Oh Catznine, how dreadful! I hope your daughter is OK, but what a shock - she needs her mum now - a cuddle and a shoulder to lean on sound exactly like what she needs.

Shez - I got the chop after 11 years, so can appreciate what you are saying. It has been a bit bumpy for me since leaving, but I have experienced so much since my departure I would never, ever want to wind the clock back and stay there rather than take redundancy.

Pink, it has been fun thinking about little kittens again. My baby is about nine months old...but nearly fully grown now. The first six months sees them grow and change so much and so quickly. Take lots and lots of photos! (BTW a colleague's six month girl kitten recently had three kittens of her own...my little boy got his lumps removed when he was only four months old...so possibly a pencilled in date in her diary for around October??). I am so looking forward to seeing a picture of your little furball.

I'm going back to bed now. To try and encourage some sleep I am not going to count sheep, but instead will think of Shez's little one's collection of toy cars, buses etc and see if I can get to 350... gosh, 350...I guess that's a lot...

    Bye!

Shez - I too was made redundant after 14 years with a company, looking back it was the push I needed to re-assess my life. Thinking about it after reading your post I think I could do with reflection /take stock time again. You know when you are floating along and not really going anywhere- thats how I feel. Oh pretty deep for 6am :D

Pink-winged- Have to admit ( as its quiet) I'd always read your user name as pig winged ( cringing with :embarasse: - sorry I get it now though!)

Catznine- big :grouphug: for you and your daughter, what a terrible experience, I hope that things look/feel better with time.

Vicky A or should that be R - will be waiting to get home from w**k to see the photos - glad you are back and had a wonderful time.

Snowy - Hope you managed to get some more sleep - counting cars would remind me a traffic jams too much so don't thiink it would send me to sleep

:grouphug: to all those that follow.

Not much OS for me today - am at w**k all weekend. Was hoping that my new yoghurt maker would arrive yesterday  maybe today. Need a quick swish and swipe and then I will need to get a wriggle on.

OH did buy Chinese in the end last night - but have to admit its been so long since I had one I ended up not really liking it

Have fun today, keep smiling - it will keep people guessing what you are up to :D:D:D

    Hiya,

I know this is yesterdays thread but I just wanted to post a BIG HUG to ELONA, I know just how you feel at the moment. We went through similar with FIL whilst I was pregnant with DS. My thoughts are with you and your family.

  • Morning all! Just arrived in from work and having a much needed glass of wine to help me calm down and unwind before I even attempt to go and sleep! What a night it had been, glad it's over!

Managed to get another three items listed on ebay (woohoo!!!), fingers crossed they will sell - got another car full of things that didn't sell at the last car boot sale to get listed but only manage a few things at a time!

Been on here a wee while now watching the boards and started posting a couple of weeks ago......now actually managed to get myself thinking about what to do about the sticky situation I am in (fed up trying to ignore it, it wo't go away!) with money and the associated debts. Got to make a real decision in the next couple of days and fingers crossed I will make the better one. (Sorry to put a dampner on the day at this early hour but no-one elsse to tell :( ).

    Catch you later!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Nite!!! lol

    Goodmorning everybody,

Thought I'd post now before I go out. It's been a nice day here. Went and did a few things up at the block and then DH & I went for a walk. 1 1/2 hrs later I limped home. :D DH is an adventurer at heart and never sticks to the path but explores all the undergrowth and different tracks. We are going to visit my uncle tomorrow. Nearby where he lives is a gorgeous winery where we will stock up.;)

Catzine (((((hugs))))) for your DD. How awful for her. I hope they catch the mongrel.

PW Is your furball a little girl or boy? I will put my thinking cap on. What about Skippy. :D

Snowy Hope you went back to sleep. Maybe another muffin will help. :D Talking about muffins, I was watching Ainsley on a cooking show today and he made........wait for it.......white chocolate & raspberry muffins.;) I had to smile at the coincedence.

Well I'll better be off. Catch you all later. Byeeeeeeeeee Have a nice day.
Don't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia. ;)

First on my list is a 11_2_104.giffor your daughter CATZNINE (and one for you too, can imagine how helpless you are feeling). I hope they catch the sod.

This weekend we have my SD (step daughter) here, the kids love seeing her but TBH I do find it a strain. Really selfish and horrible of me I know, I keep hoping that feeling will change but its been 6 years now and it still feels the same. I would NEVER let her (or DH) know how I feel as I know its really important for them to keep up their relationship and I wouldnt dream of keeping her away from my kids. Oh !!!!!! being an adult sometimes-ya know?!?

My weight watchers took a slide yesterday, I had a vegie burger for tea, follwed by chocolate! and HM fruit loaf! Oh but it tassted SSSSOOOOO good. Will have to try and be virtuous till weigh in on monday night.

Laundry mountain to tackle today, some on line now, some more in WM, 2 more loads to be washed and at present 3 piles to fold and 2 laundry baskets full to iron, thats what I get for slacking .

I am going to make lists today of all the recipes I need to copy for my recipe folder. Have the folder and the file tabs now need the plastic pockets and the recipes! I have also decided to make a family routine planner. My kids have gotten all out of sorts with the holidays so I am going to try to implement a routine of sorts at home. Regular mealtimes, snacktimes, little activity each afternoon etc. Should keep me entertained too-lol.

Off for some coffee to keep me going, been up since 5am with DS (he's doing fabulously with the potty training BTW).

    Enjoy your weekend fellow moneysavers,
    Kiwi.

EDIT-Cross posted with arnie&caseysmum, welcome to oldstyle. I hope you manage to make the decidion your mentioned. We are all here to help with Moneysaving on the household front should you need any advice.

    Morning all:hello:

(((Hugs))) to Catznine & anyoen else who comes along who needs one. What a horrid thing to happen, hope yoru daughter gets over it OK.

Well, got pasta on to make pasta salad for tomorrows picnic. all the other cooking is done, just putting dishes together now, plus I think I might pop out & grab a box of chicken legs & cook to add as the meat from the duck is a bit thin on the ground to go round 10 people:rolleyes:. Looks like teh weather tomorrow is going to be too wet for us to have the picnic though, which means we will all be squashed into our small house:sad: which means I have to carry out a special clean & tidy:doh:which I was really hoping to avoid:p Bu**er:rolleyes:

Welcome to arnie&caseysma! Love to see a new face. Hope you enjoy your breakfst/dinner glass of wine:D

Hope Pink Winged's dog is mcuh better this morning & that Moggins isn't still fuming like last night:p
