  • Morning all! Inteneded this to be a quick look in before I go out, but already we're onto page 2....

Off into town to buy DS his PE kit. Children going swimming and I'm popping in to work, just to check on progress, and see if there are any emergencies I need to address before I start back in 2 weeks. Taking DD to "grown up" hairdresser to see about highlights. She's been done by the mobile hairdresser at our house for all her life (she's 13  ), so is very excited. :j

Bolognaise sauce on, ready for tonight, bread made, bag fro charity shop in town, bag of raffle prizes to drop with a friend, loads of Freecycling waiting for collection.

Twink, love the new haircut - it really suits you! :T

Hester, congrats on your new job. Tell me it's not cold selling double glazing.....

Kiwi, BIG HARD STARE to your OH    Hugs to you and DS. Hope you soon feel better.

Ice, great news on your continuing as SAHM! :T If you can afford it, your children will love it. I stayed at home for 12 years, and though my children asked for things we couldn'e afford, they now say that they really appreciate it.

Moggins and Kaz, enjoy your day! Moggins, you can have my mother, if you like, though she's probably a fair swap for both of your parents!

    Hi, Shez!

PP - sleepovers are called stay-up-all-night-overs, here. My DD is grumpy for days after she's stayed out, so you have my sympathy.

Essex - hope your cold gets better soon. I'll start the courgette/marrow challenge in the spring!

Elona that was kind of your GP to ring - shows that there are some GPs who are human (not my experience here).

Lillibet, do you have the link for the post you recommend?

Vicky, we've not spoken since you came back from moneyhoon! Good time had?

Have a good day to Snoozer, Jockett, Frugal Jo, Pooky, Amanda, Skystar, Chipps, Aussie, and anyone else I'e forgotten and who follows!

Will edit once I've caught up on those with whom I've cross posted!

morning all, think it'll take me a while to remember all the names lol!

kiwi i'm so sorry your wee one is poorly, his dad was so in the wrong, i hope he knows it himself. i don't see the problem with smacking naughty kids, within reason, my mum hit us when we were wee and alwasy said it hurt her more than us, but it worked and i'm not any the worse for it now. once we were old enough to understand it she took the 'i'm so disappointed in you' route. thankfully i didnt have to hear it that often.

hester, congrats on the job, i don't think i'd have the confidence for summit like that.

skystar, i'm with you on the nine to five thing. dunno what i'd do about these phonecalls if i didnt have a weekday off! does everyone else call from work???

well today i'm off to that dreaded horrible place again...:( oh well has to be done i suppose. yesterday i got my hair dyed, not as nice as i imagined but once i've set it today will see how it goes. even managed to make an interlined door curtain, means i have to redecorate the hall now!!

dont have much plans for today, going to a friends virgin vie party tonight, no intentions of buying anything, but it'll be fun to get out of the house for a bit an have a laugh.

gotta go make brekkie now, so have a good day all and big hugs to those who need them

    lyns

    Morning All

Just a quick one as I'm off to Wales withBest Friend and DD in about 1 hour, just us until the weekend and then the men our joining us. Hugs to everybody because I'm feeling that way today.

Had to tell you I've had a major breakthrough with DH, just had a txt to tell me which of the 3 local petrol stations on my way to Liverpool are the cheapest, normally he just stops at any. So it looks like I'm filling up at Tescos before we set off.

C U on Sunday or maybe Monday
    Take care everyone

    Congratulations Hester

I have a friend who is looking to do the same thing (honest) she is stuggling being a single parent with no family nearby and it would suit her personality. (that is a compliment for her!). Perhaps you could pm me some details.

    Many Thanks

    Good morning everyone,

Kiwi - (((HUGS))) to your DS and you, glad to hear DH is feeling guilty, i always found the naughty stair worked better than anything else as well. I was also smacked as a child, and although i dont think it ever did e any harm, it wasnt the way i wanted to go with my own children. I agree with Lillibet, maybe an apology would be good for both of them!!!!

Twink/Kyle - hope the results for LO will be ok today x

Kaz and Moggins - hope you have a lovely day, will look forward to hearing all about it later!!!!!

Hester - :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: i think we do need more details!!!! But well done you!!!!!

jayar - i agree, i got up and it definatly counts!!!!!!

My mind has now gone blank, so sorry ive not mentioned everyone, but hope you all have a great day!!!!

Well, no work for me today (im off until after the bank holiday HURRAH!!!) but do need to finish sorting out from our few days away and DD has her speach therapy at 11, and i also have a 'lady' doctors appointment this afternoon, shame it couldntve been nearer DDs appt, as its at the same place!!!! Never mind, both need to be done.
Was lovely this morning having a lie in, mind you, the postman knocked at 8  but i answered the door (prob gave him a nasty fright:rolleyes: ) and then went back to bed!!! Trouble is, once im up, i cant get back to sleep, which is why im up now!!!! Had planned to get up at 9, but never mind!!!!
Right, DS is struggling with the toaster, think i will go and give him a hand.

Hope everyone has a lovely day
    Take care xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
