    Morning folks

As far as I know - the gerbil is still in it's cage this morning - haven't been in to check yet :D

Next door's boys are here today, will be arriving in about 15 minutes I think. Want to take DS2 into town to get his school shoes and last bits of uniform, so Mr TM can be in charge of all those at home :)

I finished nearly al the ironing last night. Thought I'd done it all but then saw a few stray items that I'd missed :( They'll wait though. Oh, poo..... just remembered I have a maiden and a rad full of drying clothes downstairs. It never really ends, does it. BM is already on and DW will go on after brekkie. Need to get on and do some serious cleaning today too.

Right, off to get DS1's breakfast, he's just stumbled in here. Also, must put the old keyboard back on. Mr TM is so heavy handed my brand new and very expensive keyboard is already starting to sound as if it's been pounded to death. The poor space bar takes all the beating and it's a bit "clicky" today at the edge he always uses  Watch him complain........ but yah-boo sucks....it's been bought on the business account primarily for me and I won't have him knackering it before I've got going!!

Right, I'm off now. Have a good day everyone

Kaz - Good luck with the fence today.

I don't know how to say this but I have a bone to pick with all you OS'ers! I was blissfully happy with my cleaning routine until I joined this board then it's microfibre this, stardrops that and I finally gave in and bought both of a little light cleaning over the BH weekend.

3 days later and I am still going as I didn't quite realise what utter filth I must have been living in :o I wouldn't mind but I've only managed to do all of downstairs so far

Saying that though the house does look wonderful but it does make me wonder what all these other cleaning products I have been using for the last 5 years have done!

Anyway w**k today and given the weekend I've had I'm actually looking forward to the rest before going home and tackling upstairs this evening.

Take or leave the :grouphug: as needed.

  • Morning all,

Daily thread seems to be much busier on a normal work day - was a bit quiet over the BH w/e. DS and DD are back - its amazing how much I miss then when they are gone for three days. We will be going swimming today. I am considering driving to Scotland to see my parents tomorrow for a few days. DS and DD don't get to see my family much so they always welcome any visit no matter how short.

I haven't decided what we will be eating for dinner tonight so I should go and look in the freezer - no doubt it will be chicken though. Also have some veg that really needs using up so I think soup is called for. A good chance for DS to learn something new to cook. :D

Well, I'm off to switch energy suppliers now. Hugs to all who need them.

    Morning!

Unfortunately not feeling too well today either so I'm just going to take it gently and just catch up by reading through some of the threads.

Kaz - Shame about Stormy Down, that's where I have got my best bargains! I love those boxes some people have under the tables with everything 10p got some lovely t shirts in there once and felt like Amy whatshername from tightwad gazette!:D Also on one unforgettable day got some Poole pottery for £3 (later found out it was worth £189:j ) looks lovely now I have cleaned it up. Our local bootsale was cancelled yesterday but I did get some bargains in the walthamstow branch of asda when we visited dd. Huge bag of pasta (3kg) for £1, 6 tins of chickpeas for £1 to make hummous with when I can find the recipe.

Tm - Glad you got the gerbil back!

By the way its definate my breadmaker has died! :(

((((Hugs)))) to all that need them especially pp.

Ooh, maybe I'll squeak in on the front page this morning!

Morning all - glad to see the gerbil is where it should be! We used to have gerbils when I was little and I do have one memory of having to dig out the dishwasher to get one of little so-and-sos when it had escaped!

More working from home planned here - if yesterday's drying in the hot press is done then I'll stick on a bedding wash. Off to do my daily clicks in a bit.

Have a good day everyone and hugs to whoever needs them!

    Morning All

Back at work - been here since 5.30am. Had yesterday off thankfully. Had a productive weekend. Made my first ever banana bread - it lasted less than 12 hours!!! So I made another yesterday, which is making up part of my lunch.

Spent a lot of time in the garden harvesting yesterday. Runner beans are looking happier since the rain. Also got a good crop of peaches - they're becoming jam later, when I get some redcurrents to go with it. Coxes apples are in and ready for juicing and first batch of plums is now jam

Aiming to get out of here either on time or early, as I have to get sugar for this afternoon's jam fest.

Couldn't believe Tesco have stopped selling Certo:eek: Almost had a panic attack at the thought of not being able to get it. Luckily found some in Sainsbury's, but didn't appreciate the extra trip out. Will be requesting they get it back, especially as it's the height of jam season!!!

    Anyhoo, hope everyone's ok

Another post from me, Spud STILL isn't awake () so thought I would add that I was good over the weekend & bought 1 Xmas pressie in the Wilko's sale, and made blackberry Vodka with free blackberries & Vodka which I was given, AND picked free Sloes which is are currently "frosting" in the freezer prior to being turned into Sloe Gin made with some Gin I was given:D. All it's costing me is the sugar:D And I plan to give some away as Xmas pressies so saving a bit of cash:T
