    (((((((((((((((mirry and elona))))))))))))

Wow you've all had such busy days I've forgotten who said what now!

Kaz - aren't you grateful we're meeting at St Fagans instead of me coming to your house? :D

I like the name Tabitha but then I have a cat called Pongo :)

DH has now gone to work, DD is in bed, DS is still at his dad's so peace reigns supreme, I may have a Malibu and Coke now, DD1 left the bottle behind when she moved out in January, I am determined to finish it before christmas :D

I am about four hours work away from finishing the rug and the scarf is now more than halfway knitted. I have watched 3 episodes of the new CSI Miami series (been recording it on that new funky Telewest gadget. It's a bit like Sky+ I suppose)

Shepherds Pie went down well for tea tonight, DH had two helpings and has taken the rest to work for supper. I only used half the mince so will knock up a bolognese sauce tomorrow to put in the freezer. I will stick another load in the washing machine before I head off to bed.

Elona - (((((Hugs)))))) it will be 7 years on the 31st August that I lost my Dad and it still hurts, my thoughts are with you. Your Dad is surrounded by love which is the most important thing.

PP - Good to see you back after your holiday.

    Mirry - (((((Hugs)))))

Pink - Your new fur baby is beautiful! I like the name Peaches for her. I would love a new kitten.

Moggins - so glad you have stayed here in Ol style!

We have been to see dd and she is ok but will have a lovely black eye. We took her lots of chocolate, flowers, magazines and snacks so the budget went off the rails this week but so what, this time people matter not budgets we will get back on track eventually. She is going to have a lot of anger so we have encouraged her to channel this into using her new gym membership (she got special rates through her new job!) we took her out today to buy some new trainers, in the sale of course! She is a fighter thank goodness and will not cower away in a corner.

It is obviously not our lucky day as we had a tyre blow out on the way back home! managed to pull in safely and the highway agency were wonderful and helped by fending off traffic while oh changed the tyre in the pouring rain! They gave me a foil blanket and a waterproof poncho as it was unsafe to stay in the car and the rain was torrential  I was soooo cold!

The Mets traffic car which also stopped on the other hand were horrible to oh and told him he was putting others in danger (as if he had any choice!) the tyre was down to the rims and steering impossible! I am soooo angry with them! They did nothing to help just had a go from their nice dry car! Really helpful thank you so much to the met police force!! for nothing!     Yes I am very angry! first my dd mugged and now this!

Anyway home now, we will recover from this and I have lots of hot chocolate in!

    Best wishes

    Catz x

    Hello everyone.

I'm really pleased to be back - didn't post yesterday as i wanted to catch up with what you had all been up to. ;)

I've feel quite glad to be home as centre park was quite exhausting. Particularly as FIL is so energetic he doesn;t like sitting still. They were wanting me to rent out a bike, but i politely declined as the walking was more than enough for me.

Also sorted out what things the ILs want to buy us for the baby, and when they would visit after the birth, and also opened discussions about xmas and what we would be doing.

We had a majorly busy day today finishing off the preparation in the living/dining room (wallpaper now off, skirting boards removed, radiator taken off and walls all washed round.) now need to sort out a plasterer quite urgently. I also cleaned the sink, WM and cooker, and completed 4 loads of washing. And picked the cats back up from their hols, and found they had a very good time.

We also managed to catch up with a friend on the way home, so a very productive week.

catz - sorry about your daughter and the car. We had similar on the M1 a few years ago, but unluckily wrote off the car. Very dangerous and not something i'd want to repeat.

PP and TM - glad you both had good hols.

mirry - happy birthday. Sorry it hasn't been a jolly one.

Moggins - you have inspired me. I'm trying to do some cross stitches for the babys room, and haven't touched it in a good few months. I need to do some soon really so that it is ready before the baby is a few years old. I also have a blanket to do.

i'm going to go now to chill out and perhaps catch up with some other threads.

    Michelle, xx

Moggins - you would be very welcome to sit in my garden - but you wouldn't get in my house unless you were very agile, it's a pretty good assault course at the mo!
Went to Tesco this eve 'specially to find some bargains and typically almost all of what they had was sandwiches reduced by 20 odd pence :(
Ok, I'm off to bed now - these late nights aren't doing me any favours, and was intending taking boys to a bootsale and the beach in the morn.....
    Hugs to Miri and Elona.
Will check oout the link to the pics tomorrow
    G'night all,

Sorry folks, this should probably be in The Arms, but I rarely go there and OS feels more like home.

I've let my partner go away for the week. I really wanted him to have a holiday with his son. I thought that his son going on holiday with "his dad and dad's girlfriend" would not be the same. We (me & partner) have taken my partner's son away for the past 3 years.

But ... they've also taken my pup :( And I miss them all. I think I could have coped better if I'd had either the pup or my partner here. I thought I would appreciate some "me time" .... but it ain't working out that way :(

I've been dog-sitting for friend today and we picked blackcurrants & elderberries. There's some jam & jelly in the making. And I have some organisation for the Fete to be getting on with. But I'm simply not enjoying the "me time" ... am I abnormal?

(Yes, I am abnormal generally, but I meant in relation to this dilemma!!) :D
    Warning ..... I'm a peri-menopausal axe-wielding maniac ;)
