    single cream?

... You could cut it into blocks and do an 'experiment' with different things. That's what I would do - but mind you I am incredibly boring and I am a scientist.

    ... oh know - here I go.

Condition 1. control - add nothing.
    Condition 2. single cream
    Condition 3. double cream
    Condition 4. milk
    Condition 5. water

    Protocol

    1) catch your tablet and kill it according to HO guidelines and local SOPs
    2) break up tablet into equally weighted bits
    3) melt slowing in a saucepan
    4) add amount diluent as stipulated in the experimental conditions
    5) cool for the same amount of time on a chilled dinner plate
    6) test for viscosity by inverting plate over the head of nearest small child
    7) inspect small child for signs of crumbs/stickyness
    8) note results
  • I don't have any useful advice.I just had to say that tablet is lovely, such a shame you don't like it!

Maybe you could mash it up and mix it up with a crumble topping?

Alternatively you could always take it into work/give to friends/ let me have it (please!)....:)

I didn't think it would be long before someone was on saying it was lovely! I don't mind the taste, it's the texture just goes for my teeth!

Break some up and crumble it through a nice vanilla ice cream, it is amazing. Nothing really brings tablet back after it seizes, if you really can't bear it, send me some, I made a huge batch for my sister's wedding yesterday, and managed to come home with none :(

I'd wrap it up and save it for someone for Christmas, might be a good doorstop by then ;)

I quite fancy it mixed up with ice cream!

Doorstop is no good.....Already cut it up.

So, what's the difference between tablet and fudge then?

There is enough sugar in this stuff already never mind adding crushed meringues!

It's slightly harder than fudge, but not chewy like toffee. It should have a slight 'bite' to it.
