:grouphug: to Elona (and anyone else who needs one)
Happy Birthday to Mr Proctalgia!
Yesterday I managed to finish the ironing, it took 5 episodes of CSI series 1 but I got there :rotfl: Managed to clean livingroom and hoover the kitchen. Got some dishes done, but there are still some sitting out by the sink waiting :wall:
Today I'm catching up on all my internet stuff, going to wash another batch of dishes and then I'm off to my Nans house to keep an eye on my brother while my mum goes and supervises some removal men who are going to Johannes house to move the end of her large furniture (beds etc) to Nans house as she's got to be moved out by tomorrow. The men are dropping the stuff of at Nans house and then I'm going to help mum shift it where it needs to go. Made a packed lunch each for DD and I, and I'm putting some videos and paper/crayons to keep her busy.
Spent 3 hours last night reading a local history book which is a guided walk around our district. The book has 3 maps in of the area and the walk is about 5 miles long in total. BUT the book is from 2000 and I know that at least 2 things have now gone (one building demolished and a post box blown up with fireworks) and DD has said she doesn't want to see houses where dead people live :rotfl: So I'm going to sit down with Autoroute/google earth now and see if I can cut some corners.
Should really get on with it as DD is desperate to go out without it being a shopping trip. Just wish it wasn't damp and dullLaters

You're not far from me, do you get to Swindon at all, I shall be coming down there soon to have a nosey for my christmas shopping.

Morning all :hello:
Well, I'm waiting to get the delivery of most bits and pieces from our John Lewis gift list. We don't have a clue where we're going to put it all whilst we sort it out.
Once the delivery has arrived, I'm popping up to Lincolnshire again as it's my mum's birthday today. I bought her present in the Boots sale for half price (£10 instead of £20). It's a little pamper set, so she needs it now:whistle:  .
I've just had a mad panic.... I went to the doctors on an emergency appointment as I was passing blood. Anyway, they've given me antibiotics and I couldn't find them for my morning tablet! I thought that I may have inadvertently put them in the bin  Needless to say that they weren't in there, but they were NEXT to the bin.
Anyway, I'd better carry on waiting patiently for the delivery. There was a John Lewis delivery van that went storming up our street, then storming back down.... but not stopping here! Fingers crossed ours is still on its way!!!
See you all later

Twink – Thanks, I love it
Chipps – The right hand side had JUST been finished with in seconds so it was a bit red and sore
Icemaiden – I have all that childbirth malarkey to come to yet, but for the time being my tattoo is my “baby”
Kiwichick – Thank for noticing… and a big kiss for you. Well done on the weight loss, we can be skinny minnies together!!
For info too… the tattoo is the last line of my wedding vows which end “You are my beloved and you are my friend” but I changed it slightly for the tattoo
Happy birthday to Mr Proctalgia
And big Geordie kisses to everyone reading *MWAH*0 -
Hi all
Hugs to Elona, I lost my dad a few years ago, i know how you must be feeling.
I made a huge pot of soup yesterday with the lamb bone, it tastes fab, I was hoping it would last me the week, but DD & DGS coming for lunch, so they will probably finish it.
Hubby has 4 days work, hooray, so that will help a little.
I've had a chat with the powers that be at work, I told them that next year I need to do all my holiday cover in a lump. I haven't been able to get any temp work, as I was doing holiday cover 1 day a week!
Have a good day everyone.
Hester

