I think some posters were a little harsh to you. You did actually email the seller to ask for the postage and received no reply, so you did read the auction correctly and it wasnt your fault...also its states what the acution was for in the original post.. The wholepoint of MSE forums is that its a place where you can ask help or advice..not be told off for posting a thread...Forum members dont have to read the post if they cant be bothered in replying and we shouldnt be discouraging anyone from posting a question. Hope you werent offended. ;)
    I love this site

You could report seller to eBay for "excessive postage" - they claim to be trying to banish those sort of sellers.

Were it me, I wouldn't pay on the basis that seller did not reply to your email during auction regarding postage costs. And use that as response to any neg feedback you get.

Or, tell seller that postage is excessive and see if you can do a mutual "withdraw from auction" so that seller gets their fees back. No feedback is left by either party in these circumstances.

Sorry if all this is really "old hat" to you! And Good luck!

  • I never even bid on items with postage costs that high, unless the item merits the cost, ie it's a heavy item. I'm not in the habit of subsidising others paypal or ebay fees. It really annoys me when postage is high for no reason other than greed.

Surely they will say that their post and packing charge is £15, end of story. I don't think anyone is suggesting that the seller is unaware of the true cost.

Oh I am getting more anoyed now. I have been trying to contact the seller (nicely) but each time I email them they just send me another invoice. I am asking by what method of delivery would they be using.

Now I have had 4 invoices.

personally i would take the NPB mark and learn from that mistake rather than continue with a seller who isnt decent enough to reply to an email, and seems a bit petty in continually sending an invoice !
