Good morning all
I haven't been about much on here recently, what with Holiday Club all last week. Sunday was the last day, so back to normal now.
Well, almost normal, as DS is off at camp this week, so I have the place to myself! There is so much that needs to be done, so I have written out a timed daily list for each day!
.... which reminds me, I haven't allowed time for MSE OS browsing. How remiss of me! I now have 3 minutes to drink my tea & get back to work!
Have a good day all of you!0 -
Hello everyone:)
CHoc cake in oven for elevenses, bread in BM for lunch Half wholemeal half white. OH got some bosnian flour (yes really) which is the finest I have ever seen!
kids back at school tomorrow, so it will be shirt ironing later;)
Got mushrooms and watercress dd picked for me when she was at her dads - love watercress so that will go well with the hm pizza at teatime.
Going on the open top bus tour as entertainment - had a free ticket from dd's dad.
Done all my 'anthea' routine apart from hoovering the front room, but I have put ds2s activity books into a magazine file (viking economy one) and ds1 now wants magazine files too. On to something here!
Future MIL phoned me to thank me for the birthday present I chose her- I am in there! She's pretty OS too, introduced me to the idea of getting organic veg.
Off for my second proper coffee and about time I brushed my hair really!
Have a lovely day everyone.Member no.1 of the 'I'm not in a clique' group :rotfl:

Morning all.....((((((((HUGS))))))))))) to those who need them, good luck at the hospital today PP.........
Nice bright morning, but the chill is in the air, I can feel it, had to put a fleece on last night........ all the laundry is washed, dry ironed and put away.....managed to get towels washed and dry yesterday afternoon. Nice clean house apart from the kitchen which will get done on Thursday.....
One curtain unpicked and the lining pinned in, will put that through the sewing macine today and then do the other one, I found the valance for the curtains and the tie backs, so will have a posh sewing room. the curtains are quite long, but will pull them over behind the rad which is under the window when I draw them at night. Need to drill a couple of holes to put the hooks in for the tie backs.
OH has gone off to do his grass cutting...... he came home just after 5 last night after a full days bowling.... he had roast pork at lunch time, so cut the breast off the chicken and sliced it, we had chicken salad and fruit in jelly for supper.
Apart from doing the curtain do not have any real plans for today, tomorrow is shopping day.......so Mr Tesco will be getting a visit. Need to go to the stall on the market for a cauliflower and some brocc..... we are going to try growing our own caulis next year, they are not easy to grow need a lot of water to make the heads swell.
Spag bol with garlic bread tonight, took the bol sauce out of the freezer yesterday.still have some crumble left so that will do for dessert, and possibly for tomorrow too.
I need to have a look at my chrissie list......... we have another grandchild this year which brings the count to 13 I think........two of them are off the list, both over 21 now, but still have 11, so our winter fuel payment will be halved again this year......we pay our gas and electric by DD so tend to treat the WFP as an 'extra' whats left goes into our emergency fund.
Right I am off for my coffee fix and to make some welsh cakes, they went down a storm last week, finished the scones yesterday so need something to have with our afternoon cup of tea......

Morning
... Back at w**k today - where did the weekend go?
... Yesterday afternoon's concert was disappointing, but the evening one was terrific ... Also, forgot to say yesterday, on Sunday I went out for lunch with the nice man I told you about ... It was very pleasant but I had to tell him I wasn't looking for anything, I felt really sorry for him (he was so shy that he got completely tongue tied when trying to ask me out again, so I actually had to do it myself, only to turn him down - bless
) ... Anyway, am hoping this week should be productive ... Have been told the mortgage offer should be with my solicitor today ... Also, Friday is Sept 1 which means my interest will come through on my A&L savings account (read "stoozing account"
- budgeted solely for luxuries and NOTHING to do with moving house
) ... And am expecting a call from the HA sometime in next couple of days to arrange a time for me to go and measure up the flat properly ... Can't stop as am v. busy at w**k today!... My plans for this evening depend on whether I get my report finished at a reasonable hour ... Might go out ... Might get called over to the flat with my tape measure ... Might on the other hand go home and do some housework which desperately needs to be done, especally the washing, as I've run out of pairs of decent trousers for work ... Also, cos of the bank holiday, tomorrow is "bin day", and if I put my mind to it I could probably fill about 3 black sacks! ... Welcome to Geordielass (we've got another user called Jordylass, so mind you don't confuse people) and also welcome to Wearside - which part of Wearside are you from? (I'm from Durham City though I've lived in London for the past 7 years) ... TM, I'm so glad you found the gerbil! We used to keep hamsters when I was growing up, and they would always escape while we were on holiday cos the neighbour who looked after them didn't close the cage properly! My dad built a humane trap which succeeded in catching several mice as well as the hamster! ... PP, good to hear you sounding brighter
... Lillibet - enjoy your "me time" while Spud's still asleep ... Must be off now ... See you later ... Rzl xx

Morning everyone,
haven't got time to go through the whole thread, but hellos and (((hugs))) all round:D
Am planning on a bit of a tidy, have done the kitchen and bathroom already, just bedrooms to do. WIll tackle the living room later,(2 kittens and one toddler:eek: ) when the dust settles from the day's play.
I managed to get a leg up proper on the OS wagon, this weekend:T Have made all my own bread, 5 meals for the freezer by doubling up what i was already making. Made a steak & ale pie, from the leftovers of a beef in beer casserole, and that's in the freezer too.
It does make me feel better, all this Ostyle staff. Sort of organised and calm.
Anyone else feel that way, or am I just strange:rotfl:

Morning everyone,
Oh dear, after my busy day yesterday I'm feeling so tired. At w**k by myself so hopefully no-one will notice if I nod off:D .
Need to write a to do list for tonight as MIL & SIL coming tomorrow. Just really our bedroom to tidy and dust and the landing, will get OH to vacuum through because I find the Dyson so heavy it puts me off that job. Will also make another batch of mocha squares.
Good luck at the hospital Penny Pincher.
BRzl - hope things continue to go smoothly with your purchase.
Better get on with some work now.