Morning All!!!
(((((Hugs))))) to Elona and family, thinking of you all.
Welcome Carolnmalky, Snow Angel, Ruthiejane.
Happy Birthday Mr Proctalgia!!!!!!!!!!!!
Have made two decisions this morning:
1. Need to get out of holiday mode and start getting back into my routine i.e making lunches and getting clothes ready the night before. This morning I was hard pushed to be out by 10 to 9 and I hate chaotic mornings.
2. Next year I would really like to take 3 weeks parental leave over the summer holidays. DH has 3 off, 2 of which we would be in Greece (hopefully) and then I would take the other 3 off when we return. The kids lovely holiday club is closing down at the end of the summer as they couldn't get funding. and I don't really want to send them anywhere else plus DS has kept on and on about me being at work these hols, when he is at school he doesn't mind school but he misses me being in the house during the hols. So as well as Greek hols, christmas, birthdays etc I shall have to save with this in mind too. Wish me luck!!
DH is on duty today and think he will be in the town centre all day as a contractor has cut through a gas main and Slough town centre has had to be evacuated, told my colleagues at the other office in the town to keep their eyes peeled for the hunky one with the scottish accent and give him a kiss from me!!
DH is out tonight so just me and kids, need to pop to Asda's as couldn't get a lot of stuff last night and then early night for them and I wil finish my household notebook, just need to put it into the ring binder now. Unfortunately whilst doing the notebook started re-organising my recipes too, found so many I had forgotten I had!! Any good ones I'll post them on here.
Our suitcase arrived finally!!!! So had a gorgeous glass of chiled rosado last night after shopping, closed my eyes and tried to imagine I was back in Spain but wasn't quite the same, where is the sunshine!!!!!! Can't believe this is August, had to have the heating on Sunday to get washing dried, felt soooo naughty.
Breakfast: nothing - see I need to get back into my routine!!
Lunch: nothing - routine!!
Dinner - pasta with creme fraiche & bacon sauce, weetabix brownies for pud.
Today, need to hoover upstairs and clean bathroom. In laws are coming in 2 weeks so house needs to be tip top. Have some charity shop stuff to drop , prescription to pick up, need petrol, go to Asda's, buy mop, buy ironing board.......oh and do a full days work too
Hugs

hi guys! i'm sorta new to the os board so if i mess up please forgive me!!!
today is technically my sunday (i work wed-sun) so day off work :j i need to get my meal plans sorted for the rest of the week including lunches for work (which i take every day) then make my shopping list for this avo. i need to pop by the docs to pick up my prescription (and debate over whether to make an appt or not...) then i'm gonna head to the gym and get my shop at asda on the way home. thinking of going to the cinema too, but don't think i can be bothered...
at some point i also need to update my cv and get onto the job centre website to find a new job with better hours (i want my weekends back!) and post up the instructions for making a stocking on my idiots guide thread. oh and if i pick up a charger at asda i can get photos sorted and posted too.
and i should really get some more stuff on ebay...
does anyone know a way to get more hours in the day???:rotfl:0 -
Morning everyone!
Firstly, condolences to elona, I just read about your dad, sounded peacefull at the end, will be a busy, confusing time for you now, take of yourself x
I really want to say something profound or have a poem ready but i dont sori.
moggins - I'll bag those rockets if i may to shove up DH and DS1 backsides!
Yesterday was "one of those days" from getting up late, getting to work late, broken label machine, computer playing up, broken cables etc, decide to go home and call it a day, tore new suit jacket on toilet lock! got home, kids played up going to sleep! Tried to get paperwork, filing sorted last nite, which resulted in seeing mobile phone bill for DS1:mad: which resulted in me blowing my top and shouting at him (no response from him, pretending to be asleep:rolleyes: ). OH and I find out that he will be leaving his job end of month without having another job to go to! WHAT Planet are these people on???
Well if he thinks he is going to sit at home on his butt playing computer games all day, he has another thing coming! If he was living with his dad (my ExDH) he DEFINATELY wouldnt be so easy going as good old mum.
Why is it i feel like im the only person holding the responsibility for everything??? no one else seems to care about going to work, gettin bills paid, not taking mum for granted??
Hopefully me doing my nut last nite has "sent some hometruths" into people's heads!!!!
Plus the fact that all the threats of another terrorist 9/11 in the UK happening does bode well when you sit on of the Canary Wharf towers!!!
RANT OVER - sorry guys not my usual happy post - dont like getting angry.:o
thanks kazonline - for postive vibes xx love the fence, good job there!
(dont have any muffins)
bargainrzl - flat seems to be coming along thats good xx
will end my post on a happier note, so here's some smiley faces0
