AussieLass know where you're coming from taxwise! DH said only this morning " Have we done my taxform yet?" WE? where's he coming from with we? One day I'm going to fill it all in wrong and then he'll get done!!!:rotfl: :rotfl: He never reads it before he signs on the dotted line.... in fact when he worked away from home I used to forge his signature:rotfl:
Sorry you can't get a pukka pad, they really are fun (well the project one is!)
Isn't someone emigrating to Oz in the next couple of weeks? Can't we persuade her to bring you one?? Sort of like hands across the ocean thingy!!:rotfl: :rotfl:You never get a second chance to make a first impression.0 -

What a frustrating day....I decided to brave the garages to look for a full gas cylinder which will accept my gas fitting. The teenage shop assistants all look at me like I am a right dopey mare when I say I can't get the thingy to attach. When I ask if they come in more than one type of nozzle the response is invariably "dunno". One of the garages I went to made me pay then hang around out the back in the rain waiting for someone to come and get a cylinder for me...then the bloke announced they had no full ones...:mad:. So I am home now, with no gas and therefore no working hob. I'll have to waste my lunchbreak tomorrow going to the main bottled gas dealer in town as they were the ones who fitted my hob and supplied my fitting. They shut at five, how useful NOT!!!
Yes the gas bottles have different nozzles. See here.
I am a supervisor in a petrol station, and have read the calor gas manaual and seen the training video, but don't have a clue which gas bottle goes with which appliance. We don't get told, and there are hundreds out there. All we get shown is how to store the bottles safely. We do have a helpline number to give to customers though who have questions.
Find out which bottles you can use from your dealer, then next time you can get them from the supermarket garage as they are much cheaper. Sorry I can't be more help.0 -
Kiwichick and Kazonline - I've posted the Mocha Squares recipe on a new thread. I know that by Tuesday mine will be reduced to a few crumbs in the tin, DS eats them by the handful.:rolleyes:0

Feel a tad sniffely this morning
We didn't do a great deal over the weekend, Saturday went to Currys to buy a DAB digital radio that was half price when I went to pay for it the lady on the counter said "did you know the recption is near on zero alonf the coast" Needless to say I put it back:o
Went out to dinner saturday evening which was nice and noticed that in the week at this place they do 2 for £10 meals:T will be going there at some point.
Yesterday I went to Tesco and spent £58 on lots of veg and ingredients that should last me a while, I made catowens muffins :T :T they turned out ok ish, Why is it when someone else cooks it always tastes nicer? and I made some cheese straws but we ate them straight away:D
I have a huge joint of beef in the SC and will have that tonight.
Raining here again I havent had to water my hanging baskets for ages now:T I feel summer is over but autum isnt here yet IYCSWIMI love winter clothes rather than summer clothes, boots and snug jumpers etc.... oh how sad I am:D
Hope everyone is well, I'm off for a browse and drink my tea

Good morning everyone
Hi Churchmouse & ageandjo
Happy birthday Catznine
and hello to all to come and whoever crossposts with me!
Busy week this week, as we have a kids Holiday Club at church from tomorrow. Today is setting everything up and delivering invitations to the children. So I shan't be joining in any seriously hard work flylady challenges this week! On the other hand, will be doing 15 minute clean ups, trying to keep sink clear & generally making sure the place doesn't end up as a tip!
Have a good day!0 -
Morning Churchmouse , ageandjo and all who follow :hello:
Not the bestest weekend here either , although Sunday was a definate improvement on Saturday
Off to w**k in a mo, just trying to see if I can manage a plan of attack for the week first. It's payday on Friday and I could do with a really cheap week till then - am hoping that this will encourage me to make a bit more use of my of cheap gym membership......... I was going well in the first 2 weeks but OH mutters everytime I attempt to go
Well, I made weetabix cakes and brownies on Sa urday, the brownies were okish but the cake was a disaster, I am going to try my HM youghurt for breakfast.
:grouphug: to all today, esp elona.
PP - I hope you sort out the cleaner, the cheek on her
Queenie - I hope you are ok, it seems different without you on here daily
Have fun
X

Good Morning All
Churchmouse good on you for the getting to the gym so early, my daily work out usually consists of standing on a piece of lego or a toy car and then hopping about in pain, or a hundred trips upstairs/downstairs while trying to get into my flylady routine lol !
AgeandJo, I love the summer but I am so with you on the winter snuggle jumper front !
My attempts at baking were not so good yesterday, roast chicken with the lot and cauliflower cheese were perfect (even if I say so myself) but cookies were so-so and a simple chocolate crackles was a disaster, is there really any need for syrup or marge ? I am however the proud owner of an empty ironing basket ! Thanks to Simon Cowell and those brave audtionees (?) it was almost a pleasure.
Today I'm going to ebay every book and piece of software that's been ignored over the last 10 years !
Tea anyone?
