Morning everyone!
Just a quickish one before I get on me and out the door for w***.
Happy Birthday to Catznine. Have a fantastic day!
PenPen....no, it's not a holiday here today - I was trying to be optimistic in yesterday's thread reminding myself that it's only a week until the next one. What a shame it's the last one until Christmas:eek:
Churchmouse...I am impressed that you have the inclination to go to the gym so early in the day. I've only managed to go once in the morning in my entire life and that was because the clocks changed and so there was a sneaky extra hour in bed anyway, but never again!
No more putting off...I really have to go to the office now..._pale_:sad:0 -
Morning
Feeling lousy this morning, spent the night on the floor of the spare room because I threw a glass at OH last night (didn't hit him, I don't throw that well!). I can't stand him! I know he's got problems but he wont do a damn thing about them and he's expecting me to pick up the pieces every time he has a tantrum. But when he goads me into having a tantrum he feels he can sit back and smirk and say 'You need to grow up girl'. I NEED TO GROW UP????????????    ARGH!
*deep breath* So, I thought I'd come on here and vent (sorry about that) before I have to go to work.
Anyway:
good luck at the gym Churchmouse
hope you feel better later on ageandjo

I spent the weekend at the V festival driving casulties about in ambulances. Everyone was fairly safe however and we didn't have nearly as many as we've had in previous years. I even fell asleep waiting for new calls at one point!
Apart from that nothing but sleeping was on the cards!
Tonight I'm planning to make a bunch of home made soups to freeze in handy day packs for my lunch. This morning however I was too tired from the ambulance runs to cook anything so I guess I'll be on bought sandwiches :- (Tim0 -

We had a lovely day at the in-laws but I now have a bit of a problem and am typing onehanded. I helped MIL with lunch and the knife slipped. It was a brand new serrated chefs knife and it went straight through the palm of my left hand. It's proving more of a problem than I thought it would do
Moggins - hope your hand is feeling better - it made me chuckle though - DH was chiselling out a door for our lounge and chiselled his hand - I told him to wait there and rushed into the kitchen for a cloth...... to wipe the blood off my new cream leather sofas :rotfl:Squares knitted for my throw ~ 90 (yes!!! Morning.
I'm feeling inspired today. Don't know if it was Anthea, you lot, or just because i only have one useful week of the hols left.
I've already stripped the bed and the WM has finished. Think i will have to put it in the TD though  as i want to go out and don't think it will stay dry. I've got a plan of attack, which involves doing some jobs here while i wait for a woolies delivery, then visiting my parents to organise them some more. (While we were there yesterday, DH brushed all 3 dogs, and i helped my sister make up the beds and clean out the kitchen cupboard.) It's really hard for mum to keep on top of stuff with working, and dad being in a wheelchair. My two sisters are going to be joining in with this mini fly-lady challenge.
Right, no time for gas bagging this morning. Will catch up with all of you this evening and let you know what i have achieved.

Good morning everyone,
HAPPY BIRTHDAY CATZNINE
Elona, our thoughts are with you today xxx
Havnt read all the thread yet, but did notice that Shez is on the first page, so well done you!!!!!!
Nothing much planned for today, other than cleaning, ive had another lovely lie - in, and DD brought me up a cup of tea which was lovely!! I do need to chase up DSs birthday party next month, he wants it at Plymouth Argyle but they still havnt rung me back so want to get that sorted. DD was invited to a birthday cinema trip, but the mum still hasnt rung back to confirm, ive tried ringing, and we popped around yesterday but nothing. I hate it when things like that happen, especially as i asked DD if she wanted to go and she spent ages making her friend a birthday card.
Right, better go and get dressed, then im going to read the thread, thats the trouble now im getting up later, theres more to read when i first get up!!!!
Hope everyone has a lovely day
Take care xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx0 -
Morning all!
Although some of you have been up for hours.....must seem more like afternoon;) !
OH has been helping clear his late dads house of about 8 years accumulated elderly batchelordom before it can be sold so I had to do the Karate shuttle run on Saturday.
I gave OH some money to take DD shopping for some clothes last week and they came back with bags full! Good thing they are trained in charity shopping and bargain hunting. He thinks I am Mrs money bags at present as I have been spending some of my carefully squandered savings
The garden has been producing tomatoes and potatoes for the last couple of months with me having to do very little to it in return, watering is about it and the occasional hoe.So glad I decided to get it dug and planted this last year.
PP What a rotten individual she must be and well done on telling her how it is!0 -
morning all,
bigs hugs to elona, there isn't really anything else i can say darling, but i'm thinking of you and yours today x
well a rather early day for me (for a day off) up and in the shower at 8. had the doctors. she has advised a full blood test to check my thyroid as well as for aneamia, diebetes etc so i made an appointment to be drained tomorrow, and i'll see her again next week for the results an another chat. the good news is she doesnt want to put me on medication yet :j i so didn't want her to start stuffing me with prozac just yet! but she also said i need to go out with my friends more and have more fun. so i'm thinking a trip to the cinema today rather than all the painting i had planned for today, i can do some of it later.
so new plan of action for today, go to cinema and (possibly) to gym for a swim. finish xmas tree for mum which was abandoned last night (i'm really struggling for enthusiasm for anything atm), i did however make myself a new bag for the gym, it's purple and black snakeprint on velour with purple satin lining! so wasted on the gym! :rotfl: then when i come home i'll get some of the painting done, was going to do the windowsill's outside, but think the rain is coming againit was lovely and sunny when i went to the docs, but with clouds in all directions!
anyway, i'm rambling now, hope you have a good day all, and hugs to those who don't
