    Hi All,

Am in frantic mode here, I have a load of blood tests at 9am tomorrow for which I have all the vials/needles etc. I can't find them!!! Its for the Anthony Nolan Bone Marrow Trust, they send the needles etc to you with a letter for you to take into the doc. I feel really strongly about having it done and absolutely HAVE to find them before tomorrow. At least the house is having a good clean while I'm hunting.

This morning I had a bit of a cooking marathon and made 3 dozen choc chip muffins, a vat of pumpkin soup, 2 dozen bread rolls and cooked the beef while the oven was on. HUNGRY now, have had a bread roll, a muffin and some corn on the cob. Am now having a coffee, got to behave food wise for the rest of the day though as its weigh in tomorrow night.

I've been sorting through the present box and am pleasently suprised to find that I have got DD, DSD and my mum completely sorted for xmas :T. I have a couple of bits for DH, pamper baskets for 2 friends and a little something for DDs teacher. I have nothing for DD2 or DS, my 3 nieces or MIL. Also seem to have enough cards for the next century, wrapping paper and crackers also sorted.

DH has just set up the ironing board which is nice as it means hes doing the ironing today:D. No idea what I'm making for tea, the kids with be having chicken and broccoli with gravy. No doubt DH will ask for something complicated, reckon hes getting a salad and a burger so there :p.

PP - I'm with the others on this one, get rid of the cleaner, you can't trust her so there is no way you ought to have her in your house. HUGE congrats on your essay grade, its fantastic.

Oh dear, its 4.10 and DD had just fallen asleep on me, during her fave tv show too so she must need it, I'm in for a crap night now! Off to drink that coffee now while its still warm.

    Enjoy your evenings people,
    Kiwi.

    I've been Money Tipped!
    Hello!:hello:

Still recovering from the party on Friday! 30 people turned up which is a lot more than I expected! Kept us busy at the barbecue though! I definately bought too much food :o but at least I haven't had to cook anything since and the freezer is also well stocked now :D The cake from Costcos was lovely, very chocolately and beautifully iced with red and yellow roses and all for £10 :T a bargain! The burgers, very large and £5.99 for 8 went well too.

I have been so very spoiled and have a goodly supply of chocolate, red wine and champagne in and am being taken out tomorrow night in London, no idea where though! lots of secret conversations going on in the family!

Ivyleaf - Congratulations! So pleased to hear about the arrival of your Grandson! :T

TM - Belated birthday wishes, hope you had a lovely time

Elona - Will be thinking of you tomorrow and will say a prayer for you all.

Kaz - Hope you enjoyed the boot sale!

Kiwichick - I am very impressed with all that cooking you managed today, hope you find the needles, you are a very special person to be doing the tests.
PP - Good luck re the cleaner! and well done on your grade! :T

  • Afternoon all.

Hugs and congratulations to all who need them.

A very productive day today. Went to nan's house (yes still clearing it) and had a knock on the door. A young polish lad asked if he could have the tv that was in the skip, so said yes, then thought I'd ask him if he wanted any furniture. So in the end him and his mates went away with, a double bed base, 3 chest of drawers, a dressing table and a wardrobe!!!!:T

So that was brilliant. The upstairs is now empty and been cleaned, and also have a cash buyer who is confirming tonight.

Other than 4 hours of cleaning and emptying, we took DD to the park for an hour for a break and just having a snack for tea as I think I have eaten so much dust today.

    Have a good evening all.

    Hello all:hello:

Not had a lot of time for posting or even reading last few days, but have kept as up to date as I can!:o

Smashing Blouse that was a bit of a result with the furniture, well done:T Good that it was someone prepared to ask for the TV rather than just take, but his honesty has been rewarded! Bet you're pleased with all you've got done, have a relaxing evening, you've really earned it:D Maybe even7_4_33.gif

Elona will be thinking of you tomorrow (((hugs))). In my thoughts and prayers.

Catznine you've certainly had a good last couple of days and carrying on tomorrow! How exciting, wonder what they've got planned for you!! We'll all be waiting, but probably won't find out until Tuesday! Whatever, have a lovely time:D

Kiwichick hope you find the needles before you've searched the whole house!! You've already done so much today, you put me to shame but I have made nearly 3 dozen welshcakes!!!

Did you read that Kaz? 3 dozen lovely welshcakes that are down to 26 already!! DH and DS3 are home, I've only eaten 2. Well had to check them out, didn't I? Hope you've had a good day, and try not to let your finances stress you out too much.(((hugs)))) Glad you had such a good day with moggins and her children.

