Any tips for good places to visit? got 2 teenage boys in tow!:D
Depending on how old your teenagers are there is Combe Martin Dinosaur Park which is nearby. Ilfracombe is lovely we went there last week and had a go at crazy golf which my kids loved.

Our kids liked the Dinosaur park a few years ago, but Oh and I thought it was ghastly and v. overpriced:rotfl: don't think teenagers would be impressed;) .0

Good afternoon everyone,
Just got back home from our few days away, still have loads of unpacking to do, but was nice to find i had left my house tidy when i left, although now we are back DS and DD are quickly messing it up again!!!!!
Did a car boot sale with my mum on Sunday, only had a few things to sell, and i made £20, so was well chuffed!!!!
Its been nice to be away, and not have to do all the cooking and cleaning, and it has been wonderful to catch up with some old friends (including ronankfan (Liz)!!!) Mind you, have missed reading about everyone on MSE, and i still havnt read anything (although did read a few at Liz's house yesterday!) so sorry if ive missed anything important, im hoping to catch up with the threads later.
Hope everyone is ok, and are having a lovely afternoon,
Take care xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx0 -
hiya,
today has been uneventful so far as we have both ran out of our tablets and feeling a bit off - luckily i realised yesterday and ordered a repeat prescription. OH will pick it up shortly and we should hopefully be feeling better soon.
yesterday was the last day we would see youngest before his birthday on friday as he is going away with his mum to their caravan for a few days. we wanted to take him out somewhere but he only wanted us to take them to go skateboarding at the skate park. (moneysaving youngster!) trouble was their skateboards are pokemon ones from when they were younger and they were too embarrassed to use them with others at the park. so OH (their dad) took them to halfords where they picked luminous green spray paint to do up their boards - clever daddy!
didn't get any of the plans done at the new house. instead we took photos for ebay and listed some more clutter - fingers crossed it sells (6 items are selling already) we also started clearing the house of pictures/ mirrors/ ornaments. i cleared out the kitchen cupboards of some stuff we don't need here before we move.
we spent last night playing the da vinci code on the xbox - addictive.
tonight we are definitely going to the new house. taking with us some boxes we've packed and trying to finish some more of the decorating. we also have an appt to view another house to buy and do up at 7.30.

I feel really stuffed again. Must stop eating so much:rolleyes: Still was really yummy inspired dish.
Smoked mackerel potato pancake thing
Peel and grate 5-6 spuds, squeeze liquid out of them.
Chop a small onion and mix with spuds.
Fry in oil of choice until nicely browned without stirring, then with the aid of a large plate turn over so browned side is on top.
Mash together a pack of peppered smoked mackerel, a couple of handfuls of grated cheese, a couple of tbsp of yogurt, a tsp of mustard.
Spread this mixture over pancake, and when it's browned enough underneath slip the pan under the grill to brown the mackerel topping.
Serve with salad0
