Kaz - Regarding the cream jug, the Ewenny pottery is fairly near to you, certainly not far from stormy down anyway. The pottery is lovely and quite collectable I believe, might be worth visiting there one day to find out it's value? Our days are happier when we give people a bit of our heart rather than a piece of our mind.

Hi, again!
I've been making lemon curd from 3 lovely lemons I found in a fridge clearout yesterday. It looks and smells lovely, so will make a white laof overnight in BM, and have the crust with lemon for breakfast. :T Recipe, anyone - it's ever so easy. Also doing the washing hokey-cokey in the rain (in, out, in, out..... :rotfl: )

Howdy folks,
Well the weather here can't make up it's mind. One second rain, next - sun!
We went to the Plum festival yesterday, but ... erm ... saw very few plums! I think we were too late (midday) for them, but we did have a very scrummy sausage and onion bap!
We queued for 3 miles to get there, and whilst we were queueing we were looking in the hedgerows to see what we could see .. blackberries / apples / sloes / plums / damsons.
On the way back DH saw some damsons at a fairly safe place to park, so we turned in to this side road to turn around, which turned in to being a kind of dirt track that we couldn't easily turn around inWhilst going down there .. we spotted a glut of damsons
We picked 6lbs of them
DD (nearly 3) had a great time helping. Further on our journey we spotted some sloes .. unfortunately we only got 9ozs of those, so we've lobbed them in to the freezer and will go back for some more next week
Last night saw DH and I (ok, mainly DH) stoning 3lbs of damsons and converting them in to wineToday, I'm going to use the 3lbs of leftover fruit with a crumble topping methinks.
This morning DD and I have made blueberry muffins and a banana loaf. Soaking a whole load of paper (shredded / newspaper) with sawdust ready to make some bricks tonight. Now cleaning the oven door (glass). I tried Dr Beckmann's but that didn't shift the grease, so now it's bicarb and soda crystalsI'm trying.
Any ideas where I can get a cheap pressurised beer barrel for DH to make beer with ? Yes, I've tried freecycle
Right, as it's not raining, going to part DD from the sofa and go for a wander round the charity shops in the vain hope of finding beer making kitI know how to live it up I do