Damn we've just had some visitors (unexpected) turn up. Will have to get off for a bit, am telling them I have to finish this!!

Hope you all have good evenings.

You never get a second chance to make a first impression.

Hi everyone! I've read all the posts but will be here all day if I say helo to everyone individually, so an extra special wave to everyone who's not written to below 15_1_70v.gif
FrugalJo - I hope you found the bottom of the ironing piles (or did you opt for baking instead :D)
Penny pincher - congratulations on your essay, that is a fantastic result. Good luck with tackling the cleaner.
Churchmouse - how's the flyladying going? Well done on the welsh cakes. I've still got about 3 parcels of a dozen frozen in the freezer - that 50 I thought I made the other day turned out to be 70! I used a slightly smaller cutter and made 4x the normal batch. When Moggins and I were looking around some of the old houses we saw quite a few old 'llechwen's (griddlestones) next to fires. Unfortunatley just a tad to heavy to hide under our jackets ;)
Catowen - hope you're enjoying a well earned rest.
Tootles - I hope you're making sure that you have plenty to drink today. You're probably exhausted and possibly a little dehydraed from your busy day yesterday. (hugs) to you.
Snowy - That's the worst bit with paperwork, very little 'visual' reward for the time etc it takes - and before you know it postie is back with more. Good on you for making a start on it. RE the gas canister, I think that there are different fittings - but I think also that they can get damaged and be unusable. Sorry not more help.
Elona - (hugs) Your doing really well hun, but don't forget to take some time to yourself at some point.
Sophiesmum - I hope your pea and ham soup turns out better than mine did at first! Boy did I make a mess of that! Thanks to all on here I did finally rescue it tho'!
Squishy - well done on resisting eating the lasagne, hope you enjoy it today!
Joannasmum - sorry the weather was so rotten for you here :( I'll try to put in a good word for you next time!
Kyle - glad to hear that the sleeping is going well at last.
Dorry - I would so love the chance to see you cha cha with all that vino last night! Glad you had a great time.
Kiwi - hope you found those needles etc and that it goes as well as possible for you tomorrow.
Twink - I gave up waiting for the rain to stop soaking the toms and went and fed them today. Fingers crossed they'll pick up. Pulled off some of the yellowed leaves/stems. Hope that was right?
Catzine - that sounds like one heck of a party! Well done you, you must be exhausted now!
Moggins - hope you've had a lovely day at the inlaws.
Had a great time at the bootsale even though we were late getting there. I managed to find some demijohns to attempt some blackberry wine - had two plus a few wine bottles/stoppers and other bits for £1. The boys found a box of assorted action man bits and bobs for £3 and they are ecstatic (so am I as it means less Play station) and DS1 found some sega games for 50p which he is thrilled with.
We then took the dog to the beach (next to the booty) where he had a fab run - ooo, and we'd bought DS3 a bucket and spade for 20p and they made castles, moats and streams on the beach.
Well, I'd best get something ready for dinner or we'll all be late to bed again.
I hope everyone has had a great day,
    Hugs Kaz

Have only read Page 1 so far but have to say thanks for the congrats! Poor baby's got a touch of colic atm so DD is giving him Infacol - hope it helps! She only stayed in hospital 24 hours as it was so noisy and busy that she got no sleep. Her blood pressure was up, but she told them it was unlikely to go down as long as she was in there! Luckily the doctor agreed and let her go home, and the next day her BP was back to normal. She's a paediatric nurse, so at least she already knows one end of a baby from the other!:D

My brain isn't functioning today and I can't remember what anyone's said, except - Penny-Pincher - well done for the essay mark! You clever lady! And how nice of you to do a roast dinner for somone else.

Oh and Racy Red - I take it your new home is near the water! I didn't realise you were moving and wondered where you'd got to!

Catz - glad you are having such a lovely weekend!

Off now to catch up with the rest of the thread.

    best wishes

Thanks twink - you've been really helpfull with your tips and encouragement with the garden.

Ivyleaf - I'm really sorry, I had meant to say congratulations and then totally forgot. I hope you're feeling a bit better today than yesterday and that the little one is doing well. Any chance of some pics?
I read something unusual about baby colic last night too. When I was feeding my little uns I was told to steer clear of garlic - but apparently babies like garlicky milk, and it eases colic!!!
For thos who watched ex factor extra I'm guessing you'll know why I was looking up benefits of colic. For those who didn't - let's just say a lovely old gent had a rather 'unusual' use for garlic!!! ;)
