Got home last night to find a letter from the Court to say that I am entitled to a divorce - the decree nisi is to be granted next week and whats more
the court granted that he pay my costs too :j:jso that means by the 26th August I will be officially divorced... . There was a telephone message from his solicitor saying that they had received the paperwork regarding the decree nisi and could I contact them with regards to the fees already incurred......:T what a result !! I don't care how long it takes him to pay it but knowing that he has to is such a poke in the eye with a sharp stick to him :rotfl:
On another note I have raided my piggy bankand have bought a 125 motorbike last night. It is taxed and tested for a year and I am hoping to use this to and from work in the not too distant future so this will save money on petrol etc. Plus if 'we' get on okay I may consider getting rid of my car altogether or getting a cheapo runaround car.
All in all its been a really good week, with winning the lottery £42, then my job offer, my divorce news and my bike:). I am feeling a lot happier and more chilled about things in general.
Got my hospital appointment on Monday too, so hopefully that will be straightforward won't have to wait long for the results as I am at the Doctors on Wednesday.
Wahayyy its Friday counting down to the weekend now !!

Thanks Abba I am truly...:)
I passed my CBT bike test....:T:j so I took my first baby steps on my bike and we covered 22 miles. Was a bit scary at first but I am pleased to say that I didn't do too bad, and OH said that I was fantastic :j although told him that he was biased he said that he would tell me if I had done anything wrong as I would then learn from that and not do it again....:A he was brilliant he followed me around making sure that no cars got too close and when I stalled my bike at the junction he waved the car drivers around me.:)
And ....the great news is my divorce is in court tomorrow so by the end of tomorrow I will have been granted my decree nisi and then roll on the 26th August when it comes absolute !!! :j:beer:
Oh and the scan showed no untoward lumps or bumps so that is good news...:)although the operator said that the scan doesn't show up endometriosisso it looks like more tests are on the horizon.
Just need to sort out start date for new job....although its looking more like the beginning of September which gives me more time to receive my redundancy notice. Hopefully this amount will clear off a couple of the smaller debts and a chunk of another.
Onwards and upwards....bf xx

wow lots going on! great news on the divorce and also on the CBT!
I had to do mine again too - was heartbroken on the day but it was definitely the right thing to do. After that I had a few lessons with instructors but was finding I was forgetting everything in between the lessons, so eventually my dad found me a bike and I buzzed about on that for about 9 months to get my confidence up. I put in for my test and passed first timeand now I would recommend it to anyone unless they have previous bike experience and just want to polish up and pass their test.
I hope you are enjoying itand also hope things come together with the job situation too. I am hoping things settle down for me very soon, and I have had nowhere near the level of changes you have had to deal with, you must be exhausted with it all!

thanks everyone
long rambling post so please bear with me ....
I passed my CBT first time so that in itself was an achievement to say that I have only just started going on a motorbike as a pillion back in April this years...omg it seems ages ago does that....but I haven't been out on my bike since last week, the weather has been horrendous...although did do my test when it was raining.
The work situation is stressing me out no end....my secondment has said sorry but no thanks we can't fund the position, which is okay I have accepted that fact.....so I applied for another job and got that :T ...great stuff £25 a week worse off for working 2 days less can cope with that....:) have got a date to start which is the 7th of next month....and this is where the problem lies....
On Mondy I was at our HO reviewing caseloads and seeing various clients etc. when Boss tells me that I can take time off for interviews or to look for other jobs etc...and gives me a hug...
I have sent a couple of emails to my boss over the last couple of weeks to ask when they intend starting my redundancy process and when should I expect to leave etc I never got any kind of response. One was sent yesterday and today that I have been told over the phone that she doesn't intend making me redundant or to even start the redundancy process/consultation until the funding runs out which is the END of September because it maybe that we receive further funding to allow me to carry on with my job !!! She then went onto say that she only mentioned me taking time off for the interviews as she had been told that another work colleague mentioned a vacancy working in a similar environment and I seemed very keen, when in truth I wasn't interested at all and didn't even give it a second thought.
And here lies the dilemma.....
Do I take the new job and work on a temporary basis until the end of March covering maternity leave?
or
Do I stay with the same company having a permanent job and if I am then made redundant will receive my redundancy pay out? By the time the funding runs out and then I been consulted and notice given etc that could realistically take me up to around Christmas time....by then if I had left to take the new job I would have 3 months work left.
My 2 close work colleagues that know have said that I should stay and take what is due.....OH has said that we will discuss it when we get home. I know by staying with the same company I will have less income and more expenditure as I will have to pay car parking costs
Stressed or what??
any ideas anyone??

How much will your payment be for redundancy? Either way both jobs are temporary one until christmas and the other until March. It is a case of deciding which is more financially viable for you. Look at your calculations and then decide.
Hard decision though, I would go with which you think is the better option. If you have had enough at work and the costs are not that good, then go for the other job.Halifax CC £1029/£2490, Tesco CC [STRIKE]£0/£3203[/STRIKE], Tesco loan £15431/£15808, Carloan1 £6743/£8241, Carloan2[STRIKE] £0/£3813[/STRIKE]

thanks flee
the redundancy package works at around £3500, my current hourly rate is £10.50 an hour and I work a 37.5 hour week I would have to pay parking at around £7.00 per day unless I used my bike which then it would then be free but for now is permanent.
The new job is £13.06 an hour I work 22.5 hours - no parking, but slightly further than where I am now maybe a mile at the most, its temporary until the end of March which they initially advertised it as 8 months cover but that has reduced to 7 months now....:(Total debt £[STRIKE]37864.78 [/STRIKECOLOR=purple][FONT=Arial Narrow][SIZE=1 [/STRIKE][STRIKE] £31681.03[/STRIKE] -[/SIZE][/FONT][/COLOR]£16700
