Morning All,
Am FUMING this morning. I've been up since 1am with poor DS (age3) who is really struggling with a cold. Hes got all the lotions and potions to help him breathe but was still miserable so I let him into our bed at 4am. Hes a bit restless and is tossing and turning a bit, not a lot. He has to hold my hand while he tries to get off to sleep so hes constantly grabbing at my hands but I dont mind. 15 mins ago, DH (and today that stands for sodding hubbie, certainly not darling) shouts "Stop it Fin" and I hear a resounding smack:eek:. Bl***y A******e has smacked him cause hes annoying him. W****r, I'm the one whos been up since 1am, trying to be patient with a sick child, and coping with the monthly from hell.   So now I am downstairs consoling DS and wondering how to make that stupid, stupid man suffer. I dont hit the kids when they are naughty, let alone when they are sick and cant sleep. IDIOT:mad:
Rant Over, sorry.
Am going to have a browse and a coffee and try to calm down.

Dear Kiwi
Give your son a big hug from me, bless him they just like to feel safe and secure when they feel like that don't they, think you need a hug too.
As regards to DH, deal with him when you feel calmer, nothing you can do or say to him that will make any difference (or make you feel any better) when you are so tired and have a poorly child.
Hugs

Hi Kiwi, Frugal, Amanda,JocketUk, Twink and anyone I croos posts with. Phew that's the first time I've posted early enough to say hello to everyone, usually I'm on page 3.
Good luck to anyone expecting A level results in the family _ I remember the tension well.
Twink, i'll be keeping my fingers crossed for your Grandson.
KIwi, I know it's not an excuse but DH must have lashed out in frustration and probably felt sorry as soon as he did it, don't get angry, he'll be defensive, make him feel like slime, it's the only way to go.
Lots to do today, as well as the w word I've got to flylady the conservtory and boogie dd's room before architect comes tomorrow,

Morning Jockett,
Do you mean the big ASDA in bletchley??? If so, ITS FAB!!! Its massive and has a HUGE fridge section where all the yellow sticker stuff goes, its at the back of the store, about half way down, at the end of the milk section. Also, there is a HUGE ikea next ddor and they have a clearance corner, to the right of the tills as you face them, bargains to be had for sure. I sent dh in weeks ago to get some drawers for ds's room, cheapy ones for £19 but old smarty pants checked the clearance corner first and got a set marked down from £85(!) to £20!!!!!
If you go to the big shopping centre in MK be careful where you park. If you park nearer its dearer, try to park across the road if poss as its cheaper and there are crossing all over the place. Its weird to find at first cause it looks like a load of offices, very strange design. I've only been over twice so cant tell you much, but it does have The Works there.
HAVE FUN!!!

Morning Guys
Couldnt sleep last night so am really shattered this morning!
WM is on, DW needs going on after breakfast and the toilet has been cleaned. Need to do a washload for the dusters and microfibre cloths too today.
OH is finishing off painting the toilet today and putting up the new blind in there. We have gone for a deep red colour with white woodwork...looks dark but nice!
DD had a good time round her friends, but am a little annoyed that she only got 1 hrs sleep:eek:   ...they didnt go to sleep till 6am and she was exhausted when she got in. She had a couple of hrs yesterday afternoon, then woke her and got her to stay up till about 8'ish. After having a bath she went to sleep and is still asleep now. She is due to be leaving to go round another friends house for the day..cinema, gossiping etc in about an hour...im hoping she will be ok. Will do her favourite egg on toast and see if she gets a wiggle on then:rolleyes:
Today, Im not doing much. We are going to my Sisters tomorow overnight as its her anniversary and having a small party for her. I dont feel to well, so really do need to rest up today:o
Have to call Kings this morning, as I have had a leter this morning and I need to see 2 other consultants and because its quite a journey for us, they have given one at 11am and the other at 3pm...but....its on DD's first day of Grammar School-so will have to juggle them around as Im NOT missing her first day!
KiwiChick-Hope your little boy feels better soon. I would be fuming too hun.
Breakie: Bacon Sarnie
Lunch: Lamb Stew & Dumplings
Dinner: Soup and Roll
Hugs to all.

Good Morning Kiwi, Frugaljo, Amanda666, Aussielass, Jockettuk, Twink, Snoozer and everyone else to follow.
(((Kiwi))) - agree with Snoozer - lay on the guilt.
Have been up for 1 hour as am trying to get back to early nights and early mornings - I get so much more done that way. Will let the kids have their lay ins till a week before back to school then will get them back into routine also.
Still full of cold - have taken some cold medicine this morning as have lots today - min 4 loads of washing. The weather forcast is terrible but it looks ok out there at the mo will so will get on with it. If it rains the house will look like a chinese laundry but never mind.
Not all work today mind am meeting an old friend in a pub garden at 12 who I havnt seen for a while. DD is coming with me and DS will stay at home with his dad. Will have to work out a plan B though in case it does rain.
Not sure about dinner today - may be ham egg and chips, my friend might come back here for the afternoon so will plan for something quick and easy for when she's gone.
Anyway off now have a great day all.0
