Good morning, good afternoon and good evening! (Think that covers all time zones!)
Back at work. Not much sleep again last night. Someone texted me at 12.20am which woke me from the snooze I was in. I don't mind though. I'm always contactable if needed.
Didn't get round to making jam yesterday. Didn't get away from here till late owing to a last minute meeting, then I fell asleep on the sofa.
Off go karting with work tonight. It's a team building exercise. Never done go karting before and I have visions of me going round the track the wrong way or backwards:o
Bought some stationery going cheap in Tesco yesterday. I'm going to fill a "Love in a Box" for Mustardseed Relief Missions this year, so thought I'd stock up on pressies now. They send the boxes out to children in Eastern Europe who've never had presents at Christmas. Hoping everyone at work will contribute too.
Must have a kip this afternoon before going out, so may have to push jam making duties onto Mum
Hope everyone's okComping, Clicking & Saving for Change0 -

Looking at the weather may be able to hang the washing out and not do any dancing ( unlike Pen-Pen yesturday ) really made me chuckle:rotfl:

Terrrible nights sleep here...a friend left at gone 1am we wnt to bed at 1.30 but then OH and I had a row in the night at half 3 and I have been on the sofa sinceso I am knackered.
Vet came out to horse and has given hime different bits n pieces creams/antibiotics to try and clear his leg up but I am sooo annoyed:mad: with the others on the yard that were there as I couldnt make it:mad: asking the vet all sorts of questions about the horse saying they were thinking of buyinh him HE IS NOT FOR SALE:mad: I was so upset that people use me and treat me like a mug sometimes.:o I need some lessons on how not to be mugged off by others??? any advice grateful:o
I expect everyone to be like me, I am too flippin honest and too bloody nice to people and then they walk all over me:mad:
Rant over, I'm tired and I need to go to work.
Have a good day0 -
Good morning scuzz and icemaiden - crossed with you both, and hello to all who follow too!!!
Ageandjo - glad you can do something for your horse, some people really do have a cheek tho, but i would say its much better to be nice and honest than the other way!!!! Hope work will be ok for you (((HUGS)))0 -
Good morning all!
There is some blue sky here this morning, so I'm making the most of it and getting the 2nd lot of washing ready to go out shortly.
Not much else apart from housework here today, although I must see about trying to sell our car. It is a Landrover Discovery, & we are looking to downsize to a more economical car now that there are less of us (kids keep leaving home!) Also it is not that easy for my grandma (aged 97) to get in and out of. She has to have a little stool to climb up on! We took her out in it yesterday to buy a new wheelchair. It was useful to have the big car to get the wheelchair in though. I noticed the difference in cost when I had the courtesy car a couple of weeks ago, & drove down to see DD in Portsmouth. Normally it costs £30 in diesel there & back. With the small car it was less than £20!!!! I have worked out that with the savings in fuel, insurance & tax, a new small car should pay for itself in less than 3 years!
Have a nice day!
ps. anyone want to buy a nice clean family-friendly big car????????0 -
Morning all, hugs to ageandjo.
Just a quick one this morning as we're off to Cadbury World and as DD got sent to bed last night after drawing all over her wall and tv I have to bath her this morning before we go and still make lunch too (thanks DH, not)
DS threw out the chicken carcass when he loaded the dishwasher last night so I am not amused with him, I was going to use it to make chicken soup for DH!
Have a good day all, the sun is shining here although there is a nip in the air, I also have to negotiate Birmingham New Street to get a train to Bournville with 2 kids in tow, oh what a joyOrganised people are just too lazy to look for things

If you have got the complete three books in one - you will never read it in one evening.
I am always told I read fast but it took me ages as it spurs you into thinking of things for yourself rather than just giving instructions.
You have to try the muffin recipe - especially the breakfast ones with cheese, bacon and onion! DDs love apple and cinnamon ones.
The cinnamon buns are great!
I am getting quite excited on your behalf!:j
We are setting off at 9 to go to DH's uncle's funeral about 70 miles away. I am glad we managed to go visit at the hospice a week ago.
In the last year we have had
DD home from uni as very ill
another DD with appendicitis which had to be removed
My dad getting leukaemia and dying within 4 months
DD's uncle getting bone cancer and also dying within four months
I am awaiting the rest of the year in trepidation!!!"This site is addictive!"

((((elona)))) - you have had it tough recently. Hope all goes well today
Snowy - I agree with elona; TG is not a quick read! But it is brilliant, I always dip back into it for inspiration & encouragement. My copy is very battered, not to say wrinkled from being held over hot bathwater!!!!
ageandjo - hope the creams & potions work... and don't stop being nice! The loss is with the unkind ones, even if it doesn't always feel like it.0
