Good afternoon everyone,
Well, im pretty proud of myself at the moment, ive made jam!!!!! took the little ones (and DS and DD) blackberry picking earlier (which they all enjoyed, so i get to keep them happy, and get free food at the same time!!!) and when we got back i made them into blackberry and apple jam. ive never made any jam before, so im really chuffed with myself, and i still have loads of blackberries left, so im going to freeze some, and make a blackberry and apple crumble with the rest. (or maybe Lillibets blackberry vodka;)!!!)
Yesterday i started fixing a tv wall bracket up in my room, today ive realised ive put it on the wrong way around, but its going to have to stay that way, as i was so worried it would fall of the wall with the tv on it, i used extra filler when screwing the screws in, so dont think they will come out again, without bringing some of the wall!!! I dont think its going to matter tho (hope not anyway!!!)
Ageandjo - hope your horse will be ok xx
Right, better go and play with the little one,
Have a lovely afternoon everyone,
Take care xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx0 -
Hello again:j
Just a quick update, cos I'm chuffed with myself:T Having spent a bit of time this morning, I managed to re-new my car insurance thru quidco, and should get £100.00 cashback:T The quote was cheaper than my renewal with my old insurers so savings all round.
I also picked up some meat bargains in Morrisons ( just realised there is a morrisons not to far away:o ) and have managed to get two weeks of shopping for 6 for just slightly over £50.00 per week.
And the answer to how does one find time for MSE, its all down to regular:coffee: breaks:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: Oh and ignoring the ensuing chaos from the kids.............
Right off to get tea prepped, and ready for work.
Hope everyone's day is a goodie, and that the problems fade away.0 -

Kazonline wrote:aww, you made me blush with your comment - thank you. SOrry to be ignorant - but what do you mean by a 'round roibin piece'? It's rining bells, but I can't think for the life of me what it could be!
Thanks Kaz... can't remember what I said though
Round Robins are where you get a group of people who simultaneously start a cross stitch piece on a specific subject (ie teddies) and pass it round. In the end you get your piece back and everyone will have stitched a teddy on it. It's great fun. Can be quite complicated. We have one piece on the rounds now (only one being stitched on, not a multi-piece) that started in Wales in January, went to Iceland, New Jersey, west yorks, hampshire, east sussex, australia, and philadelphia. It's in Cleveland now, then it's coming to me.DFW Nerd no 239.....Last Personal Debt paid off Nov 2012!

Well that was fun!! Took the kids plus DS's best friend ten pin bowling and they had a great time although the boys were not amused that DD (5) won the first game
I've come home and shoved a chicken in the oven and have had to resort to readymade roast potatoes but I can't peel spuds and there is no one to do it for me, DH still poorly and the last time I got DS to do it he peeled his knuckles instead, never mind, it's still better than resorting to a takeaway.
After bathing DD and getting her off to bed I will start making a packed lunch to take with us tomorrow and get the travel directions and tickets sorted out.Organised people are just too lazy to look for things

Mirry - I know what you mean, most evenings I could get a lot more sewing and knitting done if I wasn't perusing the threads!
Smashing Blouse - hope you are ok and recovering well.
Moggins - your poor stuck thumb, is it wise to leave it too long? you never know it might mend like that if left.
I'm just about to leave work and then it's home to lamb steaks and mint sauce, followed by blackberry picking if weather holds, sewing aprons if it doesn't.
Hope you all have lovely evening.
doddsyWe must not, in trying to think about how we can make a big difference, ignore the small daily differences we can make which, over time, add up to big differences that we often cannot foresee.

Hello everyone
Just a quickie I'm afraid...I'm on a break from w***, but have to go back v.shortly.
LOL at Thriftlady!! Procrastination used to be the theif of time, now it's MSE!! I often find myself doing the same, just as Mirry as noticed. When my laptop was in the laptop clinic I got loads of things done - specially as I don't have a telly. Turning the laptop off is a major problem once I've logged in though.
Today I had a big horrible nosebleed right in the middle of the office. It was so embarrassing with lots of cu perious people coming over to give so-called advice. 1st aiders were rubbish...one insisted on leaning back, the other on leaning forward. I ignored them as I know what to do. It went on for 45 minutes or so - someone was wanting to take me to casualty, somebody else had their keys ready to take me to a GP. Over reaction by so many, me telling them to calm down and it would stop in its own time. D'oh!
Ageandjo - I hope your horse is OK. Flipping nightmare that...
Sorry everyone - I have speed skimmed reading this but I've got go back to that place....
Oh good news! DHL are going to deliver my Complete Tightwad Gazette to my office tomorrow. Yippee!! AussieLass, you have truly ignited my curiosity regards the book you got...maybe I shall be organising another amazon delivery soon...
Bye all!

I have to share this with you
Today I informed Mr TM that some serious cleaning needed doing, which involved such tasks as dusting, washing, cleaning bathrooms, mopping floors and not just a whip round the middle of a room with the vac. I came into the kitchen to find him dusting .... of sorts. He decided that the immediate priority was to clean all the cobwebs away from the back door and garage. Yes, I found him "dusting" the garage :rotfl:
I went into town with DS2 to get his school uniform (aww bless, my baby starts school on monday) and left him to it, for 3 hours. I came home to a well hoovered hall and he'd tidied some stuff away. Other than that ....erm ... Oh yes, he spent 1 1/2 hours putting DS1's scalectrix together
So, I have bathrooms to clean tonight, I've defrosted/cleaned the freezer that he left the door open on, made spag bol and HM garlic bread. I've stripped the bed which needs remaking. I've cleaned the gerbils out too. That mountain of ironing has reappearedbut that can wait until I watch House at 9pm.
Must go and look at the lack of cobwebs in the garage now ........ :rotfl:
ps He's suddenly realised why I moan about having had to vac the hall so often. It's covered in mud - again. I have to say I smiled at this point and gave him the "what are you telling me for, I do it every day" look. :rotfl:0 -
