I need the invites, and im also hoping to find some cheap football party bags (the already made type) somewhere, to save me doing it!!! I have a couple of weeks before his party, but i do like to get everything ready asap.
Right, off to get showered and dressed, hugs and heelos to everyone today, hope you all have a good one,
    Take care xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
  • Morning all,

Awful night last night, got up at 3am with stomach cramps due to the low residue diet I am on for my op on tuesday. I can't have white bread, rice, pasta or flour and guess what the low residue diet consists of:mad:

So today will be another day of agony, then bank holiday monday lets just say I have to take a certain drink that will leave me hogging the bathroom. At least it is sparkly clean from the stardrops:D

Just need to empty the WM, weather looks good at the moment so hopefully will be able to hang it out, and maybe attempt the ironing.

Dinner tonight is a full roast for DH andDD and for me skinless chicken and mash:(

Hope you all have a great day and bank holiday.

I have decided I need a Miele cat & dog vacuum cleaner, as I have heard such good reviews about it. Unfortunately at almost £200 it's not cheap.SnowyOwl

Here's me jumping in where I'm not known (yet - that will change lol) with advice.

No no no no - you don't need a Miele. You NEED a Henry Hound. Fabby machine, honestly. We gave up on Dysons, which we were always told were the bees knees, when our fourth one died a nasty death, and went over to Henry. The difference is astonishing. The Henry is far far far better than the Dyson ever was, even when it was brand new.

We've got a very shaggy dog, who seems to shed hair 24-7, and Henry copes with it admirably.

I got mine here : http://!!!!!!!.com/fnuqd and I cannot recommend him highly enough. His after sales services, ime, is second to none.

Off now to browse and post more on this board :-)

Edited, puzzled, to say that clearly it doesn't like my link above. Not sure why, but it's an Ebay seller called sherbourne_jim and he sells the HH for £145 with free delivery.
  • Good Morning, all!

DH has taken children to meet his parents for lunch, then children are staying there for the week. Bit odd. Will be great to get loads done, but am missing them already. I'm making courgette and parmesan sauce for pasta for our tea, then we may go out for a beer with some friends.

Rzl, we don't get bargains like taht in our charity shops, either

Hi, Snowy, will be posting on FLC II, next. Am intending to do lots of cupboard clearing this week. I'll be ruthless - small people find all sorts of things that they haven't used for years, but now can't bear to part with

Hi, PP. Have a good reast today, and hope you soon feel better.

Tired mum and Amanda, will you have time off later in the week, to make up for working today?

Frugaljo, isn't it great when your children want to cook? I've always encouraged mine, but until very recently, they haven't wanted to. They're both now very good - bread, pastry, cake, sauces. I want them to be able to eat well and economically, when they leave home, rather than existing on takeaways and ready meals.

Ronankfan - what's the All Star Cup? Enjoy it!

Foreverskint - I'd love some cats, but am allergic  We're investigating short haired varieties, as a possibility.

Hi, Doddsy. I do feel sorry for your DD's BF! The memories brought me out in a cold sweat.............

Hi, Shez, what is it about Ikea? I go in for a pack of tealights (£2) and the bill is around £50

Annie, power to your stardrops! :D

Ageandjo, that's very generous for your mother. Enjoy the shopping.

Hi, Cat. Are you looking for party bags already filled, or the small plastic type, to fill? I got some good ones in Tesco, and some whistle pencil sharpeners from Woolies to put in. DS was ata party last night and got an England pen, which he loves. Think it was from JJB

    Welcome, Hootie!

Smashing, hope you feel better, and the op goes OK.

    Kaz, are you around, hun?

    Have a great Sunday, everyone!

Off to Fly, Penny. x :D

    Morning all, just :D

I had another lovely lie in this morning as DH took care of DD before he went to work. If I can get DD to co-operate I have a lot to do today, the steak is thawing out for a steak and kidney pie tonight. I really need to run the hoover round and so far the curtains aren't even opened as DD keeps hiding behind them.

Bargainrzl I'm glad you had a good time at the party

PP it's nice to see you back

Foreverskint - it's lovely to have new furry additions to the family.

    Frugaljo can we swop sons?

Smashing Blouse I hope you do start to feel better soon, strange how diet can have such an effect on us!
Organised people are just too lazy to look for things

have found GEOX trainer stockist (the shoe that breathes on tv advert)
at last! start price is £32! even more expensive than clarks trainers! but DS is always complaining about his feet hurting at the end of the day, and ive always bought clarks? maybe i would be better just getting a pair of reebox or such in sportsworld!?

penpen - ikea - its only £1 "you say" but then all the £1s add up!! and you end up spending about hours in there when you just "popped in" for one thing:rotfl: and the kids love the icecream machine!
hope the chooks have been inside in this rainy weather???
carol thatcher mentioned the word "chook" on sat kitchen yesterday too!
and with the kids off for the week no doubt you will be swanning around in yr lacey frillies you had to get out the other day;)
    :rotfl:

freecycler has picked up potty/toilet seat - just 2 buggys, cot, high chair to go! (and toys when kids are not looking ;) )

Have reserved a bike child seat at argos for when they open later, funny how it only fits on my bike and not DH's - that means i have to cart DD around - oh well it will help with my losing weight i suppose:rotfl:
  • :hello: Hi, Shez! :hello:

Do you have the Archers Omnibus on? You need to catch up with what Brian's up to!

Was really shocked when I saw Carol Thatcher on the TV recently. I often hear her on the radio, but doesn't she look like her dad?
