    Good Morning Everyone
I notice a definete washing/ironing theme today! I think I'd better join you before I get snowed under with it again, so good luck Ticklemouse and Learning to save.

Pen - I haven't been on top of the housew**k for that reason that I just can't do it with the children and their friends in the house, as soon as they go back it's me in flylady mood. I do love having them home though.

The OS style is certainly getting under my skin, I had some very tasteless value apples in fridge that I turned into apple pies yesterday, some left over double cream that DS whipped into butter in front of my Mum and she just didn't believe it !

Got some roast lamb left from yesterday and not my favourite cold meat, plus DS wants to pake a fish pie or lasagne, off to mega index......

Have a good BH whatever you are doing.

  • Good morning all,

It is actually dry here at the moment though like TM we had a thunderstorm in Preston last night too. The lightening was amazing. Am I strange in that I always say a wee prayer for the homeless in weather like that? I also do it when there are blizzards and very, very cold weather.

PenPen hope the rhinitis clears quickly. Its more annoying than anything but it can still hamper my attempts to get anything done.

Jockett - hope you don't have to go out and try and find your dd and ex. :D

Snowy - don't overdo the cleaning. It is a bank holiday after all. Hope you get the fabric at a price you are happy with.

Soba - you have now put me in the mood for some warm toast with jam. Yum yum.

TM - hope you enjoy catching up with friends at the party today.

    Amanda - don't work too hard! ;)

LTS - youare so lucky. I adored it when my DS and DD were toddlers. They would giggle at the slightest thing. Sounds like your house will be full of laughter today - enjoy it. DS is in the early stage of teenage-itis. As far as I know there is no cure. DD will be following soon.

Kaz - I only ever did one car boot sale in my life and refused to sell some things on principle. I had a brand new hardback book (cost £15), read once. A guy tried to haggle the price down from £1.50. I refused. Just how mean are some people. Still I made £120 and cleared a lot of stuff from the house so not a total washout.

FrugalJo - hope the weather is good to you to allow you to get all that washing dried.

To all posters, enjoy your day whatever you are doing. I intend to go shopping as school starts next week and I want to be on nit patrol early so must go and buy some treatment - just in case.

    Morning all,

It's actually dry here, it was battering down last night, but it's bloomin' cold!

My darling daughter kept me up all night - constantly wanting fed! Then when she finally fell asleep, I couldn't - so my shower room and upstairs bathroom are both all sparkly and clean!

I suppose I'll sort out the rest of my more or less free stuff from Tesco last night. I have about £100 worth of beauty products which I spent about £10 on and I got £14.00 back in points (£56.00 in deals!)

I have a few loads of washing to do and then some wrapping up - it was my dad's birthday yesterday (that's not what I'm wrapping, lol), my grannie's tomorrow, my mum's on Friday and my s-i-l's next wed!

I'm going to go and make some very strong coffe and then have a nap later!
Hope you all have a nice day! and Penelope I hope you feel better!

    Morning all

Kaz, nice to see you back, I did wonder where you had got too.

Penpen, the dust is a stinker for allergies isn't it. My poor DH really suffers as our house is a dust catcher.

Jockett I hope your XDH finds the house, my DS always arrives home late and my XDH knows exactly where the house is!

Snowy - I am sorry but I had to laugh at your incincerated soda farls, that's the kind of thing I am doing a lot of lately but only because I'm getting to absorbed in MSE

Ticklemouse - it's lovely to see you back here

Have a good day everyone, it's lovely here, blue skies and not a cloud anywhere. it's been raining all night by the looks of things though. I have to get some more laundry done but not much planned apart from that, I may take DD out blackberrying if she gets noisy as DH has to work tonight.

Lunch is smoked salmon sandwiches as I took a pack out of the freezer and accidently forgot to put it back in unless anyone can think of anything I could make for tea with it?

:hello: Morning Everyone. As usual the list of folk who were up & about early has become so long by the time I wake up Mrs. Slug, she doesn't feel up to answering each individually. So hello to all, and :grouphug: to those poor snufflers & toddler tamers who obviously need it.

The weather here in South Yorkshire is gorgeous so far. Anyone know if there's B.H. Car boot on anywhere? I used to go to one in Gisburn, but my online search only gives me their planning application for the regular Sunday ones. Willing to travel for a biggy.

D.H. sneaked out of bed this a.m. and fed puppy and took him outside to damage the lawn, so I got a lie in :j

Now I'm at a loose end. This time next week I'll be working (boo hoo) but I don't want to spend my last week of freedom being miserable about it.
