Quick question for Purple princess - I can't decide whether I should firstly do a thread to introduce myself on DFW - or whether I should start a thread with my SOA and introduce myself in that.....
Chances are it's a 'freudian' thing and I'm using it to delay facing things, so I'd really appreciate your advice on this - that way I'll have to do it
Cheers,
Kaz x
There are a few threads with guidance, I would start a thread with your SOA and introduce yourself in that!!Good luck!! x

Afternoon!!
Happy Birthday Ticklemouse
It has been one long and manic day here today. Downstairs is being plastered as we speak, so me and DH have been extreme gardening. (that means that DH has massacared all of the bushes/trees in the front garden, and started the back, all now about 1 foot high.) That should mean we don't have to really do much in the garden but a bit of weeding, so it should be much easier to manage. We found a blackberry bramble, with about 15 edible berries, so that should hopefully now prosper. It's amazing what you can find after 2 years of living in a place.
DH has done 2 trips to the tip. Luckily the new car is an estate. :rotfl:
I'm afraid i'm not fantastic help as i was a bit too fat to bend over properly, so spent most time holding a bin bag open. Luckily next door were helpful, and loaned us their leaf sucker/hoover thing, and that was really quick.
We are just waiting now for the plasterer to finish and leave, and then we will be having a massive tidy up mission. There is plaster all over the carpets, woodwork and windows. It has even trailed upstairs. hopefully that won't take all evening.
I've managed to cross quite a few things off 'the list of essential things before baby' today. Still about 190 things to do, but at least i can see the end is in sight. I can't wait till it is all done, and i can sit in peace and do my cross stitch.
hopefully tomorrow will be loads better as we won't be able to do any DIY so i guess we can get on with going to buy paint etc. If anyone wants to buy shares in B and Q, now might be a good time.
Enjoyed the piccies purpleprincess. I also would like a pair of those wellies.

Happy Birthday Ticklemouse
Good evening to everyone else.
Was at work this morning from 8 till 1. Considering I was at work had quite a good day. One of my work friends came in a bit worse for wear. We then played the "who did he go home with last night" guessing game which had us all in stitches :rotfl:
Was feeling peckish when I got home so decided to go to McDonalds. Don't go there often but really wanted some of the Coca-Cola glasses they are doing at the moment. Came away with two free meals as their card system wasn't working and I don't carry cash (they had no signs up saying it wasn't working). :j
Just mooching around now waiting for X-Factor to start. From one reality programme to another
Have opened a new savings a/c (with cashback through greasypalm). Will use it to put any greasypalm money and excess from my shopping budget. At the moment this money just seems to get "lost" and this way I know its being used for something.
Anyway, hope everyone is having a good weekend0 -
Good evening everyone,
Well, sat here on my own at the moment, DS has gone to a neighbours house and im still waiting for DD to come home from my friends house!!! DD was at friends because DS and i went to watch the football, unfortunatly they lost, but was really nice to spend some time with just DS, doesnt happen very often. Also did a mystery shop this afternoon, which took care of lunch, and still havnt had or decided what to have for dinner, but as X Factor is on in 10 minutes, will prob wait til thats finished and then have a sandwich!!!
Kaz - i think you are doing really well at the moment, you have done so much work on your house, and now you are sorting out your finances which is brilliant!!!!
Right, DD has just walked in, so better go, have a lovely evening everyone
Take care xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx0 -
Afternoon all!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY TICKLEMOUSE!
(((((HUGS))))) to everyone who's poorly or sad at the mo. Thinking especially of you ELONA.
We have a lovely new DGS! :j :j :j He was born on Wednesday (but hopefully won't be full of woe!) and his name is James. He's sooooooo sweet! Apart from our break in France, he's the only nice thing that's happened this year. I was talking to a couple of friends this morning, and we all seem to be having troubles that we can't do anything to resolve because they all depend on other people doing things! Not nice having so many stress-causing things going on that you have no control over. Still, they will be sorted eventually; meantime my brain is all over the place, you'd think I was the one who'd just given birth!:p
I think I will make a list of all the good things in my life, then maybe I'll stop feeling sorry for myself!
Best wishes
