  • Morning all :hello:

It's typical isn't it? DS and DD went to stay with their Dad last night for the whole Bank Holiday weekend. I had big plans for my new bottle of stardrops and my microfibre cloths. I was going to scrub this house from top to bottom. Then at 10.00 last night my tummy started making all sorts of weird and wonderful noises and I have now been up all night with a stomach bug. Can't even think of anything I have eaten that would have upset me so I suspect it is just a 24 hour bug I have picked up when I was out shopping yesterday. I now feel totally washed out and good for nowt.

Penny Pincher - hope you are feeling better today.

BargainRZL - I used to buy season tickets for opera when I lived in Scotland. Unfortunately I would have to travel to Liverpool or Manchester if I wanted to see any decent operas here. Trouble is they are both over an hour's drive so the only realistic time for me to go is at the weekends and they don't seem to do them at the weekends. Think I may try and take DD to the Proms next year. How soon is the programme of concerts available? I would assume that it won't be till early summer next year. Hope you enjoy lunch and the concert.

Skystar - don't tell me you were having dinner at the Cafe Shebab???? :rotfl:

Hope everyone has a great weekend.

    :hello: Goooooood Morning :D:D:D:D

Snowy - good luck with the Christmas Cake :D

Aussielass - :T :T Great news on your computer, that was a bargain!

kyle - ((hugs)) hope you and the children feel better very soon.
:T Congrats on your bread :D:D:D

tired mum - hope it's 3rd time lucky for you with your repairs!

twink - ((hugs)) hope you feel better soon and manage to catch up with some rest before your visitors and planned bootfair.

annie - oh dear! :( Sounds like you need to take yourself back to bed ((hugs)) wishing you a speedy recovery.

It's not raining here at the moment so I'm hoping to get the last of the backlog of laundry done. Boys have footie practise today but at least now they have it at the same time rather than staggered which helps timewise.

Looking through some craft books yesterday evening for ideas to make for Christmas, mind overload  There's a lovely little craft shop near to the footie field, so I'm going to take a gander in there and pick up some bits; hopefully I'll get some crafting time sometime over the weekend. Signed up for an ornament exchange so I need to make time to do that.

I'd actually forgotten it's a bank holiday weekend :o Haven't planned any outings, we'll just go with the flow.

    B: Porridge
L: HM Vegetable Soup with bread
D: Tuna steaks with new potatoes and veggies.

Inbetween doing the roof yesterday, I made two loaves: Cottage Cheese, Rosemary and Sultana (lovely!), and then an olive bread (gorgeous!). Sliced up and froze them ready for packed lunches when the hols are over; today, I'm going to use the BM for making some cakes to slice up and put away too. My goal is to bake 2 (time/commitments allowing)

Have a good Saturday everyone, enjoy your BH weekend :D

    Good Morning everyone
Yesterday I had my DW, WM hall and living room done by 8am, children didn't even stir, listed loads on ebay, took the children swimming, started my tinkeruk stylee master todo list, applied for a job (another story) made OS style Chicken Chow Mein (too many noodles though) and still haven't done the ironing.............
One more cup and then I'll start it honest.
Hope you all have a good day, hugs to all

Wow what a short list today! I suppose everyone is in bed enjoying a Bank Holiday lie-in. Well, I'm waiting for 9am when I can hand over to my relief. Then I'm going to change back into my jammies. OH wants to go for a walk down to the beach with the dog today....
I've finished the cross stitch I was doing last week, now I'm going to set up for a round robin I'm doing, and start on a couple of scenes for Christmas presents. Still have to look around for baking sheets.

I had a lovely time with Kiefer last night :D until the last three minutes of the last hour... then the computer decided it didn't like the DVD and spat it out. Had to go and hijack the TV. OH not amused!!!

Have a good day everyone, hi to anyone I've cross-posted with and who comes later and ((((hugs)))) to anyone who needs one.

Hi, Queenie! How are your quail? Still getting eggs?

Oooh yes indeedy :D Two per day. Used up some of my stash of eggs from the fridge for one of my loaves so I've had a quiet word in their ears to thank them and asked that they keep up the good work ;):D

I've been so busy doing their laundry for their week away, I can't find any clean knickers for me  It'll just have to be the skimpy lacy ones gathering dust at the back of the drawer :rotfl: :rotfl:
