    Good Morning
Bargain - it's great to catch up with people like that, I'm a real nostalgic old fool, so love that sort of thing.
SnowyOwl, our lurcher pup is seriously moulting, wouldn't mind but he is short haired, ginger and white, short of walking round with rolls of masking tape I too am in a hairy mess ! The car is worst.
P - P - Hope you get some quality sleep, and feeling loads better today :)

Youngest son (9) made Nigella Scotch pancakes for breakfast yesterday - I was really impressed ! So far he can make cauliflower cheese (sauce from scratch), tomato tuna pasta, pancakes, variations of cakes and cookies and yorkshire puddings, and we tried ice cream but it's a bit hard ie - broke container trying to get it out...
Hasn't found the dishwasher yet but I will happily be the kitchen porter for now :)

And I managed to do the ironing ....:j

Today - full English breakfast and then Mum and other half round for roast lamb, chefy son making a fruit flan for pudding :T

Hope the sunshine comes out for everyone, and those who were feeling down/poorly feel better.

    Morning everyone.

:j :j Our new kittens arrived last night and our making their presence known:rolleyes: They are absolutely wonderfully gorgeous, and we have named them Maggie and Marge. luckily they seem quite resilient and playful as our three year old DD is VERY interested in them. They've settled in well, eating and toileting in the right places, and we're looking forward to many happy years together:D :j

Other than playing with kittens, don't think we'll be doing too much today.

    Have a lovely day everyone.

    Good Morning all,

I have been up a while trying to tidy up before we go to mil and fil for lunch. Our eldest daughter is taking her boyfriend for 'Grandparent Inspection'. Poor guy, only 17 and very shy - hope he survives Nans interrogations!

tiredmum - our charity shops are going the same way, and the ladies can be very sniffy too. Last week I took some really nice stuff into Cancer Research which I hadn't managed to sell at a car boot which had a really poor turn out. When I explained she 'sniffed' and said - 'We don't take junk, if you couldn't sell it at a carboot what makes you think we can sell it' Grrrrr!

FrugalJo - do we have a budding Jamie Oliver?? BTW hm ice cream is always harder, recommeded that it's taken out several minutes before you need it. How fantastic that he wants to cook, you must have alot of patience, my oh was never allowed in the kitchen for fear of making a mess.

PennyPincher - I have been reading the daily thread for a long time now, it really seems odd when you don't post! Hope you are feeling a little better soon.

Hope all have a nice day.

We must not, in trying to think about how we can make a big difference, ignore the small daily differences we can make which, over time, add up to big differences that we often cannot foresee.

    Morning Everyone:D

Didnt get to post yesterday so hope everyone is well?

Went to lakeside yesterday in search of G-OX trainers??? tried every shoe shop cant find them:confused: anyone else know?
Went to Ikea and got some plants for new office and a new wok £4!! and other bits and pieces £29 later:eek: and bargainrzl - was looking at the leather sofas again! glad you had a nice time at yr party - youre always doing something which is nice - unfortunately most of my evenings are indoors when you have kids! great find on the jeans! Ive never found anything that good in my ones, you must have a posher area!!

Gonna try and get a bike seat for DD later in argos so we can all go out cycling as a family! Got a couple of freecyclers hopefully coming this evening.

PP - hope u feel better soon x yr dinners always sound lovely, big roasties!
foreverskint - kittens sound lovely - my dd wants one but snowys hair sagas keep putting me off!
snowy - im thinking of getting a new bissell cleaner, theyve got one in makros soon half price £99! my carpet seems to need shampooing every month now:eek:

amanda666 - dont think there are any offers out yet for the show.

you could keep an eye out on Londontheatredirect.com they often do half price ones? but not at the moment.

there is 2 for 1 offers if you have an oyster card for some london shows, but dont think it will include that as its a new one.
  • :D Good morning all :hello:

Feeling much better today so think the remaining cleaning will be done today which will give me a day to pamper myself tomorrow. Just had my porridge with sunflower and pumpkin seeds and honey so am raring to go!

BargainRZL - glad you enjoyed the party. I took my DS and DD up to Scotland for a surprise party for my parents' golden wedding earlier this month. Lots and lots of family that I hadn't seen in years were there. It was lovely catching up with them. Well done on the bargain jeans too. No panic on the PM btw - it is a bank holiday after all.

Snowy - consider the cat/dog hair vacuum cleaner as an early Christmas present to yourself??? ;)

PP - glad you managed some sleep at least. Hope you manage another few hours later today and feel much better for it.

FrugalJo - well done to your son. I'm trying to teach my DS to cook too. He can manage scrambled eggs, toast (but then who can't  ), stirfry and even the odd curry. Going to have him make soup next - good practice for when he becomes a poor uni student.

Tired mum/Amanda - don't work too hard - it is a day of rest (supposedly). ;)

Ronankfan - hope you spot lots of celebrities and maybe get an autograph or two that you could sell on e-bay??

Foreverskint - aren't baby animals gorgeous. Doesn't matter how ugly they actually grow up to be, I think every baby animal is gorgeous. Sounds like your new kittens will be totally spoiled.

Doddsy - enjoy your lunch with ILs. Hope the bf passes muster - poor soul.

Shez, sorry I can't be of help - have never heard of G-OX trainers. Hope you track them down.

To all posters - have a great day.

I'm off to get the stardrops and microfibre cloths out.
