hello: Gooooooood Morning, fellow OS'ers (and all lurkers/newbies) :D:D:D

Had a very productive day yesterday and feel rather proud of my achievements.
Despite a bit of rain first thing, I went ahead with 3 washloads and successfully line dried them all before the deluge at teatime.
I'd left the slow cooker on during the night making a chicken stock, so while one wash load was on, I reduced it all down for manageable portions for the freezer.
While that was reducing, put a loaf into the BM and while that was doing it's own thing, hoovered and polished downstairs. Stopping half way through to cool the stock.
One wash load hung out, another in.
Decanted stock into containers; one for fridge, 2 for freezer.
Had a break and flicked through a magazine, saw a recipe for icecream which would use up the double cream I'd bought on the reduced aisle. Adapted it for the ingredients I had, and whizzed up a batch of Summer Fruits Ice Cream in the FP then made a batch of HM yogurt.
Second wash load hung out, third and final load in.
Took all the outstanding paperwork off my desk, sat down with a coffee and the shredder and whizz, whizz, whizz.
Booted up the computer, ran virusscan and defrag. Put all the shredded paper, hoover contents into the composter, gave it a stir. Third and final wash load out. Cleaned and relocated the quails into the new shed. Then did some online banking and bill paying.
Put on a bolognaise sauce to cook slowly on the hob.
    Second loaf into BM.
    Took a break.
    Made some jam crumblies.
Made a couple of phone calls
Made 2nd batch of jam crumblies, this time using up a jar of mincemeat.
Brought in, folded and sorted laundry for ironing later today.
    Remade bed with fresh linen.
Had a quick shower, wiped over bathroom.
Everyone home and time to sit down to pasta with bolognaise sauce, hm bread to mop it all up, and crumblies to finish.
It's great when a day all fits together like that

Today's plans are less busy, busy.
Going through all the uniforms for both lads, checking labels/nametags, packing their gym bags, double checking final forms/paperwork.
    Plenty of ironing to do.

I've got some butter wrappers in the fridge that I'd saved for greasing baking tins, they need using and as they are the perfect size for lining the BM when making cakes, I want to get a couple of cakes done while we get on with the other stuff.

    B: Yogurt and fruit
    L: Chicken Soup
D: Lasagne (using up the l/o bolognaise sauce); summer fruits ice cream.

Snowy - enjoy TWG (is it the 'Complete TW'? There were 3 seperate TWG's and then they published the amalagmated version, "The Complete TWG") some of it reads as quite, er ... 'extreme' and yet other parts are very US and not applicable to UK, but despite that, there is a plethora of interesting tips, ideas that can be incorporated. :D:D

ms_london :hello: Lovely to see you dropping in :D:D Weather has been pretty much wet, wet, wet!!!

Pen Pen - hope you've managed to sort all your knickers out ;)

FrugalJo - have fun with your stardrops and mc  And best of luck with ds's haircut :D

kyle - good luck at the Dr's!

Amanda666 - hope you sleep better tonight. If you managed that swim, it will help. Well done on yesterdays achievements :T :T :D

jan - well done on your baking session :T :T (must have been in the air for many of us  ). Yes, I think the Autumnal air does provoke a return to cooking. ;)

scuzz - the "Love in a Box" sounds wonderful!! Is that the fill a shoe box idea? Aside from the stationery, what will you put in it? Hope you get the nap you want/need. :):):)

Icemaiden - enjoy your lunch today :D:D

Cat - oooh, children measuring :rotfl: Mine still get measured, each April and Sept. As we're a family of shorties, they haven't fallen off the chart yet ... or maybe when dh put it up he did the measurements wrongly?;) Have fun!

    ageandjo ((hugs))

Chipps - good luck with selling/downsizing your vehicle

moggins - I have a vat of chicken soup, would you like to come for lunch? Oops, I see you are at Cadbury World - much nicer than chicken soup - have a funtastic time :D:D:D

elona - ((hugs)) be gentle with yourself today ((hugs))

PP - good luck at the hospital

catznine - hope you find the deal you are looking for.

tiredmum - great news on the new job! :T :T

foreverskint - yes, I know what you mean about the hello's, it takes a while longer now there a lots of lovely people joining the daily thread. :D:D:D I only popped in for a minute and I've been here ages already! :rotfl: Good luck in your room gutting today :T

Pooky - sounds like you've had a wonderful time away! :T :T :T Haven't tried the mould spray so can't help with that  Hope it works for you.

Peem - oooh hope you're book comes as planned, sounds an interesting read :D:D:D

tinkerbelluk - sounds like you needed that chill evening. Good luck tonight and hope you achieve all that you want to achieve.

A Global :hello: to all who follow

    Oh, nearly forgot ....

Ruby Pudding - my bread recipes won't be on here. The main reason being .... I make them up as a go along :o The Olive bread was originally a polenta loaf, then I found some olives which needed using up added some herbs and the end result was the olive loaf. Same with the Cottage Cheese, Rosemary and Sultana. The recipe was for rosemary and sultana, but I some cottage cheese to use up, added some granary flour and the result was a delicious loaf but probably not how it was intended to be :rotfl: :rotfl: I do that all the time. I do make notes of any tweaks/swaps/additions in my recipe book so if it's a blinder, I can do it again or if it flops, at least I know why.
