Great news BRzl:j
Love the Avatar Penny.
Welcome Welshlassie - I haven't been here that long myself but everyone is very welcoming.
Cooltrikerchick - DH is a bit bemused by OS I think, although more by Flylady, however he does now help every night before bed to get the kitchen clean and tidy and the sink shiny, even if he thinks I'm crackers.0 -
:T Well done Kaz! That took a lot of courage and I am sure you will get a lot of very good and helpful advice. You have taken the first step - now give yourself a pat on the back and one of those lovely welshcakes!

Hi everyone!
Back to work today and those big grown up full time hours:sad:!
Am thinking of you Elona and what a difficult day for you. Hugs
Not too much planned for today as am still washing for England. The ironing fairy has passed me by again and the ironing basket seems to have magically refilled itself since yesterday. Looks like that might need some attention tonight. Am also hoping to get back to my OS file which I am halfway through organising now. We actually used it yesterday to look up how to clear whiffy drains. OH looked at me and said "Vinegar" rolling his eyes!! He'd be right and guess what one dose of vinegar and bicarb later it's sorted!
If the rain holds off after work I hope to do a quick spot of blackberrying with the small person. Has anyone seen Moggin's recipe for blackberry ketchup? I know she's cut her finger so may well not be up to typing at the mo but if she has and I've missed it please could someone point this blond Essex girl in the right direction as it sounded intriguing!! Perhaps it would be worth freezing the blackberries in the interim. Am hoping [time permitting] to also get some sloe gin or vodka on the go and make some elderberry jam. I noticed that the haws are also ready and you can make brandy or chutney from them if anyone is so inclined [not me as don't like the flavour]

Thanks everyone. I'm having another of my 'gobbel-de-gook' moments, so I'm going to do exactly as Catz ordered and treat myself to some welshcakes. I can allways make some more for the freezer - and boy do I need something sweet right now! I even had to tell my DS3 to eat his choccie bar in the cupboard as I knew it wasn't safe!!!January '06 Grocery Challenge (4th - 31st) £320.Week 1 - £73.99 Week 2 £5.10 (so far

COOLTRIKERCHICK wrote:does your other half and family think you've gone bonkers ?......
in the begining.. when he came home from work he used to ask me what had i done wrong..... or what did i want
so when you started....reading and doing the things on os... what type of re-actions did you get from yuor oh....and family/friends...?
hope i'm not the only one that had confused reaction from oh....:p
No, you're not the only one!!!!
Trouble is, I tend to do these things in bursts: eg I will do a whole load of cleaning & get everything in order & then I get the "what's wrong/what do you want" remarks, then when I get a bit lax & things begin to look a bit less organised (tho not as bad as they were in the past!!) I get "What happened to the flylady/anthea turner (delete as appropriate) phase?" or something similar. I can't win!!!!!
But he's very sweet really - and in his job he goes into a lot of houses that make ours look like a palace & my debatable cleaning skills look brilliant! Some he has to wipe his feet on the way out! So I think he knows where he's well off!!!!!0
