    Afternoon everyone :hello:

elona - what a lovely memory for your DDs.

Kaz - you haven't offended me :grouphug: :grouphug:

I'm now back from my parents' house. We went for a lovely meal in the evening for my mum's birthday. That was whilst DH was here unpacking some of our wedding presents :D Whilst I was there, I took a walk around their village, putting some thank you letters through letterboxes. I've still got loads to write though.

My mum has now set off to Darlington to see her late-godmother's brother. Long story, but neither of them ever married and it now seems like my mum is an unofficial "guardian" for him even though they're not related. He's not very well (ie refusing to be admitted into hospital with a heart complaint, my mum getting phone calls from his neighbours etc) and my mum is worrying that she's getting into alot more than she bargained for. She did say a couple of weeks ago that this year no one was allowed to be ill (like my dad in Feb!), die (my grandfather in April), get married (me :D).... so someone is daring to break her cardinal rule. Fingers crossed that she finds him ok. :)

I've also arranged to see a couple of friends next week in sunny London. A friend who is back from Australia is going to be there next Tuesday, so I'm meeting her for lunch. To make sure that I'm getting value for money on my train ticket, I've arranged to meet another friend for supper :D

Anyway, enough of my ramblings........ I'll no doubt be back later

    Vicky

Hey Taplady I lived in Ilfracombe up until 3 1/2 years ago. In my youth worked in many of the seaside restaurants including Maddys Chippy!! Still miss the beef curry from the Chinese (Sea Swallow). Are you in a hotel, camping or John Fowlers?

I used to be on the Depo injection, which was pretty good but I had to remember to have another every 3 months. I've now got the Implanon implant, so I can just forget about it for 3 whole years........... and not an ounce of PMT insight................... Just a whole lot of bad moods and stroppiness :D:D:D :rotfl:

the depo was great but it was found that if you use it over a long period as i had done over 5 years it can cause bone softening which is probably the cause of me breaking my ankles 3 times since been on it .. so off course im off it at the moment and they checking to see if im going through the change of life .. now let me see a change mmmm what can i look like tall leggy blonde would be nice

    Hi,

Back from my scan - can't say it was enjoyable - they were running over an hour late and then I was in the scanner for about an hour with my arms pinned to my side, of course my nose started to itch.:rotfl: I must say it would be terrible to have one of those if you were claustrophobic.

Need to go and sort out the conservatory before ds comes home with his mate who is staying the night (they are going to work at V Festival this weekend).

DD has passed her three months probation so she is now a permanent member of staff:j .

I'm on depo as well, but the doctor took one look at the weight of me and said "oh well you don't need to worry about bone softening". Thriftlady - I know exactly what you mean - none of the diets I keep trying seem to fit in with my lifestyle - I think I should try some real OS and stick to 3 meals a day with no snacks etc (or wine in the evening!!!). I definitely need to eat a larger lunch as we don't eat till after 7 in the evening and I get so hungry at 5 if I have a WW style lunch.

im well overweight (plan to do something about it now ive moved) and they never said my weight was a cause or a concern when they mentioned the depo just that i must come off after been on it so long.. someone said they were going to do away with the depo because of this problem but not seen anything about that
