Morning all! Wow, not many posts so far this morning. I'm up quite early considering I was up most of the night with toothache. Why is it that ibuprofen will work for almost any pain but toothache??? I was wondering....does oil of cloves actually work? Anyone know?

A good day yesterday. Sold another book on Amazon so I was hunting around for a padded envelope to put it in....couldn't find one..... but then the postie dropped a book from ReaditSwapit through the door so voila! One padded envelope! AND he dropped EIGHT whole hours of 24 through the door too so I was sitting here drooling over Mr Sutherland most of the day (apart from going shopping).

Shez - I have the same feeling when I go past my 'ex' place of work. Sort of smug!
Looking forward to seeing a pic of the kitten Pink, and what was wrong with your dog??
Sorry about your daughter catznine. I hope she is feeling a bit better now. Give her lots of cuddles when you see her
welcome arnie&caseysma! don't worry about talking things through with us, that's what we're here for! Hope you get your decision made
kiwichick, don't feel guilty about the slide, everyone is entitled to an off night
Moggins hope you are feeling better today.

((((Hugs)))) to everyone who needs one, especially catznine and her DD.

Breakfast is being weetabix with a handful of fruit muesli in it that someone gave me cos they were throwing it out
lunch will probably be leftover corned beef risotto that I made last night
dinner - OH's naughty bits if he doesn't stop annoying me!!!

Hugs to Catznine and your DD what a horrible thing to happen.

    Welcome to arnie&caseysma

Got a busy day today, nappies are currently swirling round the washer as I forgot to set the timer last night (doh) not many as have been using disposibles lately but not anymore back to my OS terries as she was getting towards potty training and I messed it up by putting her in disposibles that she cant feel shes wet in (doh again).

Got to go to the market and the butchers after i've finished on here and then later on a lady from freecycle is hopefully going to come and collect a WM that is currently living in our garage was supposed to be for my sister when she moves out but apparently she want a silver one to match her new kitchen.

DH is off to MIL's to fix one of the draws in her kitchen, the fronts been off for afew weeks now and I dont feel that comfortable leaving DD there when she has ready access to the contents of the cutlery draw including some large kitchen knives

Later on I have a large pile of ironing but not quite as big as Kiwichicks by the sound of it.

    Have a good day everyone

    Morning!

Thank you for all the good wishes! Just to let you know that she is ok (sort of) but in shock. Both of them are shaken up as it all happened so quickly! The police attended within 30 mins :T (she got to safety with her friend in the meantime) The police took her and her friend to the police station where they both made statements and the phone was cancelled.

We are just relieved as it could have all been so much worse!
We are going to visit her later and spoil her a bit. Also need to take an old phone with a sim card for her to use until a new phone is sent. Everything is having to go through her friends mobile at the moment. She has lost all her contacts, messages, photos which cannot be replaced.

Her bb has repeatedly told her not to use her phone in public especially not at night as this just encourages the B*******s to snatch them. Still no excuse for punching her in the face! I would be so ashamed if this guy was my son, luckily my ds and dd are kind, caring induividuals that I am very very proud of.

Thanks again for all the support, you guys are great! :T

    Catz x

    Morning all,

I had lots of thinking time last night and told myself that the views that I live by (that there are good and bad in all places) would also be true for here and I must learn to live with it. I will not deprive myself of the good friends I have on here because of a minority of bigoted people and from now on I am staying in OS.

Catznine, I hope your DD is not badly thrown by this, physical injuries always heal quicker than the mental ones, please send her a hug from me?

Can anyone explain why the weather is always foul when I have a washing mountain to get through? DH has also promised to fix the light fitting on the landing sometime in the next week, I nearly fell down the stairs in the dark the other night and I am so worried about one of the kids trying to make it down to the toilet.

Looks like we have a bit of sun, I am going to run out and shake the wet washing at it.

    Hello everyone,
Catz thank goodness your dd is OK, what a nasty thing to happen though:grouphug:
arnie welcome to OS - hope you don't mind being called arnie:D
Kiwichick my parents have similar feelings about their step gd,they got on really well with my brother's first OH and find new OH difficult to connect with. It's all v.difficult and of course not step gd's fault (she's only 12), but the whole step familiy thing has many ramifications and problems:rolleyes:
Btw I've completely and comprehensively fallen off the WW wagon:o

Boys have gone off to judo, dd is watching telly (no ballet in the hols but judo never stops).

DD is off to my mum's tomorrow to stay until Wed. She's really excited. We're taking the boys to see Pirates at the cinema and pizza afterwards which I'm really looking forward to - love Capt Jack:D

Beef stew for supper tonight and greengage crumble.
    Catch you all later.
