I know that you cannot put glass on a wall but I think that plants that have pickly edges like a holly type thingy are all right from the point of view of deterring intruders.

Thanks everyone for all the good wishes - hugs!:A

this is my DH reference to some of u on here:

penpen - chook lady - wants to know why yr name is penelope penguin and nothing to do with chickens?

and thats it so far, he's working his way round you all!

Hi, Mr Shez. Do you have another name you'd like to share with us all? And an avatar?

As for Penelope Penguin, my name isn't really Penelope, either! :rotfl: When I started on here I was involved in an environmental action group (still am, btw) and was often dressing in a penguin suit, to get in the papers, and bring attention to global warming, and the melting of habitats, including those of penguins. My friend was Paul R. Bear. :rotfl:

    I've updated my avatar!

I've been lurking on this thread each day for a while, you all look like you have alot of fun so if its alright I'd like to join you.

So what have I done today.
Up with DH, emptied DW and reloaded, did remainder of Washing up, had breakfast reading MSE.
Started work (work from home 3 days a week) then lunchtime went to feed my friends cats who are away for a few weeks.
Searched for (and think I have found) a new car, we're going to see it later and now just had lunch.
Am running an online training course at 2pm so need to clear my inbox before that.
Happy Birthday Catznine - have a fab day.

Hi to everyone else. Hopefully I will catch up who you all are and what you're up to over the next few days.

Dorry - I understand that payplan is a company that helps you with debt problems. I thought they allocated an advisor and helped you with contacting the companies etc.
BargainRzl - that's excellent new about the valuation, I'm well chuffed for you.
Welshlassie - welcome to the OS board. I'm sure you'll love it here.

    Hi again

thanks so much for all the hugs... I am still really angry with OH and have hardly spoken to him. I just feel like I'm coming to the end of my emotional strength with him.

Kaz, I went and read your post on the DFW board and just wanted to say WELL DONE for being so brave! :T

does your other half and family think you've gone bonkers ?......

since i have started reading.... and doing the things that have been posted on the os section of mse....my hubby thinks that i have gone a bit doolally...
(i'm sure he had the straight jacket ready for me )

as before.. i am sure i had an allergy to cleaning.....as i never done any ..well just enough..... but now with all the inspiring posts......

i am now actually INJOYING...YES...THAT RIGHT...INJOYING...... cleaning and cooking........

in the begining.. when he came home from work he used to ask me what had i done wrong..... or what did i want...( as if i would sweeten him up to say yes to something :D ).....

it is right what they say ..... a tidy house....a tidy mind...... or something like that.... what i think i am trying to say if the house is disorganised so will you be in organising in your finances ...decission making etc......and its right in my case.....

so when you started....reading and doing the things on os... what type of re-actions did you get from yuor oh....and family/friends...?

hope i'm not the only one that had confused reaction from oh....:p
