    Good Morning everyone
Well I had my telephone interview last night & I've been accepted. I was supposed to phone them at 9pm last night, but as soon as they realised I had done this sort of work before, they rang me to offer me the job. So I won't be on line for long this morning as I'm hoping to do a couple of hours work today. The pay isn't brilliant, but I can work from home & do the hours that suit. Payday is fortnightly & any hours I do over the weekend I will get paid for on Monday.
Anyone guessed yet what I'm doing?
As to OS, I'm going to empty my penny jar as I need to buy food for my rabbit who is called Houdini & my guinea pig, called Snack. I'll make a loaf today, not much else needs doing. We have MIL & FIL visiting for lunch on Sunday I'm cooking Roast beef & all the trimmings & will probably do a blackberry & apple crumble & some Anzac biscuits.
Hope everyone has a good day.
    Hugs to all.
    Hester

Thanks for your sympathy guys, dh is feeling !!!!e and rightly so. When he came downstairs to go to work ds refused to say hello to him, hid behind mummy on the settee. Then said to me "Daddy smacked me in bed didnt he mummy and made me cry, naughty daddy". I also laid on the guilt and will continue to do so throughout the day. Serves right the great big meanie.

Why is it that he is so quick to lash out and yet he has always said he was NEVER hit/smacked as a child. Whereas me, who was routinely beaten balck and blue by both parents, NEVER smacks/hits her kids?????

Good luck to all O/S children getting their A level results today, like Snoozer, I too remember them well.

    :kisses3: for Kiwichick DS

Twink Hope the tests for DGS are normal, My dad(since age 20), eldest sister(since age 2 ) and 3rd sister(since age 28) have all being insulin dependent diabetics, I bought a blood metre and test myself and own children regularly.

Had discussion with O/H last night as DD starts school in september and thought I would be expected to get a job. Turns out hes not bothered as it would prob cause more stress during school hols finding someone to look after them and hes not keen paying someone( enough people get their hands on his money as it is)so thats a worry I won't have to think about.:j

Want to clear out the utility room today as full of junk, can hardly get to the WM and want more shelves putting up at the weekend so store my Jams and things. Gonna rumage in the cellar as I'm sure theres some more wine making equipment down there.

Right better get going, catch you later
    Take care

    Morning everyone.

Well thats my first week in my new job at work over. Been mildly stressful at times but kinda getting to grips with it.

Got some vouchers from work as an extra bonus for work done a couple of months ago so think I may treat myself to something for my holiday next month.

Off today and tomorrow and have a few things that need doing. Got a few phone calls to make that have been needing doing since start of week - it's so annoying when most companies close at 5 or 6 o'clock - I dunno how I would manage if I worked Mon-Fri!!

Going for the weekly shopping today as well. Always take my mum and the last couple of weeks it has just been an "ordeal"! I could be in and out the supermarket in about 20 mins.....we are normally there for about 2 hours!!
Then when it comes to paying she faffs about trying to work out what way to put her card in....at this point I am so frustrated I am like "the same flipping way as last week and every other week"  Anyway rant over....think its the PMT (yes I am in that gang as well)

All rooms need a going over today. Just a quick tidy and hoover should be enough. Nothing too major needs doing.

    Have a great day folks

Wonder what his parents would think? Lay on the guilt by all means but let him call himself all the names under the sun.

Seriously if he "lashes out" are you feeling safe? Big hug.

Need to whizz round house before vicar calls at 11 to discuss funeral. He is Scottish like my Dad so that is a comfort.

Got a lovely call fron Dad's g.p. yesterday to offer sympathy and to thank me for the Asiatic lillies which had just arrived for her. She kept saying that there was no need - but I pointed out that it was what my dad would have wanted as she was fantastic and we can never thank her enough for getting my dad in the hospice.

    Big hugs to everybody

I just tried to post a long comment and it swallowed it  Better luck this time.

  • KiwiChick-I would not like to be like my mum-the way she treated me/sister etc was wrong, but I struggle with it somedays as the EASIEST thing would be to resort to smacking. I didnt want this cycle to keep going, so like yourself I did something about it. Its more difficult keeping calmer and working the situation out IYSWIM.

Im sure DH meant nothing by it and didnt think before he did it..like most men really;) Does he know of your childhood problems? Maybe explaining, might make him see things in another light:confused: I had to do this with my OH on a few different things.

    Hugs and chill hun.

    Morning All:hello:

Enjoying a quiet 5 mins before getting Spud up & the work starts on the uber-expensive patio:eek: But to take just a little bit of the sting out of the cost, the guy who is doing the patio chopped down 2 HUGE trees yesterday & is currently stacking the wood in our front garden for us to use on our fire over the winter:D

:grouphug:to all who need them, especially Kiwichicks son. If he is old enought then I think Daddy should very humbly apologize to him & promise him a treat when he is better (son, not hubby obviously!) Apart from anything else, it would be a great lesson in helping your son understand why apologizing & meaning it is so important.

Right today is quick tidy round, then as I didn't get yesterdays shopping done because Hubby ahd the car seat, I'm off to find a cheap 21st pressie, plus a pressie for my 86 year old great aunt who has just moved into a home.

Anyone who hasn't read MemoryGirls Reputation post, have a look at it, it's truly fab:D She deserves post of the month for it_party_

Hope everyone has a good day:wave:
