Morning All, not much to say except a cheery hello. My head is still "Stupefied Slug Woman" 's head, (My alter-ego has really dug her heels in) so I can do little but slurp tea and read the screen. Today's weather is gorgeous so far with a slight chill to it. D.S. managed to spatter the whole kitchen after I'd brought it up to scratch yesterday, so I've stacked up his washing up, and gone round the surfaces with cloth & spray (made up from a dilute mix from our gallon of all purpose cleaner from Costco), now I need to break the good news to him about his washing up heap.

Call me shallow (I so am) but I derived great pleasure from two new purchases yesterday. Our combination oven spewed out smoke last week, we took it back to blessed Costco (three years after purchase mind) and they gave us our money back, so yesterday after a week deprived of microwave (Back to O.S. methods of reheating D.S.'s meals) we bought a Samsung Smart Oven which was coupled with a Samsung vacuum cleaner for some reason. The Oven is all sparkley & goes beep, and the vacuum Lifted the bedroom carpet. So I'm a happy vaccing cooking bunny at the moment. Like I said, shallow.

How sad is this, finally managed to track down my first ever bottle of stardrops last night I was so excited. DH just said I was sad  So the question is now I've got it, what can I use it for?

Nothing much going on with me today. My mum's already called this morning as her and my dad are going away on holiday today and my selfish sister has managed to upset everyone already

My mum has stocked the house with basics to cover her whilst they're away and my sister has had the cheek this morning to tell my mother that her and her boyfriend! won't be staying there whilst she's away as they can't afford to buy there own food

I wouldn't mind but as my mum said she pays £25 a week rent and that includes eveything and my sister expects this to cover her and her boyfriend living there (even though he should be living there - he has his own bl**dy house!) and eating them out of house and home! My sister keeps threatening to move out and I've said to my mum this morning when she comes back the threats stop and she should be kicked out and if she can find anywhere to live all in for £25 a week then she's a better person than me!

Anyway - nothing planned for the weekend apart from working through my huge to do list, but I do have loads of questions that need answering so no doubt I'll be back later :D

Take or leave the :grouphug: as needed

LOL, thanks Topher, it definitely feels like that this morning.

I meant to ask did anyone see the programme Tightwads last night. Trust BBC to go over the top, there was something seriously wrong with these people and most of them needed therapy. The guy with the poor long suffering girlfriend seemed so angry about life even though he had thousands in the bank! And that poor boy, he wasn't a tightwad, he just feared letting go of anything after being in foster care.

Wish they'd bring back Scrimpers, that was a decent programme!

    Morning All,

A quick one before I have to dash out the door for the day. I have toddler group to set up today which will be good for the kids, run off some of their seemingly endless energy. After that we are off to a friends house for lunch which will be lovely. I am taking her a loaf that had made last night in the BM. I bit of an experiment TBH but it has turned out lovely. I made recipe for sundried tomato and basil bread, except I didnt have either sundried toms or bazil! So instead I chucked in the chpped flesh (no seeds) of one tomato and a handful of chopped red pepper, small handful of grated cheese and 1.5tsp dried mixed herbs. Turned out LOVELY (its pink due to the tom puree) and after a wee taste.........its DELISH too so will be making this again, will be nice with soup me thinks.

KYLE - How exciting to be going to florida!! Must ffel good to be able to pay the deposit off today.

AGEANDJO - Hugs for your sister hun. It stinks being so far away when all you want to do is give them a cuddle isnt it? My little sister has been through some crap in the last 24 months (marrige/divorce/finding a grilfriend/spliting from girlfriend/now big time depressed) and I would love to give her a cuddle.

AMANDA666 - Well done on the first of your draught excluders.

ELONA - Thinking of you and DH, you have had an awful lot to deal with of late.

TIREDMUM - 12_6_16.gif for your interview later on.

SCUZZ - Thanks for the reminder about the QVC xmas day, I've never watched QVC and hope to catch some of it later on.

PENELOPE PENGUIN - I always find a good album on as loud as poss works better than anything for getting work done. Makes it more enjoyable and time seems to fly!

POPPYCRACKER - OUCH! I need to find a dentist too, we moved 3 months ago and havent registered with one yet.

TOPHER - FANTASTIC deal you got with the oven, well done!

Off for a quick shower then dressing everyone and out the door

    Have a good day all,
    Al.

    Good morning everyone,

Well, im up, and i have a cup of tea, and ive read todays threads so far, but can i rememeber anything!!!! NO!!!! Never mind, (((HUGS))) to anyone who needs or wants one!!!

Was expecting it to be nice and sunny today, but its all cloudy instead, but i think i will still take the children down to Looe, we havnt done much these holidays (no money being one of the reasons, the weather being the other!!!) and apart from Monday, this is my last day off before i start work again, mind you i need to earn some money (i dont get paid when i dont work) so that is definatly needed!!

Kyle, i think it was you who is paying for their Florida holiday today, we went in June and it was WONDERFUL!!! so much so, we are not having holidays again and saving to go again ASAP!!!!

Right, better go and get showered and dressed, and hopefully the rain will stay away so we can go to the beach!!!!

    Have a lovely day,
    Take care xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

    Goodmorning everybody,

I've been feeling a bit icky today. Before anyone asks NO I am not pregnant. :D I think my kids would disown me. I won my shower cabinet on Ebay :j It was a fight to the end but I just got in. Pick it up on Tuesday. I also scored a great vanity from a plumbing supply place. Flair which is a good brand have gone broke so they were selling all their stock for less than half price. Like all good little money savers they said the magic word and I went galloping in. It's a real bargain. Now to the down side, the steel won't be ready until Sept 18th  which is a bit longer than we anticipated.

We pick up the kitchen and other stuff on Sunday.

Ageandjo BIL sounds odd. There are telephone lines here that your sister can call if she needs to talk to someone. I'm a mine of information aren't I  but I don't know what they call themselves.

PPen Wait till the summer is upon us. I will be whinging every day. Be prepared as we are in for a hot & dry one.

Tinker We can't get Stardrops here either. :D I've already done the big search. :rotfl: along with the ***** Pads ;)

Lucie Hope you get a nice cut. My hair needs some tlc as well but will have to wait for a bit.

Stressed I've got my fingers crossed for your dad too.

I better go and do the veggies. I've made a spinach quiche tonight. Have a great day everyone and will pop back later. Byeeeeeeeeeee
Don't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia. ;)

I am just wondering where I could put it?!?

When I was 15 I went on a school exchange to a house in Germany and they had a sauna. I didn't want to come home :D
