I love Muffins and the recipes sound so simple, but I am the only one here who likes them so dont dare to make them!
Not done much today after all work took over again so only managed a 1/4 of the ironing pile - will do better tomm as there def wont be buss calls. Good news is that managed to get rest of DD's uniform - just trainers and shoes to go.
Moggins - I know the thread you are talking about. I rarely post on the DT board but lurk every now and then and a lot of the threads can make me angry so as Thriftlady says I come back on here to read about someones Christmas Preparations or what people are having for dinner tonight.
Anyway must go, wanted to have an early night but there are a couple of threads I want to look at. Also must have a look at the cinema website as want to see Nacho Libra tomorrow.0 -
Goodmorning everybody,
VickyA Welcome back and the honeymoon sounds fab.
Zed A long time ago (about 20 years) I was reading a book about a famous moviestar who wrote his memoirs. He had a long marriage & he said that about his marriage. At the time it really struck me too. That is was quite normal to have good years & bad years. I felt the same as you. I drew comfort from it and never forgot the comment.
Moggins Don't worry about it. The thing with DT you have to make sure your statistics are correct or you get pulled to bits. I speak from experienceand you can get canned when your right as well. Don't let it stop you, as some of them are a great bunch over there too.
I better get going. Have a bit to do today.Hope you all have a good nights sleep.
TM Great to hear that you powering along. :TDon't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia.0 -

Afterwards I drove past my old work place where i got made redundant:mad: and do you know what.....it look so shabby and dreary i thought to myself i wouldnt go back there now! so thats good isnt it:D just goes to show how all the upset, i now have a new job and nice place to work in - i just didnt realise what was out there in the world!
Sorted out some of the kids toys (to get rid of some whilst they are not looking) decided to count DS cars cos there is so many i was curious - totalled about 350 cars, boats, planes, helicopters, motorbikes, buses!
DS also had his pre-school booster & meningitus booster, didnt bat an eye, bless him. Made sure no one touched his plasters on both his arms, he's left them on till the morning (imagine the acting bit here):rotfl:

Good Morning Shez,
You're up early!
It's strange how sometimes things turn out for the best. My DH was made redundant three years ago...it felt like the end of the world at the time, but looking back it was probably one of the best things that ever happened to us. I went back to work (part time) after 14 years at home...something I would never have had the confidence to do if it hadn't been forced upon me and he got a much better job than before. I loved my job so much that I'm still doing it, even though I only intended to go back for a while to tide us over.
Well I have had a fantastic day today....I've been trying all week to organise getting a kitten from the local animal shelter and today I've brought her home. :j She's an absolute darling, and with some help from Snowy Owl (thank you Snowy) she has settled in really well. The only problem we are having is choosing a name, we just can't agree on one we all like, so if no one minds I'll post a picture of her later today and maybe some of you could come up with some suggestions?
Anyway, I ought to get some sleep soon, though I really don't want to take this little fur ball off my lap. I hope you all have a great weekend!

Morning!
Not going to get a lot of sleep now our dd has just phoned from London to say she has just been mugged!
The B*&&*r punched her in the face and took her phone! Luckily she has her friend with her and managed to call us and get to safety. She is with the Police now. I feel so useless as I can't get to her until tomorrow, I know there is nothing I can do other than give her a cuddle and that can I guess wait until tomorrow but I feel so sick as it could have been so much worse.
Sorry for going on but as I said sleep seems to be unlikely!
Going to try a cup of hot choc and a browse on here till I feel better and then try to get some rest.
Catz xOur days are happier when we give people a bit of our heart rather than a piece of our mind.

has she been to hospital? the police can wait- injuries take priority. the main thing is she is safe- go to bed and try and get some sleep or at least rest - sounds like today will be long and the more 'awake' you are the better for dd. need to report phone stolen.dd also likely to be in shock (understandable given what's she been through).0
