Oooh, warm fresh bread .... oooh .....

Nah, I can't be bothered to wait 2hrs for such luxuries :)

I shall have to console myself with a voddie and orange  whilst I'm attempting another set of curtains ... should make the seams a little wobbly!

SnowyOwl - a work colleague of mine who originates from Belfast says that they have a phrase over there "it's either raining, or about to ... " .... guess it means you haven't got a hosepipe ban!

Did I mention ... we're going to see Noddy tomorrow ... bizarrely I'm quite excited! Even mentioned it to the hairdresser today, who asked me if it was a "Noddy Convention" :rotfl: The idea of lots of people dressed up as Noddy discussing different episodes did make us cackle :rotfl:

Right, off to thread the sewing machine .... hmmmm ....

Oh and for those of you who remember my earlier posting (unlikely) of where I was going to put the BM on for lunch, after having brekkie of choc and coffeee .... I, erm, had a gorgeous bacon / sausage / egg bap from the shop .... it was nice, if not at all planned :o .

    Diet .... erm ... yeh ...

  • Hi All,
A late post for me, Im off to bed in a minute. Had a very hectic and stressful week. I posted last on Sunday, I was looking forward to a nice lazy day. Shortly after I received a panic stricken phone call from my mum. She ended up at A+E, she had had a heart attack. She has been in hospital since then, but I fetched her out today.
We were originally going on holiday tomorrow but this has now been postphoned/possibly cancelled, Ill have to see how my mum is getting on before I can relax and enjoy myself.
Im off to bed now with Pirates of the Carribean on DVD which I have not yet seen, went to see Pirates 2 which was great so Im sure this will be too.
I cant believe how long the daily thread is getting, it takes ages to read through, very enjoyable though!
    Night night.

Nope definitely no hosepipe ban over here! Maybe they will make them compulsory to help use some of the water in our full up reservoirs:rolleyes:. It's a bank holiday weekend and rain started at about 11.00 am - went off for a bit around 5.00 pm but then came back five times heavier. Where does all this water come from???

Seraphina - where are you from originally? Just the general area, I'm not stalking you! Would you ever want to go back? (I'll let you know by PM what it's like moving back if you are interested, though I was away for a long, long time....).

I read the thread about shop bought bread and the shocking truth about it. Maybe it's time to get myself a breadmaker after all. I looked at the Robert Dyas site but the standard delivery to NI is £15.00. With the 20% discount for new customers their Panasonic might still be the cheapest. That delivery charge really does gall though. I'll hunt another offer and see if there's something locally available.

Ooooo would yo believe I am all light heaed now, maybe I should go for a sleep...

    Night night.

    Hi all,

Busy evening after work - I cleaned the porch and front window, all the woodwork in the hall and front room dusted and decobwebbed both then dh vacuumed. He also sorted out the tent which came back from one of the kid's music festivals so that it fit in the bag and we folded and put away cleaned sleeping bags.

Then I cleaned the kitchen up and shined (is that right, doesn't look right) the sink.

We ate last night's left over pasta - it's a dish I concocted years ago for the kids ahich they love but there's always loads of it.

Have a good night evertone, I hope the insomniacs among you manage to sleep.

Oh Sweet Pea your poor mum! I hope she is over the worst and the situation can be managed to very positive effect. She must be glad to get back home again after the best part of a week. It'll be more peaceful and less stressful at home.. Big hugs to you and to her.

Sweet Pea, hope your mum (and you) are ok. My mum was rushed to hospital last Friday with a suspected heart attack. It turned out not to be but they kept her in until Monday (shes 85). Take it easy and I hope you get your holiday.

We must not, in trying to think about how we can make a big difference, ignore the small daily differences we can make which, over time, add up to big differences that we often cannot foresee.

    Morning everyone!

It's Saturday and it's a bank holiday weekend - fantastic:j! It's very scary to think that the next public holiday will be Christmas.

Well, not a lot to report, it being the middle of the night and all. I think that today I will have to get back to doing a bit of flylady. I have been conspicuous by my absence on the flylady thread. Things have slipped somewhat, not helped by the generous amounts of overtime I'm having to do at the moment. Running around for 15 minutes with a duster isn't top of the evening's entertainment when I get in from the office. I think I'll include the car in my clean sweep - it hasn't been hoovered this year. Not good...

PennyPincher, hope you're feeling better today, your absence yesterday caused ripples of concern here.

Amongst other things, I want to tackle making a Christmas cake this weekend. I just need to go and buy a decent heavy tin, and some of the ingredients. Fingers crossed the electricity doesn't go splat when the cake is in the oven.

How's everyone else? Sweet Pea - how's your mum? Elona, you alright? BargainRzl, guess you're fighting them off with a big stick by now.

I'm going to try and generate a few more Zzzzzzz's before I get up for real, so night night while you rise and shine!

Goodmorning Snowy & all to follow,

Well my computer is fixed. :T Hard drive ok & it only cost $60. Doggies all cut. She was lovely. A canadian and she also only charged me $30 each. :D I had anticipated lots more for my puter but was pleasantly surprised. Mowed the yard this afternoon. Should have worn my bikini's :rotfl:yeah right as it's a warm day. Good for the natural tan as when it get's too hot you burn.

Snowy Hope your cake turns out. :D I make a pineapple fruit cake for my Xmas cake as it's a bit lighter than a rich fruit cake. I suppose it's another recipe you can put in your p**** pad. :p

Have a lovely saturday everyone and (((((hugs))))) to all.
Don't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia. ;)
