Essex girl
Thanks for the compliment but you would laugh if you could see me . I am sitting here in my pyjamas slurping tea!! Usually the most disorganised and untidy person imaginable lol
Plumber is coming round at 9.30 to fix bathroom tap so need to get dressed soon.
DH is listening to the radio before he sets off.
School starts on the 5th and must see if DD (12) needs new stuff. With all the family illness etc I have not even thought about it."This site is addictive!"

Hi, everyone! I'm at w*** again today, and DH is taking children to get shoes, then going fishing (DD's choice). No-one else in the office yet (I'm the only lark around here, surrounded by night owls). I have Robbie Williams' Swing album on v loud, and getting loads of work done.
Lovely evening yesterday with some friends (he was at school with DH - the only friend we have going back that far. They stayed up drinking whisky, and I retired to catch up on the last 2 days threads.
Kiwi, many thanks for your kind comments on Wed evening! Much apprecieted, hun.
Mr Shez - nearly crashed my car on way to w***, listening to a recording of yesterday's Archers. What a misunderstanding!
Hi Shez! Don't be too hard on yourself. Periods of self doubt are perfectly natural.
Annie, glad you enjoyed York. How was the wheel? We've not been yet.
Moggins - daps, what a great word! Had some friends from Bristol over last weekend, and they filled me in. We call them pumps.
Kaz, how's things. I'll be in touch again later.
Prinny - stick around here ; we won't forget your birthday. :bdaycake:  Have these to be going on with, and make today your un-birthday!
Lillibet - your house clearance sounds marvellous. I love old houses and old furniture. Bathroom cabinet will be very impressive.
Aussie, loved your comments about the weather. You know us Brits, we love talking about it, and are happiest when we can complain about it being wrong. :rotfl: :rotfl:
Queenie, any news on your quail? My little girls are about 10 weeks old now, and as big as my "big girls".
I'll catch up later. Hugs to all of you!

Morning everyone
Have a delivery coming today between 8 and 3 so will be staying in for that. Still have some housework from yesterday to finish. Bathroom is first on list. Anytime I went to do it yesterday it was like a blooming sauna as it was really warm here
Really need to get some ironing done as well. That has been on the agenda for every night this week but I have been feeling so pooped after work it hasn't got done
Ventured to another board last night but it wasn't very nice. Much prefer it over here
Hubby might be finishing work early today. He never knows in advance though - I usually get a phone call to pick him up or he just appears home.
Just getting ready to phone Nectar. Have some missing points that I phoned them about last week and was assured they would be added in 2 days. Surprise surprise I have to chase it up. Grrrrrrr!!!
Have a great start to the weekend folks0 -
good morning all.
It's Friday!:D
Going to order a replacement blade for the breadmaker (think the old one hit the bin inside a half eaten loaf) then we should have loads of home made carbs to keep us happy.
Off to the office one I've hung the washing out. Please may it not rain today!
Take care all.

Essex-girl - that sounds like my recipe for meatballs tooYou're all making me drool talking about food this time of the day!
Scuzz - 4am....are you mad????? lol I know about shifts though, I used to start work at 7am 10 miles away.
Pen-Pen isn't it great when you can get on with work without interruptions! You'll be finished and home early at this rate
Good luck with Nectar skystar, isn't it annoying when you have to remind someone to do their job properly.
I'm off for my break tomorrow so I don't think I'm going to get much done today. Must put a wash on when OH wakes up so I can steal his shirt. He's been sleeping in it for days, mucky object!
Have toothache still, might have to bite the bullet and find a dentist, even if I can't afford the work that I know they'll say needs doing. But that's my moan over for the day. Can't wait to settle down with Kiefer Sutherland tonight.

i probably should do some kinda hoovering or summit, esp cause a friend is coming round for drinks tomo before we go out, but seeing the mess her house always is i don't mind mine just needing a hoover

Morning everyone, lovely to read you all again - have not had access t'internet for a few days (they are clamping down on access at w**k). It was v stressful not to read and keep up! Will read through as much as aI can,
Sorry to hear about your sis' problems in Oz Ageandjo - that form of abuse (emotional) is particulalry nasty I think. Whilst the best way of dealing with it is not to show a response, this is very hard to do when your nerves are already fried, and the perpetrator then tries something even nastier to provoke a response and so on. Send her our hugs.
Elona - you are very positive! Sorry to hear about your DH uncle.
Have lots to do today - home baking!! Who-hoo, love that, very therapeutic, saves money and we eat well. Washing going out soon, grass to cut, BM on the whirr.... Oh, I LOVE my days off.
Have a lovely sunny start to a cracking BH weekend!! See you around

Good morning everyone :j
There is a definate autumnal feel to the day  I wonder how I'm going to get on with my quest not to turn the heating on till October
It's officially the last day of my holiday - so at least there's a bank holiday weekend to cheer me up
Hopefully my Dad will be out of hospital today - fingers x'd.

(((((hugs))))) to allSquares knitted for my throw ~ 90 (yes!!! I have finally finished it :rotfl: )Squares made for my patchwork quilt ~ 80 (only the "actual" quilting to do now :rotfl:)0 -
Quick skim of the thread while I drink my :coffee: before I head off to the hairdressers. This having-short-hair lark is no good - it needs cutting too often!
Lovely Sunny day here in Lancashire, we're hoping for a BBQ later, but I'm not sure the sun will last til 6 o'clock.
After the hair-chop it's into Manchester to do a site visit (only one today), quick dash into M&S to spend my &more reward points that came this week, over to Burnley to pick up my car & then it's gym time.
elona - (hugs). You sound like you're keeping busy
Moggins - well done on the freebie X box
ageandjo - your poor sis, he sounds like...well, a bit of a nutter if I'm being honest. But alcoholism is an illness, and like everything else, needs treatment.
Scuzz - me & a friend went into the QVC outlet shop the other day - what a hoot! They sell some terrible junk. Luckily for you it's in Warrington, so will be pretty easy to keep your Mum away!
skystar - that bugs me with nectar points too - I never seem to get the "bonus" points. They always say "they take 2 weeks to be added", but they never appear.
 hello to everyone else, & welcome to all the newbies.
Catch you later0 -
Morning all
ageandjo, I feel sorry for your sister, my XDH kept me awake after I'd had our baby. I lived like a zombie and he still expected me to drive him everywhere. It's a horrible way to live and she really ought to get in touch with Womens Aid.
elona good luck with finding a lovely house, you deserve some happiness with all this rotten stuff going on.
I was definitely not reading properly this morning, I thought Skystar was getting a sauna delivered
Just off to take the oldies shopping in a minute, I haven't quite figured out how I am going to change gear with this hand but I'm sure I'll manage! Just one more week until the kids go back to school, I can't believe it's gone this quickly. School holidays used to last forever when I was littleNever mind, I'm really looking forward to a September Flylady Challenge when I can put the house back to rights.
I read the Tesco mega reductions thread last night, so I'm off today to see if I can find any bargains to put aside for christmasOrganised people are just too lazy to look for things
