  • Ok - so today did not go quite as planned. Managed to rise nice and early about 11.30 (not bad after finishing nightshift) and hung out the washing and put another load on before I did anything!

Went to dads with the intention of doing the family tree stuff and unfortunately his joiner (who works on joiner time not real time!!! no offence meant anyone) turned up just before I did - 3 hours late - so Dad was busy working with him. Ended up sitting there doing not a lot!

Next stop was my sisters before heading back into work for 2.30 for a recreation meeting.....staring at the computer for that and trying to organising stuff got my brain all tired again!

Managed to drag myself a walk to Lidl for the 'essentials'! Needed dog food and ended up spending nearly £11. Not bad for what I got tho and they had the 'freebies' sitting after the checkout so I got 3 free loaves of bread, a dozen rolls (all bread and rolls in freezer now); some apricot croissants to take to my neighbours when nephew comes to play tomorrow; and a pack of briochette de chocolat which I have given some to the neighbours kid already!;)

Not bad, £4 worth of stuff for nothing! I think I hit it a bit late aswell as most things were gone from the freebies by that time!!!

Plans for tomorrow include (trying to) get up early and start painting the front of the house - roughcast and done nothing with it in four years (it's a yukky brown) - and then do the walls and railings as they are a total mess. Unless I can find paint amongst stuff in the shed I'm keeping fingers crossed the whole lot will only cost me about £50 as got about 5 litres of white paint there at least anyway.........:D

    hiya everyone,

flying visit from me, not been to bed yet.

got to move out in less than two weeks so we are mega busy.

OH was great yesterday and picked up 3 parcels, posted ebay & amazon stuff, picked up mail redirection form, saving a/c app & lost in post form and cut & strimmed front and back garden & made my dinner - what a star!

i spent the day looking after boys, getting parcels ready and listing on ebay, more to put on tomorrow.

todays plans are to go to bank, finish painting new house & list more stuff on ebay.

need to keep tackling washing and run down the freezer.

    xxx

  • Morning Guys!

Welcome newbies and of course we dont mind you starting the thread:D Chardonnay-good luck with the move!

Didnt sleep to well last night, but have to go back to the hospiatl today as some bloods came back high/low yesterday and have to go see the consultant again...its getting pretty ridiculous ATM...why cant it just balance out:confused: Managed to get out of iron infusions this week, but have to have 3 next week as we are going to sisters at the weekend and it will knacker me out too much and already knackered! Luckily:eek: I have 3 different appointments at Kings on Monday;)

WM is on. DW was emptied by DD last night and the toilet has been cleaned. Rubbish needs to go out later and recycling bits.

Dyed my hair yesterday a dark brown (normal hair colour really) and looks better. Where my hair has thinned so much, the last reddish colour made my hair look thinner but the dark brown looks much fuller. Have a hair appointment today and think my hairdresser will prefer it! I would love some slices through it, but will see what she says today:rolleyes:

DD is at a pyjama/slumber party tonight. Friends birthday and she has 5 of her friends going...I feel sorry for the mum:rotfl: So, we have had to buy DD new pj's (£6.60 for 2 pairs in Debenhams 80% off:D -they are beautiful and would have bought more, but only one set left:cool: ) and a pair of fluffy slippers (£2 Primarks:D ) Also bought a pamper set for her friend from Debenhams reduced from £16 to £2.75;) :D ....and coz I used my goldcard-I got it all wrapped free of charge and another 10% off. OH also bought 2 lovely going out shirts, reduced from £30 each to £5.40, so as we have 2 wedding s to go to..they were a bargain! Will send DD off with a nice bottle of wine for mum...as she may need it:rotfl:

OH is choosing a cultlery set for my sister today whilst im getting me mop cut at Argos. I have about £5 in vouchers on the card so this can go towards it. We have a budget of £25 including the £5 voucher:o I want to get a good quality everyday use one IYSWIM. Its their anniversary and are up there Friday and Saturday and having a little party with the kids. Mum and dad will be there too, so that will be nice.

Still havent done any more of my course but only have the conclusion to do:T...about 500 words or so. Still got 3 weeks though.

Anyway, I have to go make a cuppa. OH went to bed with a temperature last night and am hoping he is feeling better as he isnt good when he is ill...like many men:rolleyes:

    Breakie: Bacon Butty
    Lunch: Jacket Spud
Dinner: Shepards Pie, carrots & cabbage

Have a great day everyone and will pop back later.
    Hugs

    Morning all.

    Just a flying visit.

Need to pull the reigns in again after a weekend away in edinburgh. eeep. We spent too much.. but atleast i got to see the burlesque show i wanted.

Not long till the wedding, the house build has been postponed till march but that will be alot better financially for us as we can re-furnish it over the christmas sales!! hee hee!

Seeing as im still "young and daft" i got myself a tattoo on friday.... will have to show that off here : http://i16.photobucket.com/albums/b44/liecheatrepeat/DSC00010.jpg

Must sort out reclaiming my bank charges back, the amount im going to get plus interest is a tidy little sum. YAY. Must check on that forum thingy to see what i do next!!

Will post back later once i have woken up a little more.
  • ancasta-thats a lovely tattoo hun! Did it hurt? Hugs xxx

Not so much as hurt it was just VEEEEERY uncomfortable. Ithink it was more all in my head from having to lie flat out on a bed with my !!!!!! out and a strange bloke touching it to do the tattoo!

Looks lopsided in the photo... but you try taking a photo of your own back in a mirror with a camera phone :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

    Morning all!!

I haven't posted this early in eons. DD had a bit of a disturbed night, but DH did most of the running around :) Woke up at 6 to hear the "gentle" sounds of DH snoring so decided to drag my bones out of bed!

I quite like the silence of the house when everyone else is asleep, even though it is unlikely to last longer than 15 mins!

Today is not really going to be very OS as I'm doing a full week work wise this week. Got about 4 loads of washing / want to finish the hall curtain now DH has put the new track up :) / do some of DH's business finances / trip to the library for a greenhouse book :)

I'm still on with my mission of eating the odds 'n' sods out of the freezer and not purchasing anything until Sunday except for milk. Bread and veg are going to be a no-no too.

We have varying loaves / rolls / crumpets lurking in the freezer so they can be used 1st.

Any ideas what I can do with a punnet of cranberries

We're going to be away from home from Thurs afternoon to Sat evening, so I've only got 2 main meals to find plus 3 lunches as we both work from home.

I have a ton of soup in the freezer (mystery soup though as it's not labelled!!) so that's lunch sorted. Dinner could be more challenging!

B - Cereal with dregs of milk
L - Soup with mediterranean ciabatta
    D - Sausages / new potatoes / beans
